Located thirty minutes from Paro International Airport, Naksel Boutique Hotel & SPA is a luxury retreat where the comforts of man and the presence of nature combine for a peaceful escape in the hills of Bhutan. Nestled on the edge of the national forest and the quiet Ngoba Village, Naksel derives its name from the Dzongka translation of 'Forest,' which is only fitting for this Himalayan sanctuary. The main lodge and surrounding cottages of Naksel rest on six acres of apple orchard, nearly 2700 meters above sea level. Each room, cottage and suite boasts unparalleled views of Mount Jumolhari, Taktsang Monastery, Sangachoekhor Monastery, and the Paro valley below. Elaborate hand-carved pillars and beautiful stonework exemplify the essence of Bhutan while tapered mud-brick walls provide insulation and restful silence. Leading Bhutan in energy efficiency, Naksel features LED lighting, highly efficient water heaters, and Swedish under floor heating systems preheated by solar panels. Main construction materials for Naksel are indigenous and locally purchased. Traditional windows, mud-bricks, framework and even furniture were locally crafted here in Ngoba Village, connecting Naksel to the surrounding forest. We offer the following room-categories: 1. Superior-room with two-single-size-beds (7 rooms) 2. Deluxe-rooms with 2 standard-size-beds with balcony (24 rooms) 3. Junior-Suites with 2 queen-size-beds. (5 rooms) 4. Executive-roof-top-suites with one king-size-bed (2 rooms)

Naksel hotel is set on the hillside couple of kilometers from Paro town. So first thing you need to know is that its a long walk to Paro unless you have transport. The hotel is on a hillside with lots of greenery around. Its really very pretty.

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to stay with us and for your feedback. For our guest's information, all our rooms are being fitted with extra sockets which will be completed in a few weeks' time. We apologize for the inconvenience it has caused. Our TV and fridge do have separate sockets but we do see how the amount of sockets in the room might be somewhat of a hassle for any guest. As for the bathroom, it would be helpful for us if you could tell us how some of the fixtures were inconvenient for you. All our bathtubs are very large. As for the meat, the only dish we serve that does have a noticeable amount of bones is the Roghan josh which we believe was served at the buffet during one night of your stay. We are sorry that our staff did not notice your discontentment with the food as we could have offered you the a la carte menu for a meal of your choice. Again, we thank you for staying with us and we hope you visit us again to find the food and rooms improved. It was a pleasure having you!

After a longish and bumpy road, you will find this lovely hotel on a hillside. The hotel has friendly and sophisticated service. Our room located in separate building and it was one of the biggest hotel room that I have ever had. There was stunning view to the other side of the v

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us and for your very encouraging review. It was a pleasure having you here. The road that Naksel has built starts only from our signboard till our gate (a total of 3 km). We chose to build this road for the benefit of the village that we are located in and it has benefited over 70 households. As for the road below, it is a government undertaking and we have no say in it. We have in the years, morphed into more of a community project because of where we're locate and the projects we have undertaken, which does come with its pros and cons. We hope you visit us again!!

As I've read through some of the reviews, I noticed that most of the negative comments have to do with the hotels location. And yes, it is off the main road and the road to the hotel is less than ideal. Luckily, we were on a tour so our driver knew exactly where he was going ot

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us. It was a pleasure having you at Naksel. Yes, our location is a little remote but for a very thought out reason. The prices at the our bar is based on the standard that hotels in Bhutan have. We hope you visit us again!

Hi can I stay here with my 2yr old kid? Do they provide breakfast complimentary and how about the room accommodation? Where I can visit from this hotel?
Naksel is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are large and the ones up on the hill have a great mountain view. There is a little golf cart shuttle that will pick you up and bring you to the main building. Breakfast is included and is buffet style. We stayed there when we visited Tiger’s Nest.
