This is a very nice RV park. It has beautiful grounds and is adjacent to a marina and a park. You have views of Coronado and access to a 24 mile bike path. The restrooms are fine, the spaces are private and wide, and there is a store on site and a restaurant and lounge a short walk away. It is expensive and there is no WiFi. You will have to use your hotspot. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. The $140 price a night should include WiFi. This park closes for good in October and is being replaced by a new one just down the road. We toured that one and it is super nice, but it lacks the vibe of the current one. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you can stomach the price.

My wife and I returned yesterday from what is now our favorite RV Resort. Spacious and beautiful rv site, full 50 amp hookups and close to a family park and San Diego Bay. Spaces are separated by hedges and are level. Bathrooms and showers are immaculate.

The park is mostly back-in sites. They are not deep so it is tight fitting a 36' or longer coach and a tow car in the site. The landscaping is beautiful, the whole park is clean, and they pick-up trash regularly. All utilities work well. We paid $102 per night which makes this an expensive park. We heard from others while there that they are moving to a new site shortly and the rates will be 25% higher. There was no internet at our site -- we were shocked. They claim to have cable which we could never get to work. We air searched channels and found around 90 with most of those spanish and few of the typical channels. Anyway, for $102 both of those services should be flawless. We found it odd that they want you to wear a wristband when out walking. We had a visitor and the park took an extra $10 fee to allow that and they had to park out on the street. Seems like penny pinching, and irritating. The park is on the bay and there are some public parks/walking areas nearby, and the setting is nice near marinas. Site is dead level. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, your feedback is important to us! We are currently managing the property for the Port of San Diego during the transition period for the Bay Wide Development. We reopened the RV park in mid-March and the current park conditions have not made site-wide Wi-Fi a feasible amenity. We apologize, as this is not standard for Sun Resorts. Seeing that this is an important amenity to our guests, we have installed access around our main building complex for guest use. At our new site, Wi-Fi will not be an issue. I would encourage you to take a look at both off-season and in-season prices for Costa Vista! You will find that prices vary depending on the time of year and the type of site that you might be interested in. Our customer service team is always a phone call away to make you can take advantage of a more economical option. We also routinely offer special promotions and discounts - keep an eye on costavista.com!

Always enjoy our stay here...even during Covid. Appreciated the effort the park made for Thanksgiving, Drive-by Happy Hour etc. However hear the new location will be 25% more expensive. That will put us out of the running. Sad to see the site at the Marina go. It was a good run.

My $600 mountain bike was stolen in broad daylight right from our site when I was in the RV! Felt totally violated and of course the office staff could care less to help us. Also what really gets me is there are video cameras and signs everywhere saying the property is under surveillance - you would think GREAT lets catch them.... you are wrong as I was told they do not record! Well what a great help that is... NOT. AGAIN 10AM while in the RV bike stolen and no one cared. Will never go back! I have never felt so unsafe at a camp site before.

Dear Nicole; Please accept our sincere apologies for your disappointment during your recent stay at our property. We have been working closely with the Chula Vista Police Department to prevent thefts. In addition, our rangers and overnight security team have been increased. While we do our best to be extremely vigilant on our end, we do rely on our guests to report suspicious activity to help us secure the property. We have also added U-Locks and Bike alarms to our store offerings; which are sold at cost to help guests protect their property. Our new park location has been built with all the latest safety and security options available. Thank you again for bringing your disappointment to my attention, and I sincerely appreciate your patience with us as we work to resolve this issue. I'm confident your next experience with us will be up to the high standard that you've come to expect from Sun RV Resorts.
