I came to Coronado Island for work, and found this B&B online for a place to lay my head. Wish I had my wife with me as this was such a beautiful property, and so nicely appointed. Convenient to our event at the Hotel Del Coronado, at a very reasonable price. Will try to stay here again! And, I left a charger in the room and they contacted me immediately so it could be returned.
This is a very cute but old bed and breakfast in the center of Coronado. It is only a few blocks from the beach. there is a Starbucks just half a block away, next to which is a Panera Bread. The lodge owners pay great attention to detail, which is much appreciated. I stayed here for all of $107 on a weeknight in high season. Thus, the price could not be beat. Note, however, that you are getting what you pay for (probably a little more than you pay for) and that this will not be a high-end experience. Even so, I would gladly return. If you are looking for chrome, marble, and a casino-like setting, Cherokee Lodge will not be for you. But since I am not into excess like that, Cherokee Lodge suits me fine.
Vintage Lodge with antique furnishings on a pleasant residential street in easy walking distance of the main avenue through Coronado. The complimentary cold breakfast basket changed a bit each day and you could go to the sitting room to get coffee and tea and either eat there, on the porch, patio or in your room. Our room and bathroom were cozy and well appointed, though compact, and we thought a good value. I would probably not bring young children or babies and it's more convenient not to have to locate on street parking.
Great place! Good location on Coronado with parking so you have the freedom to move around while there. The staff was incredibly helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything I could need - a heater, air con, a hair dryer, even beach towels! I had good wifi there too. The room came with an amazing complimentary breakfast with fresh bagles, cream cheese, eggs, pastries, fruit, juices and coffee. Lovely place - great value for money.
2nd stay in the same room! Staff are wonderful and very helpful. Rooms are neat and clean. Very homey feel. People must keep in mind this is an old house. Location is perfect. Parked the car for 2 days. Walkabilty is great. Parking can be a pain though. No designated spots for guests. No guarantees. Private bathroom needs more hooks and a bit more storage. Overall, great visit. Thanks!
