We stayed here twice over the last 6 months. The cottages have a quaint feel to them but the bathrooms need updating. The water pressure is good and the bed was comfortable. There is a designated parking near each cottage. The hot tub didn't seem very sanitary. Breakfast basket included muffins, fruits, juice (cans) and water (probably bought from Costco)....

The cottages are good size but the carpets are dirty and the furniture is very shabby. The price is good but you get what you pay for, and it's not much! I don't think I would come back. The only good comment I can make is that the location is great!

Comfortable mattress, pretty simple breakfast offerings (roll, juice, water, banana), fairly close to Carpenter and street noise, cute setting, but definitely old cottages in need of some updating, heat from fireplace only. Relatively quiet at night. Affordable pricing

These are older stand alone cottages, however they were roomy, clean and comfortable. In the morning there is a knock on the door and a basket of juice, fruit and muffins is delivered. This is not luxury, but for the price in Carmel its an excellent deal.

We expected a charming, perhaps romantic, comfortable room. It was merely old, cold and certainly not charming. The chalet was really an old shack with new paint applied. The room was not appealing or comfortable. The only heat was from the faut electric fireplace; not nearly enough for the cold temperatures while we were there (in the 40's, and 50's)....

Strongly advise checking on Tripadvisor for specials to any place you're interested in renting a room from anywhere in the world. My friend and I stayed here one night, off season winter, with a great special rate. Our Carmel Resort Inn cottage was really nice to relax in after a day's drive. On first walking in encountered no off smells,...

The price was right, $65/night in Jan. Reserved online but there was a 10% tax added later. good size room for 2. There are NO fireplaces but this city won't allow using on anyway. It is actually an electric fake fireplace insert in the old fireplace. Tacky fake logs on fire and flames. The room was clean and comfortable but...

This place was adequate in my opinion. The good: Continental breakfast in a basket to your door if you quick to get it. Pretty standard continental breakfast, but was good. The location was nice. The cottage idea is cool and not dirty. Flat screen TV if you only like 5 channels anyway. The"fireplace" electric heater (the only heat source). The dog...

We stopped here for one night driving from San Francisco to Santa Barbara and thought it would be a good place to spend the night. We opted for Carmel because of its proximity to Big Sur, but in retrospect I would recommend you stay at Monterey which is a 10 min drive away. We arrived at night and it was...

My wife and I stayed two nights at Carmel Resort Inn on May 2nd and 3rd. We also brought with us friends who occupied another room for two nights. Twenty minutes after leaving, already on the road to Sacramento, my wife realized that she had left her blue silk scarf, a gift of her late mother, hanging on the closet...
