The location is excellent, with a good view of Point Lobos. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is above average. I was slightly disappointed with the room. It was very shabby (and not in a good way). The bathroom was so tiny it was almost uncomfortable to maneuver around in it. I did at least get...

We booked this hotel based on other reviews, and we were not disappointed. Check-in was quick and easy. Front Desk Clerk was very helpful in recommending places to eat nearby after our long drive. Room was excellent and met all of our expectations. The complimentary bottles of water added a nice touch. We woke up to a very filling breakfast...

The other reviews are accurate. This is a former apartment building converted to a hotel, so the soundproffing isn't perfect, and some rooms are nicer than others. We had room 12, and it was OK for our needs. They had a low midweek winter rate such that we could have had a basic room for only $79 a night. We...

We stayed one night at The Carmel Wayfarer in January of 2009. We booked the room through the visitors center in Monterey and received a rate of $119 for a king suite with an adjacent twin bedroom. First - if you're looking for a place in Carmel - especially off season, I highly recommend the visitors center in Monterey. The...

We went to Carmel for 4 days for our honeymoon. We stayed in room 18 which is basically it's own little apartment - separate from the other rooms. It had a fireplace, flat screen tv and pretty view. The staff at the Inn is awesome and very helpful, they have wine and cheese in the evenings, and a decent breakfast....

We had a fantastic stay at the Carmel Wayfarer. My good friend and I brought our dogs (2) to Carmel for the weekend since Carmel is the most dog friendly city in the country, if not the world! We were NOT disappointed! The Wayfarer has 2 rooms which are dog friendly. It's $25/night extra for 1 dog and $40 for...

The Trip Advisor community was right, this is wonderful Inn, and the host and his staff are excellent. We stayed in room 8 which has a kitchen, large "bedroom/living room" and a very spacious bathroom. The heat is provided by a gas fireplace, and made for a romantic mood. In November is was cool enough that the fireplace was used...
