This is about the 12th time we have stayed her and love the location. The hotel has spent a lot of money and time in refurbishing the rooms, outdoor space, pool area and restaurant and to be fair it looks spectacular. One thing I picked up today, by the pool, being a Saturday was how busy compared to other days it is with every sunbed being taken. Listening to numerous people they live in the area and just come in to use the pool at weekends and they are never questioned... Guests staying at the resort have to pay a large resort fee for the privilege of using the pool,. why is the pool area not policed to stop Guests having to loose enjoyment by allowing the pool to be used by anyone who decides to take a swim...this really is not acceptable for those of us who have had to pay this charge Jonathan....I welcome your feedback Thanks

I ended here on accident but serendipity was great. The location is on water with fantastic views. Staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were good sized, clean, and well maintained. Room noise was relatively minimal but did hear the occasional Navy or marine helicopter flying by. I would stay again.

Loved San Diego but for the hotel their were good and bad. The good points - Great location, just across the bay from San Diego and not far from the ferry to take you to the city side. Nice swimming pool and Friendly staff -Nicole, the host in particular was very helpful and lovely. The down side - although the room was modern, the carpet in the bedroom was filthy with stains. We stayed on the ground floor and you could hear everything from the room above - peoples voices, footsteps and literally everything they were up to at night! The other downside is the extra Resort fees and parking charges - extra costs which is the hotel profiteering ahead of customer service. This wasn't a cheap hotel and in other hotels we stayed at in California, the Wifi and Parking was complimentary (as you would expect in this day and age when everyone uses both) - things you would have expected for the price paid. Therefore overall a 'Good' stay

Thank you for taking the time to write and highlight not only what fell short, but the people that exceeded expectations. That said, we apologize that the guestroom was not up to cleanliness standards and while not typical, please trust that it will be properly addressed going forward. In addition, it is unfortunate that the guests around you were less than considerate as it is evident they kept you from enjoying a good night's sleep. As for the resort fee, it does provide access to a number of the resort amenities of which internet is one. Nonetheless, we hope you might consider returning in the future so we may have the opportunity to better earn your loyalty. If so, please don't hesitate to reach out directly. We would enjoy welcoming you back as well as ensure a flawless BONVoY experience.

The best thing about this hotel IS the location. So if that’s a priority than definitely consider it. It’s right by the bridge so getting to and off the island is quick and it’s on the bay so there are fantastic views of the San Diego skyline. The grounds are expansive and well manicured with plenty of chairs throughout for guests to enjoy the view. There’s a lovely pool area, outdoor dining, tennis courts, recreational equipment rentals and a path along the bay that takes you to the ferry station which also features restaurants and shops—- you can walk or bike there. The hotel was recently remodeled and now has a more contemporary, “beach rustic” look. There’s a starbucks on the lobby level across from the restaurant bar. The restaurant food and cocktails were just OK and pricey. Restaurant menu is limited as is the breakfast buffet. The hotel charges a $40 resort fee and $35 for self parking. We had a Bay View room with 2 beds but don’t expect Queen size beds like you get at other hotels. These are full beds- so you can comfortably fit one adult on each bed or 2 children or 2 slim petite adults. Aside from the disappointing beds, the room was nice: spacious, large screen tv, coffee maker and spacious bathroom. However, we had ants in our room that got to some food items we brought with us! When you’re paying $300 +/ night for a room, it should include better beds and no insects! So again, the best thing about this hotel is the location......

We sincerely apologize that aside from all that you enjoyed, we fell short on exceeding expectations. We strive for excellence and while we typically deliver on a better experience, we understand that the beds and ants made your stay disappointing. That said, we appreciate you making us aware of your concerns so we may have the opportunity to correct in the future. In the meantime and should you return to Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa, please reach out directly as we would gladly welcome you back and do our best to exceed expectations.

This hotel is located on a quieter part of Coronado Island. Staff were friendly and our rooms clean. You can easily walk to the Ferry Landing, where there are shops and restaurant options. We loved the view from our 3rd floor room and the amenities the hotel offered (although you do pay a resort fee in addition to your hotel room costs). The pool and lawn areas were nice and offered beautiful views. This hotel offered free beach chairs, but we were unable to take them to the beach as we did not have a car. We rented bikes and planned to bike around the island, but it should be noted that involves traveling on or across busier roads for an extended period of time. It would be wise with children to stay on the actual bike path near the hotel only. Our favorite perk was the free summer shuttle that started from outside the hotel and took you to Coronado Beach. We only ate breakfast here, as food options seemed limited (starbucks closed at 1:30 and the pool snack bar closed around 6). We had free breakfast with our room rate, and were shocked to find out it would have been $27/per person if we purchased on our own! That seemed too much.
