We stayed here just for one night. The room was nice- separate living area from the bedroom. The pool looked nice but we didn’t have a chance to try it out. We had a light vibrating in the bathroom, which was a bit annoying. The late check in and early checkout made it a short visit. Just before 930, someone from the hotel rang the doorbell and asked when we would be checking out. I told her this morning, and she asked for a specific time. We had to check out by 10, so it felt weird that they were pressuring us to leave even earlier. All in all, it was spendy to stay there from 5pm to 930am. I probably would look elsewhere next time!
We stayed here about 3 times in the past few months! The hotel is very nice with full amenities! Our last trip was during the Flower Field Season and their hotel location is perfect! There is a food wall called Windmill food hall and they have the best food d selection ever! Will definitely be back next time we are planning to stay in the area again. The pool area is also very nice for kids but never really got to enjoy as it was always chilly when we visit!
Pacific Palisades Resort located on the million dollars hilltop of Carlsbad California. It has beautiful view of Pacific Ocean & in March to May has beautiful view of the flower fields. Resort is well maintained. The staff & front desk are friendly and helpful. Maintenance guy Donald provided an outstanding services and after the job done the place were nice & clean. Our family liked the underground parking and luggage carts that provided for guests. It’s a nice for Vacation.
Donald Maintenance Guy was quick to respond very early Sunday June 12 am to a clogged bathroom sink SOS. He worked diligently and got to the root of the problem. Donald went above and beyond sharing travel tips for the area , he wrote us a nice note as follow up to tell us the sink was repaired as it was a much bigger problem. He also took the initiative to follow up with a call at supper time to ensure everything was working well. Thank you Donald , you made a bad early morning experience so much better. We need more maintenance guys like you out there .
We used our RCI Exchange and enjoyed a 7-night stay here. Our two-bedroom condo was beautifully furnished and very clean. The kitchen and living room are large with a well-equipped kitchen. We had guests over for dinner and there was plenty of room. Tanya checked us in, friendly and accommodating. We were fortunate that our room was available when we arrived. There is no daily housekeeping available, but if you need towel changes or other amenities, the staff are happy to assist. This is a family focused resort, lots of family and kids in the pool, activity center and arcade. The grounds are well kept and very safe. If you're going to Legoland, this resort is the best. You walk across the street and you're there.
We stayed here for 4 nights on a recent road trip to the Anaheim/Carlsbad/San Diego area. We had the 2 room suite with the King bed and couch pullout. I remember trying to find a place to stay in the area and was initially looking at a BW because that is my typical place of stay. I booked early (cancellable) and I am not sure if I got great rated but overall I think the rates were similar, in not better, than the BW I was looking at...and I am so glad I found this one. There is a $28 resort fee, but it is worth it, especially since that includes parking and if you are visiting Legoland they have a $25 parking fee. Also it is underground so they aren't just charging to park your car in front of the hotel. So it is a wash PLUS you get all the extras this place provides, like the multiple pools and hot tubs, arcade area, table tennis, basketball, foosball, a toddler jungle gym area, AND an activity center where you can sign up for fun things like painting, etc. The grounds are great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. No issues there. We came from Anaheim and called at about 8am to see if we could potentially check in early or at least leave our bags at the front desk. They said that it will depend when we get there whether there would be room for the baggage, but likely would, and would let us know when we got there if we could check-in early. When we arrived they let us know that we could check in immediately, so that was nice. In all the places we stayed (8 hotels before this) this was the only place that had a little towel animal on the bed waiting for us. Yes it is simple, but it's little stuff like that which starts your stay off right. They also provide a microwavable popcorn and hot chocolate! Little things that go a long way. The room we had was a full kitchen which was great for a lengthy stay. It was fully furnished including dish soap, dishwasher tabs, etc. During our stay we were notified at checkin that they would be swapping out the curtains. They did this while we were gone. Also during one day (~8pm) we had a maintenance person ask to change out the air filter. He was very