#15 of 26 hotels in Paro
Taktsang View Resort and Spa is one of picturesque hotels with the best location, good views and a free and open space. Its located at the road end where people wishing to visit the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery starts their hike from here. With the background of Tiger’s Nest Monastery, it’s a small 8-luxury rooms boutique hotel spread over an acre of land with organic vegetables and fruits grown from the 75 decimal backyard garden. From the hotels and rooms you will not only see Tiger’s Nest monastery clung on the vertical cliff above but also at the sight is the green and lush valley of Tshento village and Drugyel Ruins. We have in house hot stone bath that has curative and healing medicinal purpose, well-equipped modern Spa and a furnished dinning with each separate dedicated team.

We stayed for three nights on our excellent Swallow Tail tour for three. The staff were gentle and polite. Both the public rooms and our rooms were clean and attractive. Our pine lined room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed composed of two double beds sheeted together. There was no television. There was a stocked mini bar, tea making, desk and chair, two lounge chairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was very large and convenient with a shower over a bath. The water was hot except on the morning that we found ourselves without any water due to the pipes freezing. There were two electric heaters in the bedroom, one attached to the wall and another that we requested after finding the first inadequate. The lighting was good. Our double room had a balcony with a couch that over looked the mountains and the Tigers Nest Temple. It was very pleasant in the afternoon before the sun went down. There was an area to play archery and the staff dressed us in traditional costumes for the experience. The hot stone baths set outdoors were excellent so remember your bathers. The large and highly decorated restaurant where we had breakfasts and one dinner had a large and completely inadequate electric heater. The breakfast options included stuffed parantha, pouri and subji, which was a welcome relief from eggs and cardboard toast. The portions were very generous and the service was courteous and attentive.

Spent the last 2 nights of my stay in this lovely hotel. Although it was winter, they provided bed warmer so you sleep well at night. After a day hiking up and down Tiger's Nest, the hot stone bath was wonderful! We also had a special New Year party together with all the hotel guests and staff with dances, drinks, buffet and even a cake. That was special.

We stayed here in February and found it very warm and comfortable. The food was good and we discovered and enjoyed peach wine. Our bedroom was large and overlooked the Tigers Nest which was a bonus. The hotel was outside Paro and away from the barking dogs.

This is a beautiful property in Bhutan. We loved our rooms here. Service is good and staff is really nice. During our stay in Bhutan we never found rude hotel staff. Only improvement point is food which I have mentioned for all hotels in Bhutan. Overall we loved our stay here.

Its a resort of 10 rooms and we got the best and the biggest room viewing the world famous taktsang tiger monastery from our room window. room was huge and warm wooden flooring with nice and big balcony facing their archery ground. The bed was huge and had heating bed facility. my kids jumped with happiness and excitement with the feeling of warm bed in the cold season time.At your arrival they will give u a local alcohol to try too. This hotel is 10 mins away by drive from the tiger monastery trek. The outer look of the hotel is very rural but room we stayed in was excellent and the service of the staff and the manager was super excellent. Please expect very simple breakfast but u can give your choice a night before and it will be served on table for u .It was'nt like a buffet but al a carte breakfast with personalised service. They made us wear the bhutanese outfit and took us for archery which was which was 40m of range. It was a good fun and learning experience. After tiger monastery we had hot stone bath in the resort which was excellent and i highly recommend it. Location wise it was a bit away from the main poro shopping and city but at the foothills of tiger monastery but since we had our own car we didnt had any trouble in terms of commuting and location because we loved our room. one day we went to haa valley and the resort packed us our lunch in the bhutanese basket.. the food was simpli delicious. The main dish of bhutan thatt is kewa datsi and emma datsi is a must try. I loved their chef she was made some good delicacies which u can ask her to do during your visit too.A peaceful stay.
