It is so nice to revisit a property to see how it has changed and improved. Set in the rice paddies the air conditioned rooms here are really good. Comfortable beds well appointed bathrooms. Wi Fi in the rooms. The food here is great. Just off the main road from Polonarua to Habarana with all they have to offer.A good...

Nicely located in the countryside close to Polonnawura. Rooms are simply but nicely appointed and the view from the room front terrace over the rice fields is lovely. Attentive and friendly service. Breakfast was very generous and fulfilling. We also had dinner there and probably ate the best rice and curry of all our stay in Sri Lanka, all fresh...

Having spent five weeks in Kandy, living in a volunteer house with 40 others, I was desperate for some space and peace & quiet. Rice Villa suited me down to the ground; it was situated just off Polonnaruwa Rd down a quiet rural track - peaceful but within easy travelling distance of Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Minneriya & Kaudulla National Parks....

We arrived at night to a magically lighted palm trees that reminded me of a Hawaiian resort. Dinner was in a little outdoor wooden "room" where you could see the moon next to palm trees. Our room was right on the garden and all we could hear was the sound of peacocks and crickets. Magical getting up at sunrise. Staff...

We booked this place having read positive reviews; the room itself was fine, given the price point, (but note that not all villas have a view of rice paddies, ours faced banana palms and mud). The real problem was with the attitude of the staff; They seemed to doubt our booking on arrival (until i could provide proof of our...

Very nice and modern bungalows in a nice natural settings. The manager and the staffs really helps us organizing our activities which was really an added value. The rice and curry was also one of the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. It's about 15 min from the Polonaruwa old city.

This was the best place we stayed in during our trip through Sri Lanka. What a view from your private terrace and from the restaurant! Lovely quiet place to spend some time. Super friendly personnel, very good restaurant, good safari to kaudulla NP. Rooms are spacious and clean.

After some busy days in Colombo and Kandy we stayed here for three days and had a very good time. Clean and well equipped rooms, very friendly staff and delicious food at reasonable prices. We can definitely recommend this place!

The rooms are nice, we were able to choose the rooms. Problem with the shower, but quickly fixed. Food was very good and nice staff. We were there at the dry season, so the rice fields weren't that pretty. But still the view was beautiful.

What a fabulous place to stay with a gorgeous view of the rice paddies and the perfect location from which to explore the ruins of Polonnaruwa. The food was incredible, the room very comfortable and the staff warm and friendly. A must stay for couples exploring Sri Lanka.
