Wonderful stay. Very accommodating and welcoming staff. We brought our dog, and it was very easy and convenient. Location was great as well - right near the restaurants and galleries. It was a quick walk to dinner each night. Would come again!

This is one of the few Inn in Carmel that is reasonably priced. I would absolutely stay here again. The good stuff: The bed is super comfortable and I love the bleach-clean smell of the white sheets and comforter. The room has coffee and a keurig, water and a mini-fridge. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can walk to all the restaurants and shops. The Cons: The shower is tiny and the shower head awkward (in rm 20). The shower head sprayed directly out the hitting the other wall without hitting you. I had to pull it off the holder to get wet. The sink drain was all rusted. There were other guests having an argument at 3am that was very easy to hear. Not much sound insulation.

The service recently is embarrassing. We’ve stayed here for years and things have clearly changed. They do not care about the experience of their guests, even when they are the ones that have impacted the stay. In the same day they had a water leak that led to a water shut down in the entire hotel, as well as an internet outage (which according to their front desk happens regularly) and this all lead to them being unable to contact us when they said they would regard multiple factors related to our stay. We were told that the problems they were experiencing should not impact us and they could do nothing for us bc “of their policy”. They have been nothings but condescending, rude, and demising. I will not stay here again or any of their associated hotels, which is sad bc we are regulars. I called a few times leading up to our stay and each time people were consistently rude and disregarding. Uninterested in our stay or being guests in their hotel. No longer for me, our family or our extended family.!

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and have loved it. It was my go-to place in Carmel. However, this last time I went it was absolutely disgusting, and no, that's not an exaggeration. The paint was chipping off of corners of the walls and the ceilings. It looked like there was a major water leak in the ceiling at some point that wasn't properly repaired. Numerous areas looked like they has previously been repainted but instead of sanding and properly painting they just slapped some paint on it. There was a significant amount of mold and throughout the bathroom and especially around the 2 person jetted spa (I always stay in a premium pet-friendly king room). I also booked under a special where I was supposed to get a bottle of wine but was never given it. They didn't serve breakfast like they normally do, probably used COVID as an excuse even thought everything is always wrapped, but the bad part was they didn't tell you, it just never showed up even though you were still paying for it. There was a family with numerous small dogs and loud children running around disruptive. Their dog came at my dog numerous times (theirs was never on leash, mine was). I pointed this out to reception and they said "yeah, they're definitely noisy, and kind of annoying," but never did anything about it. It was an awful experience; which is too bad because it used to be exceptionally clean and well-maintained.

A last minute booking. Love the premium rooms. They are super spacious for a trip with my pups. I have a Great Dane. This room was perfect and i love the relief area right on the hotel. The hotel was close to Ocean Ave. where all the shops and restaurants are. They also give you a list of places that give you discount by showing your hotel key card. They also offer cookies!
