We stayed in Room 6. It is simple but with a very nice view of the bay. We were glad we chose this place and not a chain hotel. It's in a beautiful residential area. It's quite a few blocks from the restaurants and shops downtown, but we just took our car and had no trouble finding parking there. We...

We ended up at the Sandpiper Inn when we had a problem at another Inn that we booked. We called it a happy accident. We were able to get two rooms and both were lovely. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the woman at the desk was very kind and helpful. The inn is very close to the beach...

Stayed here for one night en route to LA. Nice quirky hotel our room was a cottage room outside. Lovely room but my partner went to take a shower and as there was no warning that the shower was slippy and to use the mat he slipped and broke two toes. This has been reported to the hotel. Also this...

BEST IN CARMEL. We highly recommend the Sandpiper Inn, which is only a few feet from the ocean. It is a great price for a very comfortable room. The inn is quaint, very clean, quiet, the breakfast is good, and they go out of their way to take care of you. Open the windows in the evening and you can...

This was the most expensive hotel that we booked on our US road trip as I thought we would go upmarket for a night . I was very disappointed, Tiny room and shower . You will get a much better hotel elsewhere . Girl at reception was really nice but the woman on duty at breakfast was like Basildine Fawlty...

Lovely midweek escape soaking up Carmel quiet and fog...away from the tourist area a block from the beach...fell asleep listening to the crashing waves...met new friends around the fire pit enjoying Carmel Valley wine or while sharing breakfast fellow visitors...ample parking...enjoyed the quiet of not having a telephone, TV, or radio in the room...just mellow out

I feel in love with Carmel during our visit to the sleepy, beautiful town. The hotel is located right across the street from the ocean with ample parking right out front. No issues w/ check in. Our room was fine, nothing special, but seemed clean and well appointed. Definitely on the small side though. My issue has to do with...

Decent quiet inn near the southern end of Carmel beach. Not expensive comparing to hotels in downtown. Good breakfast, clean room and lobby. Located rather far from restaurants/shops - long walk or ride. Parking is easy nearby. Experiment shows that even on crowded Saturday a parking place can be found in or near downtown, so riding for dinner is not...

Very quaint, clean and lovely historic home with charming bedrooms and bathrooms. Location is spectacular, right across street from ocean. Pleasant longer walk to Downtown Carmel. Nice breakfast included. Definitely recommended over many other places we have stayed there.

The Sandpiper is close to the beach but for dinner in town we drove. The room was comfortable and had an ocean view which was 1 block away. The breakfast was ok and not made at the inn. The staff did leave something in the refrigerator for our early departure. The staff was friendly.
