Coronado is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in California. It was a fairytale. Great food, service and met every expectation. Great place for kids and small dogs. So much to do, so make sure you plan at least 3 nights.
Great location walk to shops, beach and restaurants. Rooms facing street are somewhat noisy. Clean and well maintained. Friendly, efficient staff. Free parking available. Across the street from the Del Coronado.
Our family of 4 stayed in a one bedroom on the 3rd floor and enjoyed our stay. We walked to most places, but drove to the Ferry Landing and the Zoo. I attended a conference across the street at the Del and so glad I stayed at the CBR instead esp since we had a kitchenette and it was cozy and quiet! From the pics I was scared this place would be old and dingy, but no, it was nice, clean, and smelled good! The three people we met at the front desk (on different days) were nice, informative, and made us feel welcome. We parked free of charge in the garage which is nice because we noticed parking is hard to come by on the island! We were so glad we stayed here, would definitely stay here again.
always "home", had a great room and thoroughly enjoyed the week. Only distraction was trying to figure out the potency of the coffee maker, I don't drink coffee but my mom does. Hopefully they will have the coffee available in the lobby for our August trip next week
Oh my, we went there for lunch on the beach while in San Diego and it was an amazing experience. The view was amazing and the food was superb. The fries was the best we've ever had (and we had fries allover the world); a super crispy thick crust with a super smooth interior. A must try!
We loved the location of the resort, however our rooms were SO NOISY. Literally did not sleep all night long due to street traffic. When I go away on vacation, the one thing I look forward to is sleeping in - not only did I not sleep in, but I didn't sleep at all. The property should look into sound machines for all the rooms that face the street or upgrading the windows to block out sound.
I had a one night stay here recently and I was very impressed. Very welcoming staff, a very nice theme and the room I got was exceptionally clean. I had a view of the famous Hotel Del Coronado. It is right in the mix of everything! The beach, restaurants and shops are within very short walking distance!
I would give this place 10 stars, if I could! If you are looking for a family frendly, perfectly located and customer-centric vacation place, you have arrived. We do not own a time-share but with 3 kids ranging from 2 to 8 in age, time share renals have become our go-to vacation preference and we are never disappointed. Yes, the hotel is old but that to us is part of its attraction. It is tastefully updated and offers all kinds of amenities, both en-suite and at the hotel. The reception staff is as kind and helpful as they come! We arrived at 11 am and even though check-in was not until 4 pm, they let us check in immediately and were able to upgrade us to a 2-bedroom suite at our request! Special shoutout to Michael and Jazel for that amazing checkin. Crib for the toddler was immediately brought to the room. The game room, beach equipment and Ms Cody, the talking macaw in the lobby were the kids' favorites! The unit had 2 full baths but please note, the secondary bedroom has no windows and closes with just a curtain. After we returned home, Liane contacted us to let us know housekeeping had found a nightlight we had in the kids' room. Talk about customer service! We were very pleased with everyone whom we interacted with, especially Liane, Michael and Jazel and look forward to returning to Coronado Beach Resort soon! Dani and family…
In light of what is going on in the world we had no idea what to expect when we arrived for our vacation this year. But I have to say CBR has done their best to make us still feel like this is our home away from home. It was very sad that they had to cancel so many of our favorite things about our week there - the margaritas, the donuts, the different outings they plan. The saving grace was the friendly faces (even with masks) were still there and our favorite bird, Ms. Cody, still graced the lobby and was so happy to see people (my daughter in particular). Don't let COVID keep you home - go to your happy place at CBR - I'm glad we did!
