Just returned from a much needed relaxing stay here and can echo the praise of other reviewers. We loved it all! The location is perfect for walking anywhere you’d want to go. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and the happy hour provided a nice chance to refresh from the day. Can’t say enough about the gracious staff— special shout out to Lori, Ana, and Susan for your friendly hospitality!
Our stay at 1906 was a wonderful anniversary time! Every amenity offered was enjoyed immensely, particularly the large whirlpool tub-so luxurious! The location was the best, the offering of bikes, chairs, and golf cart most appreciated. We will not be waiting for special occasion to come back! We live in Encinitas, so it is an easy ride!
Has a wonderful time and cannot wait to return! Service was fantastic. Spotless room. Great location! So many extras including beach chairs and umbrellas! Breakfast and happy hour was fabulous. Accessible parking made it stress free! Kudos to all the staff for making it a memorable first visit!
He a great stay here with old college friends. Felt like a Bed and Breakfast from decades ago- in the best way. Spacious room, lovely breakfast and happy hour, comfortable beds, and beach accessories to borrow. Much more reasonable price than other hotels. Loved it, definitely coming back.
The 1906 Lodge is in a lovely residential area 2 blocks from the Del. It’s an excellent location, walking distance to plenty of restaurants and the bus (free in the summer) that takes you to the ferry to SD (which btw is only a mile and a half easy walk). Your stay includes a delicious breakfast, cookies at check-in, happy hour, bikes & beach gear. And no resort fee! Rooms are comfortable and clean. All of the staff are very pleasant. We’ve stayed here at least 3 times and look forward to going back again 🙂
I would love to leave an amazing review because the staff was very lovely at 1906 Lodge. The rooms….left something to be desired. It feels like a mosh-mash of owner renovations left it feeling, well, miss-mashed. Linoleum floors, old and new furniture mixed, and antique portrait photographs hung on the walls. Not seamless or harmonious at all. It would all be innocuous at a reasonable rate ($300 a night would be a good value at the lodge). But more than that, and you start resenting the strange attempts at “cozy” and “historic” and start noticing the funny smells and the overly-lysoled attempt to sterilize but not succeeding with that super-clean feeling.
My wife and I stayed here while on vaction, it's a beautiful little hotel, professionally run, by very friendly staff, house keeping keep your room immaculate, stay here if you get a chance you'll be glad you did. Terry Eaton 10/10
A boutique filled with endless personal charm. Friendly and accommodating staff. 1906 Lodge felt like a home away from home. Walking distance from the beach, close to shops and restaurants, yet private enough to feel tucked away... A treasure in Coronado.
What a jewel to spend our 35th wedding anniversary at. We had an extremely peaceful, pleasant stay at this quaint little inn just a block over from all these amazing restaurants and the Hotel Del Coronado. We didn't have to drive anywhere. They were so accommodating and had all the little touches that big hotels miss. Everyone was so very nice. Can't wait to stay there again.
We absolutely loved our stay at the 1906 lodge. We can’t say enough about the staff - they go above and beyond to make your stay special and are what truly makes this hotel stand out. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Coronado, and we hope to be back!
