We stayed for a few days this week and loved our stay. Well maintained property, clean rooms, comfy beds and linens, nice pool w pool floats and toys. Great coffee in the room or office and the bistro was fantastic. Will come again. Great value for Coronado. Employees are freindly and welcoming. Thank you!! We will be back.

Hotel's Favorite
The manager,Marsha, went above and beyond her duty in handling our reservation! We initially booked a non pet friendly room (the last one available since they were sold out & we did have 2 small hypoallergenic dogs), Marsha worked her magic and was able to get us a pet friendly room. Had she not, we would’ve had to pay an extra fee for the non pet friendly room. I love staying here at the inn (with or without my pups) because it’s quaint, quiet, and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The bistro located at the hotel is awesome also!

This place is so charming! My husband and 2 daughters (4+2yo) visited and while we checked in, were given goodie bags filled with card games, little finger puppets, and crafts! My daughters were delighted! Parking is very safe, completely enclosed in the courtyard. Our room was perfectly clean. We had a fridge and microwave. The store, park, library and restaurants are never more than a 10m walk. We will definitely be staying again! For the value and how welcoming it is, this is the island's best kept boutique secret in lodging!

Cute inn, but the experience is dampened by the noisy and inefficient air conditioning window unit, dated and very basic furniture, and cramped room. Staff were pleasant, and bikes were fun for getting around town.

Thanks so much for your review. Glad you enjoyed the bikes and that our staff was up to expectations. Apologies for the noisy AC--wish we'd had a chance to try to make it better for you. Our furniture is brand new as of May 2022--we went for a darker wood that keeps with the old Spanish style of the Inn. More updates to come Fall 2022--we just ran out of time before summer.

We frequently visit this lovely island & usually stay either at the nearby big hotel or the other commercial motels. It was spur of the moment that we booked at the Crown city. And it was a pleasant surprise walking into the reception… reminding us of little boutique hotel in Europe with warm welcoming staff ! Keith was so pleasant & accommodating; the staff passing by are all smiles & polite . We even haven’t checked in nor seen the room yet, but we decided that we wanted to book for July to celebrate my birthday with the family! Going back to the experience… the room was straight forward fresh& clean with the necessities of microwave, coffee maker with real coffee, fridge plus the extra details of extra towels, pillows & shoe polish! I love the cute non claustrophobic bathroom with the well thought of shelves, hooks & hanging rods. The location is perfectly in the middle: walk to one side for the beach & downtown while the other side towards the Glorietta bay & boating. It is an enjoyable walk to The cute coffee shops & stores . We had fun walking the whole day. I can’t wait to return & enjoy my time with the whole family!

It is a very cute little hotel. Clean room, great location on Orange and worth the money. I checked in to the smell of oatmeal cookies and a very pleasant front desk person. The room was clean, good sized and easy to access. You can walk anywhere from this location. Walk to the ferry, down the street to Vons grocery store, shops and restaurants and a park across the street. Plenty of buses and stops if you wants to head to the beach. The only thing that could have made this a 5 star reviews was if the early morning cleaning crew could be less noisy. Wanted to sleep in and couldn’t.

We just left this place where we spent 3 nights and cannot fault it. Beds were very comfy, no noise, nice bistrot and Coronado is such a gorgeous town, we just fell in love with it. Very close to San Diego, zoo, sea world etc Couldn’t recommend more.

We just got back from three nights at Crown City. We had two rooms and they made sure we were right next to each other, which was so appreciated. What a cute little inn. In a perfect central location. Very clean! Would absolutely stay here again!!!

This is a relatively small Inn with limited on-site parking in the inner courtyard. It was well maintained, very clean and we even had maid service on our second day! There were rocking chairs on the second floor balcony and it was quiet at night. Linens were soft but smelled faintly of bleach. The bathroom was cute and had plenty of storage space with a built-in niche. The room was spacious but the bed was positioned such that there was hardly any room on the side near the wall and there was no room for a bedside table on that side. The air conditioner was very noisy. Location was great. We could walk to the beach and the Ferry Landing, use the bikes supplied free and were in close proximity to a lot of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

We just loved, loved, loved our stay at the lovely motel with an incredible staff. We walked everywhere and when we didn't walk, we borrowed the bikes on site and took them out. We were a family of 3 in a 2 double bed room on the second floor. Quiet, clean, and includes a fridge and small microwave. We got stuff for our breakfast at the walkable Vons, grabbed the complimentary coffee from the office and then had leftovers after walking to many lovely places to eat. No need to worry about parking either, because that's covered too. We will definitely be back when in SD to visit family. Pictures don't come close to how cute this place is.
