This place is in the heart of beautiful Carmel and could be very nice..... if the owners would invest some money into updating it. However, it is very run down and I would never stay here again. This is one of the few places that my wife and I felt uncomfortable staying in. It was old, outdated and dirty. The... More

Plus: Clean beds. Large rooms. Good location on a quiet street. Minus: Rude staff. Does not honor advertised promises (i.e. Breakfast). Mold and bugs in rooms. Terrible parking arrangements (car got blocked in when next guest parked in their spot). Rooms are not accessible. And staff was rather rude about a service animal.

We checked into the hotel and were assigned a room (Stevenson) that was truly uninhabitable. It was dirty, smelled moldy, the carpet had recently been pulled up and the "wood" floor underneath was unfinished. There was molding falling off of the baseboards. The bed frame was too big for the mattress. Something had been mounted on the wall in the... More

Nice, comfortable and simple cottage with parking. It was perfect for us. Had good service, close to stores and restaurants at Carmel. Just a few blocks and easy access to beach. Entrance to pebble beach also a few blocks. Pet friendly beach.

Room was near 95 degrees when we checked in. No AC. Had to leave door and windows open and place a fan in the doorway to get room cool enough to stay in. Only one chair in room. Promised on website (still there)" breakfast delivered to room". When I asked this morning she said "Oh we don't do that anymore"... More

Stayed here for a day and night first week of January. Operative word: RUSTIC. Things I liked: the cabin & surrounding grounds, Fireplace, Fridge/coffeemaker/microwave in room, overall atmosphere, PRICE. Things that need improving: room decor, lack of electrical outlets, bathroom (in general), bedsheets (old). This is a great stop for couples on a budget who are not high maintenance. If... More

Overall the whole hotel just feels abandoned. The carpet was ugly and dirty. The same goes for the shower curtains and bath tub. Breakfast was also bad. The only reason we didn't leave immediately is because there were no other nice hotels available and we were tired from driving the whole day. Thank God the sheets were clean!

Stayed here this past weekend for the last time, the place has really gone down since last time we were here. Bad service and with no notice whatsoever they no longer deliver breakfast to your room but now set it up in the lobby for you to come and serve yourself. this would be fine if they didn't advertise as... We have stayed here many times and thought it was nice place for the price. Wellthistime we were very disappointed. The rooms are very sterile not a bit charming. The "fireplace" is a wall heater that glows, which had no way to regulate it was hot or cold. The floors are bare. There was no TV station guide in the... More

Recently had a quick 1 night stay planned and due to an unfortunate family emergency and hospital visit, needed to cancel inside the 24 hour window. Originally booked the room on Booking.com. Called the Inn 1st and they said it was out of their hands, so I called Booking.com and they needed to call the Inn to try and cancel.... More
