The accommodation is a whole maisonette with spacious open plan living room and kitchen. Upstairs is a big double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and plenty of hot water to enable me to enjoy the treat of a full bath! In our maisonette we had a rear patio looking at the mountains, perfect for the evening sun; there was a huge balcony terrace outside the bedroom with countryside and mountain views; and a front patio terrace also. The bed was very comfortable. It really is excellent value for money and the owner and his family and staff are all warm and friendly. Breakfast was as small or large as we wanted, with different cheese pies a speciality. The food at the taverna in the evening was excellent. The wine gorgeous!

As an English person living in Crete for 28 years and also working in tourism, I can be very critical if I think a place does not match expectations. Earino surpassed all our expectations. An excellent place to stay and also eat at the taverna.

After traveling for 24 hours the host at the B&B gave us 2 beer and said to relax while he checked on the room. We not only sat down to an incredible view, but the table of locals next to us pulled instruments and started singing. This is not tourist stuff. This is a family on a Sunday afternoon.

We had planned to go to our room, take a shower and change clothes. One we realized what had stumbled upon we ordered house wine(grown on sight) for 4 euro a half liter, and some incredible appetizers.

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed ourselves. Earino feels remote and romantic, yet also a little towny, with locals making the trek up the hill to the on-site taverna for dinner and drinks in the evenings. It was actually really cool to see people coming up with their families to share a meal and a bottle of wine. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on the terrace, which had lovely sweeping vistas. We also enjoyed a beautiful breakfast during our stay. Earino's food is representative of Cretan cuisine- fresh and delicious and at a reasonable price. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the staff on site were very friendly and helpful!

The apartment for 4 people is very well equipped. The double bed is very comfortable, a little less for children's sofa beds. Very clean. We even had slippers and a bottle of fresh water waiting for us in the fridge. Breakfast was exceptional: pressed orange juice, boiled eggs, Greek cottage cheese, cheese/ham toast, fruit... We recommend this hotel

Earino is simply magical. From the beautiful views, to the beautifully appointed room, and the staff. Not to mention the food was the most memorable while visiting Crete and it was on Easter. It is the perfect spot to relax and let your soul catch up to you (as my Grandfather used to say). Very relaxed but I can imagine their bar gets lively.

The pictures do not do justice to the rooms. They’re beautiful. The perfect blend of eco styling, modern comforts, and traditions.

The food was remarkable. Traditional Cretan cooking made from scratch to order with friendly staff and ambiance. It’s undeniable that the effort given by the owners pays off. We were taken care of from beginning to end.

Our only mistake was not spending more time here! We’ll be back - for me it was nirvana.

This is a bit pointless, given the place already had a perfect score and I won’t be able to say much in addition to all the praise.

Our stay at Earino qualifies among the best we had in Crete. The apartments are spa Our stay at Earino qualifies among the best we had in Crete. The apartments are spacious, impeccably clean and got all the furniture/equipment one might need. The bed is comfy.
We had an incredibly nice view from our first floor terrace. At night, all you hear are some distant dogs and bells from sheep in the mountains.
The owners are very welcoming.

The taverna (fee meters from the apartments) serves very good Cretan food, with fast and friendly service.

Given all this (and the total absence of any negative aspects), when comparing to international hotel standards I’d easily see this in a 4 star range.
Stay here, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll certainly return and thank the hosts for having (and feeding) us!

"Calm beautiful surroundings, breathtaking view, cosy comfortable flats, excellent service, real Greek hospitality, authentic people, delicious food cooked with the purest materials of the Cretan nature" are some of the phrases that can describe "Earino",a small but admirable family business (guest rooms and taverna) that won our heart and will certainly be part of our tour on our next visit to Crete.

If you are looking for a real non-touristy area with a famous Greek hospitality, go to Earino! It is worth the drive there! My husband and I continued our honeymoon on Crete after Milos and were afraid that local spirit will be lost in crowded Heraklion. However, owners of Earino make you feel like part of their family. Amazing breakfast with mountain views, great accommodations, and unforgettable dog Ira. :) we loved her. Niko allowed us to take his bikes to go for a ride. We have also cut the trip a bit shorter, so we can go to Chania, without any problem. Very much recommended if you are looking for an escape far away and see real Crete life. Thank you guys for this!

Absolutely all elements perfect. Amazing location. Very interesting area. High standard apartment. Spectacular food, both breakfast and dinners. Seems like Earino is famous for best food in the area. Owners so friendly and flexible. Even music they play in the restaurant was perfect. Will come back some day.

Beautiful facility in beautiful countryside. Family owners were extremely helpful in arranging winery visits and touring. Rooms and taverna were picturesque, with friendly service and excellent meals. Would recommend this establishment to anyone.
