Can't say enough good things about David and Katie. They were so friendly and helpful. Great suggestions on restaurants. Ok enough about them, this place is clean, comfortable, and definitely try the banana bread at breakfast. We met friendly people and had pleasant chats in the morning. Would definitely recommend!!!

My husband and I stayed here last weekend (Jan 21) for our wedding night, and although it was a great stay - my laptop was STOLEN from our room (The Hotel Del Coronado Room) during our stay. I had stored my vows on the laptop and then stashed it underneath the end table to keep it safe, and then when...

My wife and I started at El Primero on our wedding night and it was beyond our expectations. Both being natives of Chula Vista, we were shocked when we entered this gem. Staff and rooms are great! Recommend!

This small boutique style bed and breakfast hotel was wonderful!!! The family who own and personally work the business are a delight to get to know and were extremely helpful as a newcomer to this beautiful city. They are passionate about what they do and make you feel like you are right at home. Excellent customer service. Big thank you...

Because of an accident in one area of our trip, which caused a 2 hour delay, we got to El Primero Boutique Bed & Breakfast Hotel close to midnight. We called when we were about an hour away to make sure they knew we were coming. They were waiting for us when we got there, and quickly checked us into...

Hotel is clean and very nice, staff is exceptional about your needs and accommodations. Breakfast was great and had a good variety. Only thing we noticed, was the shower tub needs new anti slip strips.

I've really enjoyed staying in El Primero, several times over the years. The rooms are small but comfortable. I've noticed that there are two rooms you want to avoid. There is a room facing the street, which is large and gorgeous. Unfortunately the front room is very noisy because of street traffic. Another room that isn't very good is the...

This hotel is sooooooo nice. Fully renovated, old style, beautiful tiles and archways, wood and old world glory. The owners-inn keepers are always on site. They purchased this pla de twelve years ago, as a wreck, and managed the renovation themselves. Cool, sweet a step back in time. And breakfast was delicious.

We have never stayed in a B&B prior to our visit here, and we stayed for five days. This was a fabulous visit! I was first impressed by the Art Deco architecture and the neon accents. The parking is onsite, and the entrance to the hotel is secure. Entrance is by buzzer, and the staff personally opens the door for...

The very definition of a boutique hotel. Not fancy but clean, comfortable, and intimate. Has character and the staff are proactive in taking care of you. Lots of local eateries and night spots in easy walking distance. Beats the franchise experience hands down; has that small business feel so often missing these days.
