We have stayed at the Antler Motel twice now over the last couple of years and each time we have been pleasantly surprised by the friendly office staff, the cleanliness of the room. There are more than plenty of pillows on the bed, extra towels, a frig, microwave and 12 cup coffee pot! It's a great little place.

Nice little spot to stay. The rooms were extremely nice for the price, management was very accommodating to my specific needs. I don't travel to Chester often, however when I do I now go to Antlers because the new owners and management team has really stepped it up. Thank you for making me feel at home!

The pride and personal attention of the owners of this hotel really shows! So many little touches. Silverware wrapped in a cloth napkin. Black washcloths for sooty PCT hikers and timber workers. Great PCT hiker box. The whole town is a gem. Great sushi at local diner. Wonderful breakfast at coffee shop/bookstore. Everything in walking distance.

We did a trip visiting the California National Parks and the Antler's Motel was in the perfect location before touring Lassen Volcanic National Park. Dan was super personable and accommodated our room request. The beds were very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. You couldn't ask for a more convenient location to grocery store, restaurants and gasoline.
We would definitely stay here again if we ever visit this area.

This lodge isn't new, but the rooms are like new. We stayed at another hotel in Chico the night before and this was more generous and comfortable. Everywhere in the room we encountered little boutique touches that made me smile.
Spare towels were tucked into a large crockery pot in the corner of the separate bathroom. The shower curtain liner was printed with deer. The coffee pot was a 12 cup Mr. Coffee like I use at home instead of the miniature wannabes. With real mugs provided. Chocolates and wrapped cookies, strategically placed with cloth napkins and dinnerware. Fridge, microwave, and a huge screen TV. Lots of pillows and finally, finally, more outlets and USB ports than we needed. I am impressed.

We stayed here couple of times while being on a hiking trip. Antlers seemed to be popular and was almost always full booked. I’m not surprised, the place was just nice! Big rooms and nice decoration. The bed was good (in our room we had two large beds) and bathroom was spacious and clean. The price was not cheap but it was on the same level than also other accommodations here and cities/towns near to Chester. The walls were thin, however, and I could hear tv and talking from other rooms. However, during the nightime it was always peaceful. We wish there was microwave in the room. Apparently there was one in the common room next to the office. As a whole, Antlers Motel was a nice place and we would definitely stay the night here again.

This was my 2nd stay at Antlers Motel over the years and I was not disappointed. While in town on guided fishing outings to Eagle Lake and Lake Almanor, my stay was 4 nights. The room was very clean and tidy with plenty of towels made available in the bathroom. The refrigerator and microwave oven were both in very good working order (used both). I very much appreciated the in-room coffee maker as I had very early start times for fishing. While often a short-coming in motels, wi-fi internet access was very good and reliable. When I return in the Spring 2023, I'll book a return stay at the Antlers Motel.

My wife and I stayed at this Mom and Pop hotel in October 2023 for two nights planning to use it as a base to explore Lassen National Park which was about a 40 minute drive away. It is a two story hotel and we stayed in 209 near the back of the hotel. The room was large and clean with a king size bed. A double sink was outside the large bathroom. A welcome card and on a tray with candy greeted us which was a nice touch. Unlike some large chain hotels, rooms were cleaned each day unless you elected not. There was no vacancy at the hotel each day we were there. Because the hotel did not have an elevator, it was more difficult to carry our luggage to the second floor. As a plus, there were nearby restaurants, a grocery store across the street, and even a walking trail nearby to explore. I would stay there again.

Everyone was eager to give information and make our stay comfortable. The spacious room and bathroom were fresh and nicely decorated. It was so nice to find a 10-cup coffee pot with ground coffee, ceramic cups and water glasses; even a tea towel. There is also an updated outside seating area, a big shiny community gas grill and place for pets. There was something for everyone. Antler's Inn is a gem.A gem

I enjoyed the special effort in decorating the room with the comfortable blankets, pillows and dog blanket/treats. However, the room was very expensive for what we received. The parking lot in front of our room had cigarette butts laying everywhere. The walls and ceiling are very thin so it was hard to sleep when the guests in the other rooms were talking or moving around. I was disappointed in our stay.

Hello Dahlint, Thanks so much for your feedback. We appreciate acknowledging all the extra effort our staff takes to make your stay comfortable and nice. So sorry about the cigarette butts outside, we clean outside daily but some smokers seem to be careless. We will also look into adding a few more convenient receptacles for cigarette butts outside. Our walls (8") and ceilings (12") are the lodging standard with 3/4" sheet rock and well insulated for sound so we apologize that someone was simply being too loud near you. In terms of price, our prices start at $135 a night and are very competitive for the area. Not sure what your price expectation would normally be at a motel such as ours. Again, thanks for your stay, sorry you were disappointed. We will continue to do what we can to make all our guests comfortable and happy in the hopes of creating a 5-star experience for all.