nice and it didn't bother us at all, but maybe for some this knock on the door wouldn't be welcome. We did have an issue that later turned out not to be an issue and was our fault, ha ha. After the first night our door was ajar and was only held by the chain. We were sure we locked the deadbolt but felt uneasy that someone may have tried to enter the room. I walked and talked to the front desk and they showed immediate concern. They had someone scan the door lock to see if someone had a non-hotel approved card, but it only showed that our card was used. They kept in contact with me through text while we were at Legoland. They said they wanted to ensure we felt safe and they were great. However...our young daughter later explained that she had woken up from a nightmare and on her way to our bed, had gotten confused and opened the front door! So it was just her all along, ha ha. But in that situation I felt the hotel did a great job of ensuring we were, and felt, safe. We were able to only take advantage of the kids pool area on one night. The pool is heated and is big, so that was really nice. However, note that the splash park area is not, so it was cold. It would be nice on a hot day, but we stayed out of it during the evening. The hotel had toys to use and there was plenty of spots for lounging and lots of towels. Also, about 1/3rd of the pool was at like the 3' deep mark which I loved, because it allowed my young daughter to move around freely (she cannot swim yet). So that was nice because usually at hotel pools the pools is always too deep for the young ones. This allowed my daughter to play in the pool while I watched from the hot tub and I didn't need to be right by her side at every moment. Overall this place is great and I will definitely stay here again, and have no problem recommending it to others going on a Legoland trip.…
Just checked out a 5-night stay. Excellent accommodations- spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this resort because of its location and clean, modern, and spacious accommodations. We were a family of six in a 3-bedroom villa. Each of us had enough space to come together as a family when needed, and/or retreat to our separate quarters as well.
This was a great place to relax with the beach 1.5 miles away and several California Coast public beaches available for recreation. Our unit had a Pacific Ocean view and overlooked the Field of Flowers in full bloom.
We stayed here for two nights during a road trip and related to a visit at Legoland. The hotel is great in many ways, but unfortunately have some flaws that doesn't make it 5* material (but could easily have been if they wanted to). Let's start with the positive first; The hotel grounds are really nice and so are the rooms. We got upgraded to a 2 room suite with a little terrace/lawn, which was really great and in many ways saved this stay. The pool area and playground is also nice, although it would be nice with some hotter water in the splash pad as well. The walk to Legoland was must shorter than anticipated, so I'm happy I didn't pay extra for The Westin or Sheraton. There is also a spacious garage, but charging for parking here (through the resort fee), isn't really ok. If it all had stopped there, this would be a 5* review, and I really wanted it to be. Unfortunately there are too many policy-issues. First of all I always withdraw 2 stars for destination/resort-fees. The upgrade saves one of them, but paying $28 to use amenities I've already paid for through the hotel price is a practice that should be shut down immediately, Luckily we had a car so there was some value added there (although it should have been free), but paying to get access to Internet, the gym, kids active park etc, when they all are reasons why I choose this hotel in the first place is just not right, so just stop it. There should be no such thing as a resort fee, it's called the rate, so with premium amenities you can add a premium to your room rate. Also, my wife and I have about 30 years of hotel experience between us, and even we have never encountered check-in/out times like these. You check in at 17(!), and we didn't get the room one minute ahead of that. Then you have to check out again at 10. That means that if you stay for one night, you arrive after the sun leaves the pool area, and have to leave again almost before it comes back up. Even if the rooms are spacious, there are absolutely no reason for such times. It's either laziness or cost saving by cutting staff. Stay here if you can make use of all the amenities as you pay for them twice, If not, find somewhere else. It should be easy to fill this hotel with 5* reviews if they stop the greediness and ge their act together.…
We had a problem with our initial room. Sam the manager and Amiyah his assistant took very good care of us. They changed our room to a great room. They were very professional and helpful. Excellent customer service! We loved the property and will visit again.
