This is the second time we’ve stayed at Vendage. The rooms have been nicely decorated. I loved the fabulous landscaping- beautiful succulents and flowering plants everywhere. Our room had a back door that opened onto a charming quiet patio where we could sit and read. Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Best value in Carmel!!

What a great find Vendange is! Clean, up to date, quiet and so convenient just off Hwy. 68 outside Pebble Beach and near Carmel proper. Simply delightful! And rightly priced! Wish we were staying longer it is so comfortable. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. Be sure to arrive before 8pm as the office closes.

We received a complimentary ‘upgrade’ to the Kitchen Suite. This ‘suite’ is literally the kitchen of a former home with very minimal renovations to make it look like a hotel suite. The whole suite was just very chopped up. Huge full kitchen, tiny bedroom and very strange bathroom. No care was put into the decor in fact I think it was still decorated when it was lived in as a home. In the morning we had no hot water to shower. No one at the front desk until 8am. Called the overnight service line and woke someone up. She told us to wait until 8 when someone would be there. We needed to be on the road by 7am. Finally a knock on the door and she said it was fixed. Still no hot water and the girl said she didn’t know what was wrong. Waited until 9 for the office manager who was told another guest lost power all night. She came in to the ‘kitchen’ and reset the fuse box for the building. We were supposed to spend 2 nights. Luckily we were refunded for the 2nd night. Also - It is not walking distance to the town. Would have scored a 1 but the office manager felt very bad and easily refunded us.

Wine Lovers Paradise as wine is the theme of this lovely, romantic Inn. We had a second floor room that included a sitting area with fireplace, bedroom with balcony patio with table and chairs, and small but functional bathroom with walk in shower. Lovely gardens and fire-pit with chairs to be enjoyed by guests. Comfortable bed in this quiet location. Parking lot small and specific parking spot per room. Friendly, helpful staff. Note: lobby is not 24/7 so plan accordingly. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Inn.

I can’t thank the staff at Vendange, especially Cyndy, who worked with my ever changing reservation dates. The room was perfect, the people were nice, and when I needed a wine opener, they had one! I highly recommend the hotel for a very personal and accommodating experience.

When I called they said it was a 15 minute walk to town but it’s further, you actually have to drive. Also our room has a wee bit of a mildew scent,I asked for a different room because I have bad allergies to mold but she said they didn’t have any even though we checked in@2:30 and there were no cars in the lot🤷🏻‍♀️ Our room is clean and the bed is comfortable but for $374 bucks (ridiculous)I expected more, but it’s July on a Saturday and it’s Carmel and it was a last minute getaway and no other hotels had available rooms so… It’s mediocre@best but it’s just for a night.

Vendange is a very nice hotel. The grounds are clean, attractive, with sitting areas outside the rooms. My room had a comfortable bed, was very clean, and had an updated bathroom. It is a little ways from the main shopping area in Carmel, but walkable to shops and restaurants. I would stay at this hotel again

You get what you pay for, I should have known that $140 on a Friday night would get a place that was comfortable but having certain idiosyncrasies that are characteristics of remodeled motels from the 1960s. Expect to hear people climbing the stairs, and hearing conversations through the walls until 2:00am. However, the room was comfortable and had a huge flat screen. Bathroom had mildew around the window. Breakfast was not served even though it was listed as included on the room detail.

I was looking for a reasonable place to stay in Carmel with my teenage daughter for one night. This is an older hotel that has been updated and the rooms are quite nice. The problem with this location is it is on a main road which is heavily trafficked. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the traffic, to the person next-door snoring. Our room was above the main office and we could hear everything they were saying on the telephone. When we went to check in, I arrived about 11:30am & the Office was locked with a note on the door to call. I called and they told me that our room was not ready & to check back between 1 and 2. The office also closes at 8 PM, so just be aware. The carpeting outside the rooms is very worn but when we got to the room, the room is nice. It was clean, the bed is comfy & includes a coffee maker, hair dryer and toiletries. The grounds have beautiful flowers and there is a fire pit although it was not being used while we were there perhaps because of the virus outbreak. Also the parking lot is tiny.

The wifi is pretty bad here and the office hours are sporadic. There is no breakfast or wine tasting right now due to Covid. The location is fine, but the road in front of the hotel seems to be a major thoroughfare for loud trucks. Get a room in the back!
