Only six Cottages. Very charming and peaceful. Not a typical Hotel. Old but clean. Our cottage was an artist studio at one time. A true Carmel experience. You can walk to everything in downtown Carmel.

We had a FANTASTIC time here in the Garrett Loft while staying in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The room was perfect and cozy with a gas fireplace, breakfast was delivered to our door in the morning with a smile, a short walk to the beach...the whole dang town is as charming as you could hope (like staying in a fairytale village)! Will very...

My family recently stayed at the Forest Lodge in the combination of Dali/Westin rooms and had a wonderful time. The rooms are spotless, the staff is so welcoming and accommodating; especially Eliso who really took such great care of us; and the grounds are so pretty! We would highly recommend !

We were recommended the Garret Loft room at Forest Lodge as a perfect place to stay in Carmel especially when travelling with a child/teenager. This room runs the whole length of the loft and also has a wee annex with a single bed reminiscent of the Harry Potter cupboard but it's the 5 star version! The welcome at the main...

Forest Lodge is in a busy area but it feels very private. The room was very clean. The landscape looked beautiful, I do landscape design in NY so that is something I pay close attention to. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Forest Lodge in Carmel and our experience was nothing short of wonderful. We did not have a reservation anywhere but in walking around downtown we came upon their sister lodge, The Lamp Lighter Inn. Peggy was at the front reception desk and although they did not have any rooms left she was...

First visit to Carmel, with dog and friend. Extended stay extra night because of the beautiful and quiet surroundings, market/deli across the street, breakfast delivered, pleasant and efficient staff, comfotable accomodations, and easy walking distance to everything (Carmel Plaza across the street and every Friday there is a live band). For a mature woman who walks with a cane, the...

Perfect location for exploring Carmel. Very gracious staff and quaint accommodations. We were glad we stayed at Forest Lodge because the location was quiet yet close enough to all the activity around all the beautiful shops and restaurants in Carmel. Would definitely return for another visit!

I was a tad underwhelmed by Forest Lodge. The location was great, as it was close to the restaurants and shops of downtown Carmel. It was quite a hike to the beach, though, and uphill on the way back. The layout of the cottages was very cute and lit up with lots of string lights at night, which I really...
