This has the big attraction of being close to the Tiger’s Nest,and owned by a Bhutanese so without the ghastly international nonsense of the Aman or the Meridien. You actually know you are in Bhutan and it is a bit different.

We came to this hotel because they offered in their website (you still can see there) yoga classes with many visiting teachers and mediatation classes with accomplished monks. Actually we decided for this hotel because of the meditation room overlooking Tiger’s Nest.

Also depends if you are just doing day trip activities or trekking overnight. April will have good weather overall - so no need for a heavy coat. Maybe some thin gloves just in case, but I doubt you'll need it. Same with heavy coat. :)
