We spent three nights at this wonderful resort. Located on the banks of river Paro, just outside the Paro town on the road to Taktsang Monastery (a.k.a. Tiger's Nest) The resort has well furnished rooms in the main building and some cottages on the back side, closer to the river. Both types of rooms are spacious and well designed -... More

It's a fabulous place to stay in Paro right beside Paro river and very close to Tiger hill on which the famous Takshang monastery is located. The resort has one main building having rooms and also a number of cottages in the backyard just by the side of the river. We stayed in the main building. The rooms are majestic... More

This is a quaint facility near the town. Has a total of 22 rooms, in the main building plus two or three outhouses. Rooms are large and clean. In the outhouses hot water can be a bit iffy, as can the steps. They are new so are still finding their feet. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

It has very good sized rooms and bathrooms but is very poor in service. Right from the time we checked in there were many issues. The bed linen in the room was not fresh and they made a big fuss to change it. The The internet service in the rooms is non-existent. The creamer provided with complimentary coffee in the... More

Hotel is located just beside the river, You can have great view of the river and the adjacent mountain.Room is spacious, common place is well designed. Moreover it is pretty close to the 'Tiger Nest'. Overall, experience is amusing. Will love to stay again. Only thing to care is Wi-Fi is weak in the room.

I stayed at Udumwara Resort twice on my trip to Bhutan. Once after landing in Paro and again for three nights before leaving to go back to the USA. I found the property beautiful. Someone definitely put a lot of thought into creating a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very large and all of the amenities such as huge tubs,... More

Extremely poorly managed. Was told no housekeeping after 8 in the evening. The hotel is build on the riverside and has big lawns which are very dirty . As a result the rooms are full of flies in the summer. No AC in temp of 34/36 degrees . Pathetic. wanted to speak to the Manager . was not available. In... More

Visited this resort in May 2016, the rooms were big and spacious with a small drawing area too. Apart from that, every thing at the resort is either old and worn out or under construction. The garden had more ditches than plants. The name plate of the resort had old clothes hanging on them. So, you can imagine how dead... More

Terrible hotel - never stayed in a hotel that lacked basics like 'house keeping'. The towels, water bottles, tea etc were not replaced in all the rooms the night that we stayed. The breakfast was nothing great with the buffet always cold/empty. The dinner was decent. Staff seemed pleasant but very lazy with no manager responsible for them. Strongly recommend... More
