Little tricky to find and thank goodness they have private parking! Easy check in, lovely, spacious room. Little fireplace, fridge, coffee maker. Great little market and a wine store immediately next door. There is a pool with some seating around it, closes at 7pm. Most comfortable bed ever! Great location for restaurants and shopping. Nice place!

After Norway and Iceland, Carmel is the 3rd most expensive country I have ever visited. Thank goodness Carmel Bay View Inn offers very affordable weekday rates for its awesome rooms. PROS: -Only $230 for 2 nights Sun-Tue(May 2021) -Clean, quiet, modern and spacious room and bathroom. -Comfy King sized bed -Free Parking -Walking distance to downtown's shops, art galleries, and restaurants. -Fireplace that flicks on with a electric switch...love it! -Friendly staff whom were very loose with handing out tea and coffee refills. -Pool CONS: -Can't think of any! :) Not sure when I might visit Carmel ever again, but I'd stay here again without a doubt.

Stayed here for three nights in December and was met with thin walls and rickety heater. The fireplace was decorative and did not actually heat the room. We had to request a space heater in order to not sleep in layers. We had a room on the second floor and every time some one walked past it was like they were in the room with us. The worst part was the completely disinterested staff. I get we are in Covid times but there are hotels that are still providing breakfast to go and cleaning the rooms. The front desk man was condescending and didn’t so much as ask “how was your stay?” when we checked out. I think there are cozier places available in Carmel.

Recently stayed here for 1 night in late July. One of the few properties that did not require a 2-night minimum over the weekend. Check-in was a breeze. We had the two bedroom suite (301) which had its own private access. Had to go out of the hotel parking lot onto the next street to access the suite. Very private location with a little patio. One king bed and two queens in second bedroom. Living room was sparsely furnished. LCD tv in both bedroom. Spacious bathroom with plenty of toiletries and almost instant hot water. Individual temp. controls for all rooms. The hotel is located in a prime location with everything within 10-15 minute walk. No breakfast at the hotel due to COVID. There is a little market/deli next door where you can get food/breakfast/coffee etc. We actually did a dinner take-out and ate at our patio. Grabbed some beer/wine from the market next doors. Overall, we had a good, restful stay here. Will definitely consider this hotel and room 301 for a future trip.

It was very clean and cozy hotel to be in the heart of Carmel. The hotel room was nice. There is no microwave to heat up food . No breakfast due to Covid 19. I wished they could have offer breakfast in boxes. 15 mins walk to Carmel beach.
