We rang to see if we could book a table for dinner and were told to arrive at 4 pm for cocktails and Dinner was from 5 , we got there at 3,55 to find a queue of people waiting in line, i now know why, it was a fantastic place with great views, the staff were fantastic, and out... More

We have been going to the Mission Ranch for about 30 years, at least once a year - for dinner. We love the consistently good quality of the unpretentious menu items - we tend to opt for the prime rib or fresh fish and have never been disappointed. The portions are generous and prices reasonable - and the ambiance is... More

Great spot to stay. Beautiful grounds in an amazing town. Wish we had of stayed longer. Restaurant on site which I wish had of been a better main course. Other than that everything was good. Highly recommend the stay.

We stayed in the farmhouse for one night on our journey of Route one. First off Carmel is magically and when we pulled into Mission Ranch we were in AWE! It is such a beautiful property and the room was maybe a little small but so clean and cute. It was the best night slept we had on the trip.... More

We've just returned from another fabulous stay at the Mission Ranch in Carmel, CA. This time it was a family affair, our two daughters, their husbands and our grown up grandchildren helped us celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. As usual the "farm-like", yet luxurious accommodations, were so inviting and comfortable with fireplace and spa. The view from our room of... More

This place is well laid out and in a beautiful setting, our room had all we needed, the staff were knowledgable on the area and very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was fantastic, the best steaks we have ever had, if we visited Carmel again we would definitely stay here

We stayed for one night in a queen room in the farmhouse (the only space available when I booked) and were very pleased. The décor was a bit chintzy, but in keeping with the age of the property. It was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. There was also a nice, big bathroom. The grounds/gardens are lovely and we enjoyed... More

The Mission Ranch is a nice place to stay while traveling the Pacific Coast Highway. The property is wooded and the rooms are in no more than two-story buildings or bungalows dotting the property. Our room was very large and on the second floor of a building with vaulted ceilings, two queen beds, a fireplace and balcony with a side... More

I love the Mission Ranch and have stayed here a few times over the years, but not in the last 10. On a recent trip we stayed in the Bunkhouse which is such a great location and view it is a real shame that with just a bit more capital expenditure this could really be a premium resort hotel. The... More

Mission Ranch is a delightful restaurant / hotel. The site is wonderful- a meadow/ marsh , with sheep grazing during the day. The site was going to be developed into condominiums and there was no way to get it protected, so Clint Eastwood bought it to save it. The food is varied excellent, and a good value. The rural setting... More
