Stayed here due to its central location, the foyer has a beautiful antique style reception area - however, no food or drink are allowed in this area which is hysterical given that its in a hotel. The room we stayed in was in a different building and no lifts accessed it and after all our shopping was a bit of...

Great location, but not sure i can stretch to anymore positives. Not a negative stay by any means, we only stayed for one night, but the hotel is very traditional. In the public area's it's in a charming way, however when you get to the rooms, charming turns to dated, and they really do need modernising. Expensive for what you...

I had stayed outside of town before and wanted to be in walking distance of downtown and beach. This is the place. Old and established but location trumps all! We will be back

This is a comfortable hotel in the heart of Carmel. My wife and I enjoyed the proximity to the shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. The age of the building is apparent since our room and some of the hallways sloped a bit. The electrical outlets are antiquated; three prong outlets are only in the bathrooms. We...

The location was nice, but I feel it was overpriced for what you got. Probably all the inns/B&B's in Carmel are like this. I agree with other reviewers, that the hotel could stand to be updated, but I guess it is part of the charm of Carmel.

Some older hotels exude charm, others like Pine Inn just have seen better days. The floors slump, the bath tiles worn, the beds too soft and there are no three prong plugs in rooms (laptops weren't invented in the 40's - which seems to be the relevant time period). The older woman who greeted us upon checkin was condescending and...

Although it is one of the oldest hotels in town, the Pine Inn hotel is a perfectly maintained property. Starting from the hotel lobby area, with classic furniture and a wonderfull fireplace, up to the room we have stayed in, everything is remarcable about this place. Our room (Standard King room) was large enough and woderfully decorated, with all modern...

Loved the beautiful old lobby and the great location of this historical hotel in downtown Carmel. No need to ever get in your car when you can walk to all of the wonderful restaurants, shops and even the beach while staying in Carmel. The room was small, but decorated in such a lovely way that it didn't bother us. Everything...
