Who stops serving dinner at a 300 room hotel at 6:00? Who doesn’t tell you that when you check in? The Coronado Marriott. I completely understand Covid and that take out only. But NO excuse to pay $400 a night and can’t get basic service. 6:00 closing has nothing to do with Covid.
Location and view was great. Understanding the virus restrictions we were very sad to see the condition of the room and few amenities available. We only hope things will be better some time in the future but until then we suggest to others not go there and be disappointed. As you can see in the posted photo of the dirt and dust in the air vent. This caused and order. After contacting the desk they stated any other room wouldn't be available until the following day after 4:00pm. We saw no more than a couple of dozen guests during our three day stay. Just stay home and healthy.
QUICKIE REVIEW Quiet hotel away from the busyness of San Diego. PARKING Yes, parking on site is available for a fee. However, I was able to find street parking right in front of the hotel. SERVICE Did not use any services. ROOM I was upgraded to the executive suite; have to say, it was nice and spacious. Best part of the room was the oceanview and being able to have brunch enjoying the view. PRICE Regular room goes for about $250. Tad bit on the pricy side. OTHER THOUGHTS Unless you are dying to see what it’s like to stay on Coronado Island I would recommend trying another location with a bit more access to everything.
Wow.....didn't realize a Spectacular Resort existed so close to San Diego. Excellent Service&Professional Staff Awesome views of Downtown Do Not miss this Gem I have travel All over the World (25 years in the Navy) Management (Hanna) made our stand Over-the-Top
Our first visit to Coronado Island and we loved it. The Marriott helped make the weekend perfect. The staff was very friendly, the rooms clean and large, including the bathroom - plenty of room. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool area and the waterway along with downtown San Diego = perfect view of so many things! The pool was open all day with plenty of places to sit. If you would like, you can rent lounges with an umbrella for about $25 for every 3 hours. The hot tub is closed right now due to Covid. Masks are required throughout the property. We also ate at their restaurant which is near the pool and really enjoyed the food. We had both breakfast and dinner there. There is a great walking trail near the water that you can either walk or bike on and several places within walking distance for shopping or eating. Really enjoyed the hotel and our visit and can not wait to go back again! Enjoy!…
