We had a wine stay at Briarwood Inn. It’s a very convenient location at Carmel-By-The-Sea. The room as very nice. We had a small refrigerator, gas fireplace, small porch area and nice large room. The breakfast was good. Not a heavy breakfast, but good. Hard boiled eggs, sweet breads, fruit and bagels. If you want a bigger breakfast there are many place nearby. This was fine for us. The inn is just a few blocks from the heart if downtown. Carmel by the Sea is a steep waking town. Bring good walking shoes and dress comfortably.

We stayed 1 night in the Briarwood Inn which was in a fantastic location in the centre of Carmel by the Sea. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served in the tiny reception area and when we arrived for breakfast there were no tables available and we were asked to come back later. This was disappointing and as there were only half a dozen tables, all to seat two, it seemed we’d be waiting quite a while, so we set out to find a breakfast place elsewhere in town. So glad we did, as we met a great guy in doing so at Friar Tucks. if you’re looking for a no frills, but comfy bed for the night then this is the place. The Hog’s Breath Inn is across the road from the B&B if you’re looking for something Eastwood.

We were in an exclusive cottage with a King bed and two twin beds and living area with a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and breakfast table . The bathroom was a little cramped but comfortable. Carmel is a quaint small romantic town A great place to spend two nights. The b&b offers a continental breakfast in a small cozy area in the reception cottage but you can take the breakast to your room in a tray provided by the inn. . The b&b has about 20 rooms and each one is a different. Ours was a standalone cottage with our own exclusive space for parking Loved the cottage and cant wait to go back and stay at this lovely place, All the restaurants, shops and the beach are at a walking distance.

I never write a review during my stay, in this case, feel I must. This is possibly one of the worst B&B's I've ever been in. Let me see where to begin. 1. The windows are wide open, with no screens. This is a pet friendly hotel. Dogs can jump out the window, people can come in since our room is on the first floor, as well as bugs. When we asked for a screen they did not have any. There is no air conditioning. 2. There was something hard and sticky on the nightstand. When we called for housekeeping to come in and clean it the gentleman was embarrassed and said it felt like it had been there for days. It took some real elbow grease to get it off. Considering the cleanliness of the room, I'm thinking we will skip breakfast tomorrow. The manager finally called us back and offered to find us other accommodations, but considering it is now 9:30 PM we declined the offer. We thought about finding other accommodations tomorrow, but since it is our last day of vacation, we decided to suck it up, and enjoy our time here. 3. It is a pet friendly hotel, without a scrap of grass, or even mulch for the dogs to relieve themselves. Not sure where they expect the pups to go. 4, Oh, and the price. We will be paying $568 for two nights. The only adjustment the manager offered was to waive the pet fee. The room is very small with a lot of furniture and is a bit cramped. We will have to take down the dog's crate tomorrow so we will be able to walk to get ready to go. I'm sure 15 years ago it was a lovely hotel, but it is long past it's prime. it unfortunately does not look like the pictures provided on it's wesite. I cannot recommend you stay here.

We stayed there recently for two nights and enjoyed our stay. We had one of their cottage rooms. The room itself was of decent size, but the bathroom was teeny tiny. The shower reminded me of one you'd find in a motorhome, complete with short showerhead - I had to bend over to get my head under it and I'm only 5'11. The TV had numerous channels, but a number of them didn't work. The bed was quite comfy however, and the room does include a gas fireplace, mini fridge, and a microwave. These rooms, or at least ours, do not include A/C and it was a bit stuffy when we first got in, but the reservation host was kind enough to provide us with a fan, and that pretty much did the trick. Just like the bathroom, the registration office is teeny tiny too, and it also hosts the limited morning continental breakfast, which should be noted for early risers does not open until 8am. It can hold about 10 people max, more like 6 or 8 comfortably. All in all tho, a good location with a short walk to just about anywhere. Not sure we'd stay there again, but it did make for a pleasant stay overall.
