My s/o planned a birthday getaway surprise. We stayed in OTP (the cabin on the pond #1). It was charming, a little slice of heaven in this crazy COVID, fire-filled world of 2020. The cabin is perfectly appointed, spotless and the environment is blissfully peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful, with a very nice breakfast served in the lodge (or you can pick up and take to your cabin). We had dinner delivered one evening (check ahead, dinner is not currently available 7 days a week) and it was excellent, especially given COVID restrictions. Lots of challenging golf nearby (1 minute to Whitehawk). We cannot wait to return.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the service was very limited. Pool and tennis courts closed. Golf open. The Lodge was only open for outside breakfast, and dinner was take out only. No housekeeping services. Our cabin had a nice king size bed, but the "living" area was small with poorly placed overstuffed / oversized couch and TV stand with drawers. The only inside table was a narrow desk, but rendered pretty much useless due to the large microwave oven. Small refrigerator with coffee pot on the top. No where to eat inside, but there were chairs and side tables on the porch overlooking the grounds. The owners are new, about 2 years, having taken over from the original owners who apparently have had the property since the '70's. I was expecting a mountain type decor, but the previous owners were 1776 American Revolution buffs, and the entire cabin was OTT to the point of being oppressive, especially the 1976 large hand oil painting by the bed depicting a line of soldiers with muskets firing, and a dead soldier on the ground.....not real cheerful to wake up to in the morning. I hope the other cabins were nicer!

We just spent 4 nights in one of this Lodge's luxury cabins and we really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, accomodating and helpful. The rooms are all in little cabins that are spread out far enough that you have a good amount of privacy and quiet. The rooms are well-appointed, with big comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, AC, and big covered porches with comfy seating. Because of Covid 19 their restaurant was not open for dine-in dinner service but they had a few options for dinner that could be delivered to your cabin (and eaten at the cute little tables they provide at each cabin). They had some "grab and go" food options available throughout the day and you could order drinks from their bar. Breakfast was included (three seatings available) and could be eaten at the lodge (inside on their porch at socially distanced tables) or delivered to your room. It was a tasty breakfast, good options, and good size portions (not huge, just right). The grounds are beautiful and views of the big meadows and trees are really beautiful. They have a pool and workout room, but they were closed due to covid. The place is dog friendly and we did bring our pooch with us. Lots of places to walk her, big lawn to throw balls for her (they provide a big bucket of tennis balls) and even a pond she can swim in. The only downside of having the dog with us is that they "dog-proof" the room which means they covered most of the furniture in sheets which made the room feel less cozy/welcoming. The location is great for exploring this beautiful area of the Sierras. You do not have a full kitchen in these cabins, but they do provide a small fridge and microwave. If we were going to stay longer we think we would want to be in a place with a kitchen so we could make some meals. That said, we will definitely recommend this Lodge to friends who are interested in exploring the area and want to stay in a higher-end cabin. And we may return again ourselves with my Mom who would not be into the more rustic cabin experiences in the area.

We have visited the Graeagle area for the past ten years and this was our first year at the Lodge. We are already booked for next year and looking forward to more golf and hiking. The accommodations are outstanding and all of the people are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included. We brought cheese and crackers, fruit, and wine with us for an appetizer snack and the cabin had a snack plate, knife, glasses, and corkscrew available. We ate all of our meals, except for two, in the lodge and the food was delicious. This was a week of pure heavenly delight--we felt so spoiled. We didn't bring our two doggies but other people had their dogs with them. If you like staying in cabins that are clean with great beds and you enjoy beautiful scenery, this is the place for you. Activities include biking, hiking, golfing, and swimming. What more can one ask for? By the way, the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday nights but there are so many great restaurants nearby.

We go every year, usually 8 to 10 couples. For the last several years, we’ve stayed at The Whitehawk Lodge. The individual cabins are large, comfortable and nicely appointed. So great to sit on the porch with a cocktail and gaze at the beautiful meadow. The staff are so accommodating. Each year we set up a group dinner and they happily work with us on the menu, seating, special requests, etc. They’re so flexible and willing to please. Also, Whitehawk Ranch Golf Course is right there! Absolutely one of my favorites! I give The Lodge 5 stars!
