Our stay at COLEVILLE / WALKER KOA was wonderful. We have stayed at other KOA campgrounds throughout the country and this one exceeded our expectations on many levels. The entrance signs are very visible along with all the other signs for parking at check-in and throughout the park. Walking into the office I was greeted by a friendly smile and all the details for checking in to our RV site. They made it easy to navigate to our site and made sure we were good with setting up. Walking throughout the park we were thoroughly impressed with the level of detail taken from the superior clean conditions, plenty of signs, meticulously maintained gravel for your RV, level sites, just the right number of lights at night and the list goes on and on. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. The owners take pride of all aspects to ensuring the park is at peak performance. We stayed 6 nights and just in that short amount of time they made several improvements for the safety of the guests thus making an even more enjoyable stay. The K9 park is ideal for letting your pup run around and burn some energy off. The cliffs are beautifully lit up at night. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. There were ample communications prior to check in and during our stay. We are looking forward to staying here again!!

We stayed in the lodge for a family gathering. We were in the 100 building which was poolside. The rooms are huge and were very clean! Loved the high ceilings! I could look at that beautiful cliff all day. The RV Park is well laid out with large sites. This Park was very easy to get to from Reno. Yosemite is also a nice day trip from this KOA. We were also able to use the pavilion to enjoy meals for the 12 of us each night of our stay. The store has about everything you need to help make your trip enjoyable. The owners were outstanding! They went above and beyond to make our first trip there one of a kind! We will be back! Thanks Scott and Tim! They’ve got a great staff helping in any way needed!

This park is amazing. It's impeccably clean and well managed. The pool is a great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. The KOA store has a ton of options for a last minute snack :) We brought our grandkids this past weekend and they loved every minute of it! Thank you Tim & Scott for making a wonderful place to visit!

Beware their check-in cut-off time is 8PM, if you reach beyond that they would not check you in, would not leave your keys in a box and most importantly would not refund you. I booked a room last minute a day before at this location as I was travelling from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe and wanted to stay for a night on the way, upon booking the property I got a text and email from the property the next morning notifying me about the last check in by 8 PM policy. This was a shock since I have never experienced such a policy in any hotel/Airbnb before. Granted they might have stated this policy in their booking policy itself, but at least to me this was not obvious, and I learned about this only on the day of travel. As I had some other commitments during the day, I reached out to the property about cancelling the booking since it was looking very difficult for me to reach here in time. The manager on the phone declined to leave out the key or cancel the reservation. Since I was left with no other choice, I decided to cancel some meeting and try and making it there by 8, however we met with an accident on the way and our car had to be towed. So, I was left with no choice but let this reservation go and lose my money. I also tried to call them again and explain the situation and they declined to refund even partially given the circumstances.

HI, Akshay. You forgot to mention that we didn't learn of your MVA until two weeks after you didn't show up. Where we do sympathize with unforeseen events that happen, your specific set of circumstances, albeit compounded by your vehicle issues, were not within our ability to control. We take guest and property security very seriously, and we cannot lose control over people coming and going by leaving keys accessable to just anyone who passes by. That is a recipe for untold issues for which we are not willing to submit. Guests make reservations to the exclusion of any other guest; and as such, we've established a reasonable length of time for a guest to change their mind or if something else comes up preventing them from keeping the reservation. Outside of this reasonable time, we won't have enough time to resell the room to another guest who may have been denied whilst an existing reservation is held. We hold no animus toward you for your comments, as they emphasize our commitment to guest comfort and safety. And we welcome you to stay with us again in the future if you are traveling our way again

We reserved this place for 5 nights. This place started off alright but my room smelled like smoke. We told the management and they blew it off as the first use of the heater. We were concerned because they say they charge a 350 dollar cleaning fee for smoke damage. After that morning, we got a call while away at 1 PM. We had to leave because my brother passed away from a massive heart attack. When I walked in to tell them, the first thing the lovely lady said was, we do not give refunds. She didn't even acknowledge the horrible moment we just had gone through.
We flew out for the funeral and I went ahead and disputed the charge but clearly they don't care and took our money anyway. They are heartless people.

