Perfect location, really no need for a vehicle. Everything is close (restaurants/shops/bus etc.) Nice outside sitting areas. Room was very clean and cool, opt to use A/C or open windows. Our room was very spacious with a nice sitting area. Staff very friendly, very clear communication. Will stay here again.
I booked a room somewhat last minute to visit a family member in the final phase of life. The location was great, the idea of a having a good breakfast every morning without having to go to a restaurant was a bonus and the price was better than what I was finding elsewhere—so I grabbed it! It wasn’t until after I had booked and paid for the room that I received notification that there was no breakfast service and my room had a private bath… in the common hallway. I let it slide. The website says you can’t check in until 3. But the staff all leave at 3. So there is no personal interaction at check in. I got there at 3:20, found my keys and set about unpacking. When I tried the lock on the bathroom, it would not unlock. For the next :30 min I kept trying to get the bathroom open or find someone to help me. After 5 phone calls to the “emergency” number. Someone finally came and got the bathroom open. Thank goodness that didn’t happen late at night! The rest of my stay was fine.…
Great location, one block off Orange Ave., 2 blocks from the beach, quaint little BB, clean, quiet place. A small area to get water, snacks, fruit, yogurt, bagels etc. all day. My only complaint was the breakfast was just ok, sort of a grab and go. Wish it was a bit more, but overall great experience and recommended. No staff at hotel after 3 pm .
I have stayed at Cherokee Lodge since the 1980’s and it is always, every time, a special treat.Location is perfect, near the Del, near the beach, near the shops and dining on Orange Avenue. Comfortable beds, spotless bathrooms, and a nice breakfast area add touches you’ll appreciate too. The host was very. Helpful in helping me obtain early check in when I arrived early. I love spending some time in the rockers on the porch with a glass of wine and a good book. And the flower gardens are always in beautiful bloom. Can’t go wrong..Each of the the rooms have their own special charm.
Cherokee Lodge is the only place we stay when we go to Coronado. We love the quaint cozy feel of this historic house and the location is convenient to everything. We walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. No need for a vehicle at this location. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming at the Lodge which is definitely an added benefit to us.
The room was very clean and had everything you would need. They we very accommodating when we needed anything. It’s so close to all the restaurants and shops. We came with no car and truly didn’t need one. It was nice that there were delicious snacks available for a quick bite. As well as a coffee maker and fridge in the room. We would definitely recommend this place .
I was looking for a room to accommodate my grandma and my great aunt. I contacted the lodge and I was transferred to Erin, the lodge Manager. I was telling her that I was a little antsy traveling with teenagers and my grandma and great aunt, so she immodestly booked my fam. Into a very nice comfortable room. Everything is super clean, neat and so peaceful ! She even left a bouquet of flowers to make my grandma and my great aunt feel welcome, they were very happy! Which made our trip smoother !
We found this gem years ago and have never stayed at another place since. It is an old house converted into the cutest bed and breakfast with the KINDEST staff. It is very close to "downtown" Coronado and close to all the restaurants and shops as well as only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. We love it!
The Cherokee Lodge is a wonderful, inviting, and relaxing place to spend time in Coronado Island! The rooms are cozy and quiet and the staff is attentive and friendly. The manager, Andrea, has made the property cozy and inviting, with all of the comforts and conveniences one would expect from a 5 star hotel. We can't wait to stay here again!
This Bed and Breakfast is a great place to stay in Coronado Island ! Walking distance from a lot of restaurants and shops. The beds are comfortable and you have your own bathroom! Beautiful landscaping and very quiet ! We had such a great time here !
