I enjoyed celebrating my birthday here with all our children and parents. Friends also came at various times and dined with us. The hotel validated their parking which is excellent! We played tennis a few times. They were doing renovations but there were 2 courts available. During the day it was not easy to get a court. Most of the staff were wonderful! From the court staff to valets, reception, etc. They served with a smile.

Hotel's Favorite
I was not expecting such a beautiful hotel in the middle of Carlsbad. I booked the Hyatt at a friends suggestion and was not disappointed. The thoughtful extras, like water on arrival and exit... chocolates by the bed and exemplary cleaning staff made all the difference. And the view is not so bad either - gorgeous views of the bay, hills and calming exterior of the hotel and surrounding villas. I was traveling for work and it ended up being a mini vacation... highly recommend.

Property is beautiful but far from 5 star service. We stayed for a quick staycation. Room was great and pools were great. The views are absolutely gorgeous here. Unfortunately service here is extremely lacking. Some examples: - our room was 1:40 late in being ready - When we checked in, we asked for a crib so our baby could take a nap when we arrived. No crib was in the room and it took 40 mins and 3 requests to get a crib - Pool service took 30 mins before anyone came to us - mind you this was off season, staff was not busy. - No attendant to help with setting up chairs or umbrella. This is supposed to be a 5 star resort? - it took 20 mins to get a bucket of canned beer after ordering at the pool - again, this was off season, they weren’t slammed. - when we arrived to our room there was long piece of hair in the shower from the previous guests. - No ice in the ice machine - Breakfast - 7 min wait before greeted by server - asked for water with lemon, no lemon brought - Keys were turned off 1 hour before our checkout time. With a screaming toddler and the compounded issues, this was infuriating. - Didn’t charge vehicle when asking valet These are all things that are completely unacceptable at a 5 star resort. 5 star resorts are all about the details and they failed miserably with us. Frankly it felt like we were staying at a Renaissance (nothing wrong with a Renaissance but they’re not 5 star resorts!) rather than what’s supposed to be a 5 star resort. Actually, our experience at the Renaissance in Palm Springs was better with much more personalized service. For $1000/night, we expected much more. We were at Pelican Hill the week prior where the service was impeccable. Everything you expect from a 5 star property and more. To have these issues were a major let down.…

I understand this Hyatt had a complete renovation. It shows.. The pool even has slides for the kids. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom. That’s important to me traveling with my wife. Valet staff was very friendly and helpful. Actually everyone was friendly and helpful.

At check-in, Annie and Christina were awesome and went above and beyond helping me to upgrade to a courtyard suite. Jennifer Andersen from Concierge did fantastic jobs resolving 2 error charges on the folio. Tennis court and driving range were great. Only issue is 2 tennis courts left for guests use is pretty inconvenient. Dinner at Ponto Lago was just so-so, in fact my ribeye steak was overly salty. But the breakfast buffet was great. One of the best omelet I had. Spa experience was mediocre. The facility was good and staff was friendly. A minor note, the room 420, the channel 92 Disney Jr never worked. And the internet constantly dropped.

We just completed a seven-night stay at this awesome property. Everything exceeded our expectations. It was amazing to see so many familiar faces from years past. The property is quiet and relaxing, but offers plenty of activities. I would like to give a special shout out to Annie (front desk), Corina (Ponto Lago restaurant) and Tom/Lance (valet) for going above and beyond for us. The property speaks for itself, but the team at the Park Hyatt was outstanding! We will be back soon!

The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is quickly becoming my favorite hotel in the world. Luxurious yet unpretentious, elegant yet comfortable, the Park Hyatt hits just the right notes at every turn. The views when sitting outside on the patio for dinner and drinks at sunset are beyond description - for the first time I think the photos of the hotel and grounds online actually undersell what the property looks like in person. The views seem to represent a foundational message of the property of relaxation, enjoyment, and luxury. The service is personal and tailored, the entertainment and food are wonderful, and every time I leave the Park Hyatt I am planning my return.

The hotel is beautiful AND the staff is where this place excels! The staff here is beyond helpful, informative and genuinely great people! The view from the room was really great, the dinning was fantastic and even with a wedding going on the hotel remained clean and the staff was still available to attend to everyone’s needs.
