Detailed Reviews
We stayed in this hotel one night while in Carmel and it was a nice hotel, with a nice little breakfast.
The room was good size and the bathroom had plenty of room with a walk in shower.
There was a coffee maker in the room.
We were given The Tudor room on the top floor.
There are not elevators at this hotel and you have to walk up stairs, which would only be an issue of you had mobility issues.
The bed was decent, but not great, but we both slept ok in it. The sheets were very soft.
The room was very clean and they left us a nice surprise for our anniversary trip, which was a great touch!!
Rooms have a great balcony attached to each room with a large sliding glass door and an outdoor seating area. Great little area for morning coffee and evening wine!!
This hotel is a short distance away from the main area of Carmel by the Sea and the beach. Also close to the 17 mile drive through Pebble Beach.
When we checked out the lady working told us that we were not in the correct room we had paid for and refunded us the difference. That is great customer service.
There is also a cute little outdoor common area with seating and a fire pit that is a great little gathering area.
All in all, the customer service at this hotel is great and the rooms were good.
We would probably stay at this hotel again if we were in the area.

You get what you pay for, I should have known that $140 on a Friday night would get a place that was comfortable but having certain idiosyncrasies that are characteristics of remodeled motels from the 1960s.
Expect to hear people climbing the stairs, and hearing conversations through the walls until 2:00am.
However, the room was comfortable and had a huge flat screen.
Bathroom had mildew around the window.
Breakfast was not served even though it was listed as included on the room detail.

The wifi is pretty bad here and the office hours are sporadic. There is no breakfast or wine tasting right now due to Covid. The location is fine, but the road in front of the hotel seems to be a major thoroughfare for loud trucks. Get a room in the back!

Wine Lovers Paradise as wine is the theme of this lovely, romantic Inn. We had a second floor room that included a sitting area with fireplace, bedroom with balcony patio with table and chairs, and small but functional bathroom with walk in shower. Lovely gardens and fire-pit with chairs to be enjoyed by guests. Comfortable bed in this quiet location. Parking lot small and specific parking spot per room. Friendly, helpful staff. Note: lobby is not 24/7 so plan accordingly.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Inn.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Vendage. The rooms have been nicely decorated. I loved the fabulous landscaping- beautiful succulents and flowering plants everywhere. Our room had a back door that opened onto a charming quiet patio where we could sit and read. Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Best value in Carmel!!

Expectations were high going to Carmel. When we got to the Inn.. We were let down, the front desk clerk wasn’t helpful at all! We asked where can we get a nice cup of coffee, he said” I don’t know I live in Monterey”. I thought wow this is my first impression of this Inn. The Paint in the King Suit peeling off the walls. The air conditioning unit sounded like something was stuck in it! When I called the front desk for an extra pillow, he said” sorry what’s in the room is all we have”… We traveled for a girls weekend the room slept 3. The bed was ok. I guess this place was better than a motel 6.

We stayed here for one night with our 6 year old daughter on a road trip through California in April 2024. We were only here as a "stop-and-go", so we landed in around dinner time and were headed out by 7 a.m. the next morning. We had a King bed with a patio (we didn't use the patio, but of note, it has two Addarondack chairs and a small table, but it is quite a small/squishy space - it is private though).
The room was clean and comfortable and had a pretty good sized fridge and separate freezer (which was helpful for us since we were on a road trip and had groceries with us). The hotel isn't staffed after 10 p.m. (we were told there would be no staff on site), and when we went to check out the next morning, the staff were not back, so I don't know what time they arrive in the morning to open.
Overall, a clean place to rest if you're on a road trip.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s very close to town and the ladies made great suggestions up front. The complimentary wine tasting was definitely a great touch! The only negative thing I have to say is how thin the walls are. We were next to a very loud couple and unimaginable things went on in that room since 3am. We did enjoy the outdoor fire pit!

We received a complimentary ‘upgrade’ to the Kitchen Suite. This ‘suite’ is literally the kitchen of a former home with very minimal renovations to make it look like a hotel suite. The whole suite was just very chopped up. Huge full kitchen, tiny bedroom and very strange bathroom. No care was put into the decor in fact I think it was still decorated when it was lived in as a home. In the morning we had no hot water to shower. No one at the front desk until 8am. Called the overnight service line and woke someone up. She told us to wait until 8 when someone would be there. We needed to be on the road by 7am. Finally a knock on the door and she said it was fixed. Still no hot water and the girl said she didn’t know what was wrong. Waited until 9 for the office manager who was told another guest lost power all night. She came in to the ‘kitchen’ and reset the fuse box for the building. We were supposed to spend 2 nights. Luckily we were refunded for the 2nd night. Also - It is not walking distance to the town. Would have scored a 1 but the office manager felt very bad and easily refunded us.

Vendange is a very nice hotel. The grounds are clean, attractive, with sitting areas outside the rooms. My room had a comfortable bed, was very clean, and had an updated bathroom. It is a little ways from the main shopping area in Carmel, but walkable to shops and restaurants. I would stay at this hotel again

There is likely a major car event, or golf tournament. Prices go nuts during these weeks.
The room we had was certainly clean and warm. Our complaint was not the fault of the motel; it was due to a power outage beyond their control. Parking spots are tight. You need to drive to the main shopping district (5 minutes).
