Legen Golf Course in Carlsbad is very well maintained for the turf and the greens but it is negligent in maintaining the hundreds of Willow trees that have huge overhangs and branches that cover the golf paths. These large overhangs must be cut as they present a danger to the golfers. They swing in the winds and can crashing down on the golfers in their carts . one such accident will lead to heavy damages. Part of the maintenance of the golf course is to remove all overhangs from the willow trees. please make sure that is done. Asim C Bose Owner Dhauladhar Mountain Golf Club DMGC Himachal Pradesh India

We had just got back from a wonderful stay at the Omni. We stayed in what we’re supposed to be a joining rooms but was taking Nextdoor to a two queen room we put the hotel phone on speaker so we could hear each other so the kids could be by themselves and we could have some privacy. The restaurant was great in the lobby, the brunch was very good and the service was always with a smile. the marketplace was OK for breakfast and good for coffee. There’s a large selection of cute escort wear. Bob’s steakhouse was excellent, mike provided great service. the pool was fun with waterslides. We got a cabana reservation, which is a good value if it crowded it wasn’t when we went in October. We put the kids in the kids club which they enjoyed a lot and we went to the spa. The spa was good I feel a little overpriced ($570 for two massages).

I have been staying at La Costa for perhaps 30 years. Not much has changed which is both good and bad. Service and staff are simply great. Golfing is perfection. The problem is the entire place has aged. Rooms are old and moldy or at the very least mildewy. They have painted and upgraded many things but for the non pandemic pricing- just too much money for too old of a place. But now is a great time to be there at lower prices which make sense during the Pandemic era. If you ignore the room issues ( just old) this is still a great spa and golf destination. Be sure to call first to make sure the spa is open on the days you are there. The hotel is in compliance with state laws so the spa is opened and closed a lot due to Covid. But as I said - if you are looking for a great spa and golf destination at a fraction of the normal cost - La Costa is perfect. Under new owners (Omni) perhaps renovations are on their way....but the Gym, Golf Course and the actual property is a great getaway. Oh yes one more thing, during this Covid time, their restaurants have limited openings. You must go off property to have breakfast or lunch. In conclusion: at discounted rates - perfect getaway. At full rates - better choices out there like La Quinta.

We came out to Carlsbad to escape the poor air quality from the fires in OC. This is a beautiful property with fun and warm pools with slides in the kid section. I noticed that they have childcare running for young kids. It is a sprawling resort, so you either have to walk a bit or get a ride from the bell hops who drive golf carts. This is a resort from the sixties, so the room feels a little dated, but we enjoyed our stay so much, that we extended it a few days. The guest wifi worked well enough for two simultaneous zoom calls in the room. They also offer higher speed internet for a fee, or it's free for members.

My husband and I decided to go away for a quick relaxing get away for some pool and sunshine. It was weirdly quiet and due to covid a lot of things were unavailable (like the fire pits surrounding the beautiful property) BUT we still had a very great stay. We went on a Monday and the pool had plenty of seats and didn’t feel crowded or unsafe. The manager joe came to check up on us and made us feel extremely cared for and welcome. Overall, no complaints and will be back.
