This is a beautiful property, though a bit expensive. The grounds are beautiful with a stream running through and extensive landscaping. The rooms are large and luxurious, and with sit out balconies in the outer buildings and large glass sides in the main building. Our rooms balcony was overlooking the river and was mesmerizing. Service is great with smiling staff... More

The first is to install more lightings in the room. The second is to improve Internet connection. The hotel is very traditional in design, it's strength and weakness. The lobby is beautiful, especially the columns and beams covered by traditional carvings. The rooms are in blocks, about 8-10 per block in traditional settings, room is very specious, 2 big double... Beautiful resort/spa, rooms with a view and good food. The hotel has everything with a great tea house and couples spa. Wonderful hospitality and a good movie selection :) Scenic views, great photo opportunities and Taktsang trek is close too.

Best views of the nature from almost all rooms I suppose. Waking up to the sound of flowing river and birds in the balcony was the best memory that I have of the hotel. And the architecture is that of the Royal Bhutanese style which we loved. The alter in the main building was a nice touch. The separate fitness,... More

This is the first place I stayed in Paro when I visited Bhutan for the first time over three years ago and I was smitten with its beautiful gardens thick with willows and ponds. I am now married and live in Bhutan and a couple of months ago, we had our wedding reception here. The property is beautifully landscaped and... More

I stayed at como uma paro and here. They are both top hotels. This one is locally owned and of international standard. The spa massages here are excellent and the grounds are extensive with beautiful foliage. The architecture is impressive. The rooms are quite big with a living area. The food is decent.

Zhiwa Ling is built in Bhutanese style with local materials (wood and stone). It has carvings and paintings similar to that of Bhutanese homes. The room we were in was generous in size and with a view of the river and mountains. The hotel is set in a beautiful garden full of colourful flowers, trees (including weeping willows), a stream...
