This is my second time staying here, the first time was five years ago. I love it just as much now as I did back then. The hotel seems very small from the street, but has everything you need to have a nice day at the beach. Every room is different, so make sure you look at the website to see what room will work best for you. Rooms range from small, to family suites with kitchenettes, but all are decorated individually, are very cute, and are very clean. They have all the basic amenities that you need, but don’t expect breakfast, or refrigerators/microwaves in all of the rooms. I am OK with this, because the property is very cute, clean, they have a great outdoor patio area and garden, and the prices are very budget friendly. I can always find a room at this great hotel in a bind, I know we will have a comfortable stay.

Clean & Quiet, Great location. I was lucky 🍀 only 8 rooms , someone canceled last minute. Great bed , lots of pillows. Beautiful at night. I would definitely return! We were right next to the beach, we saw the fireworks 💥. Never had to move the car , the whole time.

The motel was recomended by my parents, actually they sent us there. It was so cute! We had the perfect room to share with our two young daughters. There was a small room off the main bedroom with a twin bed that they shared. The room we stayed in was brightly decorated in a sunflower scheme. The location was very convenient. The rooms were clean. The owners are very friendly. We are looking forward to our next stay at the SeaSide.

I have never stayed at this hotel, and I really do not have the desire to ever after my incident with Rebecca, who stated that she is the owner of this hotel. I had to cancel my reservation due to unforeseen circumstances and contacted her to let her know. She stated that she would have to charge me for the room because there is a 72 hour cancellation policy (this is neither stated on the website nor was I informed of this when I booked the room). I informed her that I was not informed of this and she began to argue with me stating that her husband told me there was a cancellation policy and was insistent that he did when I informed her that he did not. I explained that he did not and she just argued with me until she finally said, "You know what, forget it!" and hung up on me. I called her back and told her that I did not appreciate her rudeness and nonprofessional manner and that I had been really looking forward to staying there but I could not help the unforeseen circumstances.
After my experience with the "raving reviews", I am very skeptical of the reviews that are posted, unless I just happened to catch Rebecca on her worst day.

My granddaughter and I spent two nights at the Seaside Motel. We enjoyed the location, the beach was so close, as well as the shops and restaurants. Our room, with a kitchen, was lovely and so clean. It will be our favorite place in Cayucos.

The Seaside Motel is our favorite inn in the world. It starts out with the quaintest rooms you've ever seen. Every room has a different motif. We stayed this time in the Country Charm Suite, which is one of the kitchenette rooms, with a stove, microwave and fridge. It is decked out to look like a country cottage. About half of the rooms have kitchens. All are gorgeous. Next is the town of Cayucos itself, which is laid back and funky, but also has a good choice of restaurants and shopping. It is within easy driving distance of the city of San Luis Obispo and the town of Cambria. Both offer great opportunities for eating, shopping and sight-seeing. Next, it is a five minute walk to the public beach and the motel has a wonderful patio with and ocean view. Finally, the owners (Rick & Rebecca Roquet) are the greatest people in the world and are dedicated to their guests' experience. They also have cable tv in the living room and the bedroom and free wireless internet access for their guests. See their website for more details. They won't let me put the url in here, but it's easy to find from google. My only problem with writing this review is that I really don't want the secret to get out!!

The Seaside Motel is a small, charming property. Each room is individually decorated with its own theme. I have stayed there on three occasions and have had a completely satisfying stay each time. Rebecca and Rick are very friendly and want to make sure you have a great stay. I would recommend the Seaside Motel to anyone wishing to have a relaxing stay in comfortable surroundings.

We found the quaint seaside city of Cayucos, just north of Morro Bay, and just west of California Highway 1, about ten years ago. My wife noticed the Seaside Motel and we stopped in to see the rooms. Rebecca and Rick Roquet are the "Mom and Pop" owners for whom their motel is a work of dedicated love, and it was immediately obvious that we would be back to stay. Practically every summer since, we spend several days at the Seaside to just relax. Each room is named and decorated, our favorite being number 9, the Cayucos Village with a kitchen. The motel is single story, and close enough to the surf that at night we can clearly hear the waves coming ashore. Part of the charm of staying at the Seaside is the garden patio that Rick and Rebecca keep blooming, clean, and well stocked for grilling on the barbecues. Rebecca and Rick do everything at their motel, from taking your reservation to cleaning your room, and anything in between. If you want to escape the plastic banana, fever dream banality of a world awash in franchises, you will fondly cherish your stay at the Seaside Motel in Caycos. We cannot wait to go back again.

Our whole family stayed at the Seaside Motel for graduation weekend. We rented several rooms each having 2 seperate bedrooms perfect for my husband and I and his parents. Each room is decorated by a theme in great detail making the entire stay very special. We stayed in the Safari Room. Our son stayed in the Intimate Ivy room. All of the restaurants and beach were within walking distance. Becky and Rick were great offering suggestions for any questions we had. Can't wait to go back.

Great base location for exploring the central coast....from Pismo to San Simeon and beyond....plus a great base location for visiting the Paso Robles and Los Olivos wine country....did I say this was a great central location :) Cutest little motel, close to the beach and very clean. I suspect that I will make the Seaside Motel an annual destination......hundreds of things to see and do are within a short drive. Owners/manager, Rebecca & Rick are very nice people too. Beautiful gardens with BBQ grills for your use.
