My family of five stayed at El Rancho for two nights in July 2022. We had a top notch experience. Checking in was very turnkey and easy. We loved the decor and design of all of the outdoor seating areas. Our room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. All in all, it was a flawless stay. Highly recommended!

Loved staying at El Rancho motel. Would stay again in the future. Cute little motel with outside patio, to be shared by all guests, to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon wine. Nearby restaurants and easy walk to the hotel del Coronado and beaches. In room coffee and all amenities that are needed for an overnight stay. Comfy bed, microwave, small refrigerator, keith coffee maker and real coffee cups (not paper), towels for beach and shower, parking on site or on street.

Arrived to El Rancho Motel and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was small and clean. It is a 2.5 star hotel but the vibe is wonderful. The beds were amazing! Had a really good sleep. We arrived late and was worried about the check in process but it was all super easy. Stayed for 2 nights and unfortunately the weather was not great so we could not enjoy our coffee or a glass of wine at the porch, which i something I was looking forward to do. The location of the hotel is great and I if you are looking for a place to stay the night and do not want to spend a lot of money this is the place!

Loved the landscaping and the two outdoor seating areas. This is a really small and cute motel. The parking is limited but free with two spaces in front and several in the alley at the rear. The best part is the location-within walking distance of ferry, Coronado Beach and several restaurants. The room was on the small size but clean. Probably could use a little updating in the bathroom with the grout, scuffed door jam and a shower that took some time to get hot water. The mattress was firm but fairly comfortable. Be prepared for significant traffic noise from busy Orange Ave but it did not interfere with our sleep. Management is not on site 24 hr. I would say it was a very good value. Oh, and the pink flamingos were kinda cute as well.

Our travel agent booked this property for us. We looked online at the number rooms and location... We were surprisingly pleased when we arrived. This is an absolutely wonderful location. Well within walking distance of many restaurants and the Coronado Bay.. The front office staff was friendly and most helpful. House keeping does an excellent job. A fabulous trip with, I will say again a refreshing change from a large hotel.. We absolutely love this motel!

A very basic motel. Great location - restaurants a few blocks away. The beach is about a mile, and the bus is free in the summer. Try Coronado Brewing Company. Excellent! I don't know why I need to add more words, but I have to meed the 200 character minimum.

I stay at El Rancho about once every 3 months. For me, it is a convenient base on Coronado: most places are within easy walking distance or a short Uber ride. Rooms are a little on the basic side and showing their age, but are nevertheless quite conformable. Booking ahead, one can usually grab a good price, but sometimes it can be as expensive as a full service hotel.

This little motel is the cutest! My fiancé and I stayed at this location for a weekend to celebrate his birthday. Lady at the office desk was very nice and informative during our arrival. The rooms are small for bigger families but for couples it’s honestly perfect. The building does appear a little older from the outside in some spots but don’t let it fool you, it’s a great pick for the prices they offer in beautiful Coronado! It’s about 15 minute walk to the beach and you can get some coffee on the way since there’s plenty coffee shops down the street. Also, it’s like a 7 minute walk to catch the ferry. The seating area in front of the TV came in handy when we ordered take out and just relaxed in the room. Also, it’s a cheap ride to and from Gaslamp ! I’d definitely stay here again.

Cute place. Very small. I think just 10 rooms. Very quiet. Felt very safe. Room was quite small. But had everything that we needed. Perfect for our quick little get away. They have made this very cute outdoors with comfy patio chairs. They have beach chairs and umbrellas for your use. We brought our own, but they did have them for free for you to use. Beach towels as well. Friendly staff. Very accommodating.
