Extremely poorly managed. Was told no housekeeping after 8 in the evening. The hotel is build on the riverside and has big lawns which are very dirty . As a result the rooms are full of flies in the summer. No AC in temp of 34/36 degrees . Pathetic. wanted to speak to the Manager . was not available. In... More

Visited this resort in May 2016, the rooms were big and spacious with a small drawing area too. Apart from that, every thing at the resort is either old and worn out or under construction. The garden had more ditches than plants. The name plate of the resort had old clothes hanging on them. So, you can imagine how dead... More

Terrible hotel - never stayed in a hotel that lacked basics like 'house keeping'. The towels, water bottles, tea etc were not replaced in all the rooms the night that we stayed. The breakfast was nothing great with the buffet always cold/empty. The dinner was decent. Staff seemed pleasant but very lazy with no manager responsible for them. Strongly recommend... More

The hotel is located beautifully. The first appeal is good. But then starts the real ordeal. The hotel has no management at all. The staff individually is sweet but that doesn't help beyond a point - the hotel has very little staff, there is no power back up - we had to spend an evening on candles and matchsticks. The... We stayed in Udumwara for 2 nights. The good things first. The people in the reception and restaurant are very warm. Rooms are quite spacious. The place is quite near to Tiger's nest. Food (for an Indian vegetarian) is very good. Now the things that ain't good. I wouldn't call it a resort. There is nothing to do there other... More

Very nice property on the bank of river Paro with Apple and peach orchards. Refreshing place with a view of the Mountain from the balcony next to the river. The balcony was very small...unusual for a hotel with large rooms. A walk in the morning to the orchard is refreshing.

The city of Paro ends and you are still driving along side the river Pochhu and you find this resort at the extreme end. Make a note if you are not mobile you are at no man's land. Far away from any facility around. But as you enter the hotel you are in leap of luxury. Staff out here is... More

Udumwara Resort is an average hotel. Wifi is only available at the reception area (lobby) since there is no wifi in rooms. Rooms are very big with a balcony but the bathroom Washroom is very average with poor decor. The food in the restaurant was average with very limited choices. A lot of time taken for delivery of food after... More

Spent three nights in the villa beside the river with the water roaring all night, fantastic view of the mountain from our ornately painted porch. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the food freshly made and decent. It is Bhutan, so there were a few rough edges. But hey, it's Bhutan. I don't understand people from developed countries... More
