We've stayed here a few times and really enjoy it. Came in to see a play at Lambs Theater and have dinner. It's a 5 minute walk and nice selection of restaurants nearby. The Henry is very good. Following morning we walked around the island before breakfast. It's 3-5 miles on paved trail with views of the ocean, yacht club, golf course and downtown San Diego. Hard to find better. Hotel is small, intimate with a European feel. Rooms are comfortable with nice bedding, Keurig, and most of the essentials. They don't have on-site parking but it's never been a problem finding a spot. Sraff and service is excellent.
I absolutely loved this chic hotel. The location is stellar as well. The hotel inside is very clean minimalistic and very chic. They give you bicicles which was one of the highlights of my trip. They give you beach towels and locks so you can ride your bike around the little neighborhoods of the island, stop lock up your bike grab the beach towels and water and go to the beach. Very thoughtful continental breakfast is served in the lobby area in the mornings. Due to limited availability, unfortunately I had to move to another hotel. A large famous hotel. Nothing compared to my stay at hotel Marisol. I will be back!
The Marisol is a unique boutique hotel that must be experienced. Located in a century old historical building in the very heart of Coronado. The staff is always friendly. Every time we’ve stayed there they have greeted us, not like employees talking to customers, but as new friends saying hello ! The rooms are necessarily small but they are cozy and have personality. The patio is a great place for an evening libation and they have bicycles for a morning ride through eclectic neighborhoods.
Our first time in this fabulous boutique hotel in an excellent location, close to all amenities. The hotel has a lovely tranquil atmosphere and really helpful staff. Rooms are clean and really comfortable. We'll definitely be back!
We traveled to Coronado for one night to attend a family event on the island. We were very plesantly surprised by the Marisol. It is a short stroll to the beach and steps away from the restaurants and shops on Orange. Located on a quiet street less than a ten minute walk to the Del. We visited the Del Coronado which is a destination by itself and went up to see a room where a family member stayed. The Marisol was equally nice for half the cost. The simple breakfast offering was very welcome which we enjoyed on the patio. Parking was easy and free. No need to hassle with expensive and slow valet service. Overall, we were delighted and would absolutely return. The Marisol is also a historic landmark with charm. We were very pleased overall.
We've stayed at Hotel Marisol dozens of times, and we always look forward to returning. It's become our "go-to" on Coronado. We like the cleanliness, comfort, and small size of the hotel. Katie and her team are always on top of things and eager to make every stay special.
We were drawn to the ambiance from the pretty, historic building front, tucked off the main road, but close to everything in the village. Once inside for a quick peek, Liliana greeted us warmly and agreed to show us 2 rooms that were available. We loved the cozy feel and the cleanliness, so we went for it and booked our first night.. The next day we continued to be impressed with the overall care and consideration that is clearly made to create a special guest experience. Breakfast is included, plus a glass of champagne that you can decide when you want it. We ate outside in the little courtyard, which was super charming and the perfect place to relax. Bikes and beach chairs are also included. We opted for the bikes and rode around town for an afternoon. Super fun! The bedding and linens were very comfortable, we slept well and had a fabulous time! All the staff is really sweet and we will most definitely return to the Hotel Marisol Coronado again. We felt like we were walking to and from our private residence every day, which added to the charm of our stay..…
Stayed at Hotel Marisol for 3 nights. Perfect location Located 3 buildings from food and shopping and about 1-1/2 blocks to the beach. The hotel has a modern interior while preserving some of the early 1900s charm. The private patio to the side of the building is perfect for eating the continental breakfast or for relaxing after the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back!
My new husband and I came to the hotel Marisol for 3 nights and it was absolutely perfect! It is a quick walk from the beach and they offered beach cruisers and beach chairs, umbrellas and towels! The light complimentary breakfast each morning was perfect - and the afternoon cookies were a fun surprise! The hotel is walking distance from all the great restaurants and Hotel Del. A few of our favorites were The Henry, Moo Time, the deli, Serea at hotel del! We also rode our bikes to the bay side of the island and took the ferry over to San Diego. $14 round trip per person. We can’t get over how perfect our time was! Hotel Marisol was the sweetest, most charming hotel and we will definitely be back!! We rated it at a 4/5 just because there was a slight mix up with our check out but the manager was very apologetic and quick to compensate us and fix the situation. Overall we are extremely happy with our stay! As a side note - they only had cable tv, so if that matters to you, I recommend bringing a fire stick or roku!…
We love this hotel. We celebrated our anniversary. It is located close to a variety restaurants and boutiques, lits to explore. The staff is so friendly. Rooms are so clean and comfortable. Highly recommend Marisol Hotel. Worth every penny!
