I am very upset writing this review as we got married in this place in 2015 and now we went back for another family wedding there. We have booked a room for family of 4. We had no bathrobes in the room provided, our room Tv wasn't working, which we reported to the staff twice as soon as we checked in. We have been promised bathrobes at 8am next morning as the latest. Nothing was provided. Instead, the next day when we were checking out we have been charged more 200zl as we checked out 2h after we should have. I need to mention that we moved already from the room but my husband had a key in his pocket, did't hand it to the reception. Staff had our mobile number and we have been told that because it was an English number they did not ring us to remind about the key. The night before the wedding my husband ordered drinks at the bar. He was charged nearly double as staff didn't speak much English and she though that my husband would never find out. What a surprise was when I went back to the bar, speaking polish, asking for the receipt ( which wasn't provided) and for the explanation of the over charging foreign guests? Reply was "ohhh you are Polish, you should have said so"!!!! That is absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend this place if you don't speak polish and even if you need to be very careful and make sure you get what you pay for.…
The whole complex is lovely. We stayed in an out building, not in the palace itself, but we had a lovely stay. The room was actually a suite-two rooms. The double bed was a bit small, but other than that we had no complaints. The grounds and the palace itself are beautiful. There is a large carpark that is free. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Would love to stay here again.
The building i beautiful as is the park surrounding it. The rooms however are dated. We booke a double bed and received a big room with a small and hard bed. Only one bed table and Reading lanp. One of us had to sleep facing the wall. The bathroom also looks very old and 2 star. Spa area: the dry sauna is good. The remaining parts a bit smell. I didnt like this Hotel.
We had the standard room that was quite old looking, for sure not like at the pictures. The carpet was quite old too and there were two places with spiderwebs. The bed sheets were clean but there was a little hole at one place. Overally we slept ok, even if there were two weddings we did not hear anything since the hotel complex is quite big. The staff is professional but not super friendly or smiling often. The food for breakfast was good for 4* hotel and we ordered a fish with grilled vegies for lunch that was just amazing. The park around is great too and area is very quite. Unfortunatelly, there is no service in SPA area, you have just self-service towels. On first sight it looks great but then when you look closer you can see it has not been renovated for some time and honestly if there is no service how do we know how often the water is cleaned. I read few negative reviews about the cleanliness of the swimming-pool, but I was positive until the last moment. I used wellness area for two days: jacuzzi, saunas, pool and as a result i got vaginal yeast infection. I am visiting spa-hotels approximately once per month and this was first time when it happened, so I really do believe that it is not clean as it is supposed to be. Honestly, I should not complain since the price for one night per 2 persons was around 72 euros but still, not really pleasant experience.…
This place is truly romantic. Hotel is very carefully renovated and built (the new part). Rooms are pretty large and well equipped (including electric kettle plus tea and coffee). Modern bathrooms with bathtubs (no shower cabin). The only complaint regarding the room is about the safe: as you can see it on my picture it's small and not fixed at all; code - we couldn't open it so a maid entered six times 0 and it worked as emergency move. The point is it worked also later on when I set my own figures... We complained, reception seemed to know about it but they had no solution for it. So if you have anything precious you'd better keep it somewhere else. But the rest is great. They have a pool (alas outdoors) plus some saunas (several types) so you can relax completely. Breakfasts are fantastic, huge choice and every day there was something new (it's quite important if you stay for more than just one day). And finally the park around: it's a great place for walking. We were during piano master classes and for the whole week we could listen to plenty of classical music and attend two concerts (one outside in their amphitheater and one inside). BTW: they also have a chapel and quite regularly organize wedding ceremonies. What really surprised me: being in our room we didn't hear any noise at all! Restaurant: a bit expensive if compared to what you get finally. So if you have your own transport it's better to go to Torun and try something there (it's just 15 km away which makes their location quite nice). If I were a hotel manager I would immediately think about the shuttle bus option - Torun is one of the most impressive places in Poland for sightseeing! Last but not least: we enjoyed locally prepared preserves (fruits and meat) - approx. 10-12 PLN/jar. So all in all it's highly recommended place for people who want to enjoy beautiful nature, elegant interiors, tasty food and friendly service. Definitely one of the places where you want to go back!…
We had a nice travel, and especially liked the beautiful sorroundings, both inside and outside. The rooms are fine and big, and the cleaning are ok. The breakfast is ok, but they did not at all care for people with allergies, ex. Gluten intolerance. The food in the restaurant is ordinary but good prepared. A minus is the service, since many from the staff dont understand English, so Communication is a little difficult, if you are not from Poland. Some of the staff are not at all smiling and are not serviceminded, especially some of the young ones. The more mature staff has more ecperience, and gives generally better service.
We were participating in the wedding at Palac Romantyczny and I think it was the perfect place to organize romantic wedding. It was just excellent. Rooms are super comfortable (we had economy version - small but still pretty ok). Service is excellent. Location is super convenient, close to highway exit. Food that was served was amazing. All in all we didn't want to go home :-)
The hotel has benefitted from substantial investment into rooms and facilities, including a pool. However, service is not living up to expectations. At check-in, no help with luggage and only rough directions where to find the room. A lovely and spacious room, but no amenities in the bathroom but the very basic. No tissues, no cotton buds, the minimum number of towels and plastic cups. This won’t help to get another star, despite impeccable cleanliness! Service in the restaurant was efficient, but without a smile; no concierge and the lady at reception couldn’t answer some basic questions in English.
Perfect place for a short term visit. Great menu, especially regional cuisine. Dishes are delicious and well spiced. The restaurant is open till 9 p.m, so better hurry, as the room service may offer only cheese plate in hilarious prices. Rooms are cozy and clean. The staff is really helpfull.
This year our family decided to do something different for Christmas. We started looking late and really the Pałac was our last chance. The reviews on tripadvisor were very good, so we made a reservation for 11 people (2 children included). The stay was excellent from the very beginning to the end. The hotel made sure the whole family stays close and there was no one else on our floor. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. Christmas Eve had live piano accompanying the dinner. The staff made sure all the needs were met and everyone was very curteous, yet discrete. I haven't been to the SPA but almost everyone else went and they loved the hottub. I went to the children's playroom with my niece and was pleasantly surprised how spacious and well equipped it was including very comfortable chairs for the guardians. All in all a wonderful Christmas and I am already thinking about booking for next year.…
