Some electrical appliances and outlets don't work....no staff on-site after hours...night manager does not respond...we usually take things like electricity for granted, but at this hotel one should not

My title pretty much says it all - this place is inexpensive and conveniently located to local wineries and several restaurants, but is a little worn-looking. I'd heard that some of the rooms had been redone but don't believe mine was one of them. Still, it was clean and comfortable enough and suited me for one night. I could see... More

Currently hold for 24 minutes. What complete jerks. My wife called earlier - no call back. Trying to book a room several months in advance for a wedding weekend. We are assuming that this is an indication of the service they will provide if we stay there. So we won't. Up to 25:43 on hold. Amazing.

We had stayed here several times a number of years ago and were looking forward to a relaxing 2-night stay at the lodge, now under new ownership. Info on the website sounded as appealing as ever. Not so! The stay turned into major frustration. But, first the plus side, short as it is: the room, though small, was clean and... More

This property is given a multi-star rating isn't even one star. It's worn out with holes in the doors and walls, electrical extension chords running all over the walls and floors, televisions that require a PhD in electrical engineering to work, tub/showers that are a danger to use, a carafe of drinking water that the clerk says is there because... Stayed in one of the Lodges recently renovated rooms and it was fantastic. Expansive with a wonderful back deck that held an out-door soaking tub overlooking the valley. Utilized the spa services and quite frankly had the best sports-massage in my life. Exceptional service from all staff/team members. Very welcoming and responsive to ensuring your stay is a pleasant one.... More

There certainly is a lot to complain about if you are spending more than $125 a night. But this guy, the new owner, is living the American Dream people! And you get to be a part of it- for a cost. And the cost is up to you. You are reading this so obviously you have the smarts to do... More

The location was very local and remote in the valley. Surrounded by a lot of wine tasting rooms and a small downtown area. It was a drive to Carmel by the Sea but near the highway to Big Sur or Monterey. The public hot tub was not heated and it was obviously dirty and not taken care of. Our dishes... More