Greetings, Bruce. We do regret family tragedies and would never wish them on anyone; not the least of which were yours. We hope your family members have fully recovered from this loss and are now living their best life. We were surprised to see your negative thoughts from a reservation from October of last year. October is one of the busiest, if not 'the' busiest month for our area. When you checked in, you signed that you read and agreed to our refund policy. We understand you felt the need to rally around family in their time of crisis; if fact, we'd have done the same if in your shoes. However, you did stay for part of your reservation. Because you left and called after the fact, we had no idea of your plans. We could not legally or ethically rent your room to someone else, as it was your space to use until your checkout date. As a small business owner, we are dedicated to excellent customer service and regret we won't be able to earn your repeat business, but do wish you and your family only the best, now and in the future.

A motel that charges three bucks for ice, has toilets made for children, an air conditioner that sound like a jet engine, soap the size of a 50 cent piece and looks like it was constructed by a grade school carpentry class. What a freaking joke. No place to eat within 20 miles and they close their mini snack shack at 5. On top of all that the managers are just rude. On the plus side it's quiet!

Greetings, Traveler. You experience is not what we're used to hearing, and for that we apologize you found nothing to your liking except peace and quiet. As a footnote, all our amenities meet or exceed state and county building codes and are ADA friendly for those with mobility issues. Just under 3-miles South of us are two fine eating establishments, Walker Burger and Mountain View BBQ. We're sorry you didn't find them to your liking. All in all, we are saddened to learn we won't be adding your name to our ever-growing list of raving fans, but wish you nothing but the best in all your travels, both for business and pleasure. Peace be yours.

Would love to give this place a better review. The facilities are nice and well maintained. Most of the staff I spoke with was really helpful and they even loaned me equipment. However on our second night a fire broke out ~2 miles away. Many people left right then. I got up and checked on the fire every hour or so. By morning it had grown from 50 acres to 2000 acres. Everyone was leaving and they are not working with us on any refund. Smoke filled the place and ash raining down everywhere, didn't really feel like I had an option to leave or not. They didn’t want to work with us on a credit or a refund or anything. Sure enough, they were evacuated on the last day of my scheduled stay.

Hi Austin, Thanks for reaching out to us, we're always interested in knowing how we did. A fire (Slank Fire) did break out at 6:30 pm on Saturday 8-29 due to lighting strike. Fire is located 3 ridges away at 12,000 feet approximately 12 miles away. The Fire was moving south towards Coleville away from us. The Little Antelope Pack Station on Mill Creek Road was asked to evaluate for precautionary measures. No other evacuations or closures were ordered. We are in constant contact with fire officials. You left on Sunday at 1:00 pm, checking out a day and a half early. as did three other guests who decided the fire was aggravating their asthma. We understand your frustration, but we weren't ordered to evacuate, and the fire was actually moving away from us. We do hope you'll be back to join us again some other time, we wish you safe travels and all the best.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The upkeep and care put into this park is amazing. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. We were guided to our site, which was a pull through with plenty of room for our 40ft fifth wheel and truck. No question we would stay here again if we return to Coleville. If we returned we would get one of the sites that includes a fire pit, patio, and BBQ. The area is quite remote and we spent a lot of time at the site in the evening and we would have loved to relax by a fire. Next time…. And by the way, they do tell you not to climb the cliffs and there are many signs posted. Thanks for a great stay.

The Coleville KOA was a great home base for our trip! We have been coming here for close to 10 years. We used to stay in the lodge but last year and this we stayed in the RV park. The new owners have made some great improvements! This review is about the RV sites. Sites are gravel and our premium site was level. Our site has a patio, table with 4 chairs, fire pit also with 4 chairs and firewood provided each day! Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Pool was so refreshing and heated so it wasn’t freezing! The view of the cliffs is a beautiful bonus. Store had everything you might need. We will be back next year for sure!

This KOA is among the nicest we have stayed at. Well run, wonderful owners and very beautiful and thought out amenities for their guests. The pool area is beautiful. We actually stayed at their Meadowcliff Lodge motel, room #210 with a small patio and view of the valley. Gorgeous room, very comfortable beds. We loved this place 👍
