So to start with , we had driven down from Thimpu to Paro , the entire drive was pretty good however the last 20 mins drive from the diversion till the property is pathetic. We had already informed the hotel that we are travelling with 3 infants , still they offered us twin bed rooms, when we requested for king... More

I had the most beautiful stay at Naksel Boutique Hotel. The views of the mountains are to die for as you have a cup of coffee or tea. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable. Staying here is an absolute treat!

It is a good resort nested between the lush green forest of Paro. I found the rooms to be small and stuffy, they don't really have double beds, either you have to join the two single or adjust with the small sized queen bed. the food at the restaurant was good. Staff was very courteous and warm. The best part... More

One of the best hotels I stayed. In terms of scenery and tranquillity. Service was good. The rooms were nice. The massage services were good, but alittle pricey. Don't expect great western foods in that hotel. After all you are in Bhutan and you are visiting their culture. The only part I dislike was the road towards the hotel was... More

Went there a few years ago, and loved our stay there. Rooms were beautiful, with amazing views. The drive to the hotel was very nice as well. Do not remember much about the food, although otherwise loved the food in Bhutan.

No double beds available for couples, only Queen size Beds. Two single beds joined to make a double bed. Small Rooms, with hardly any space for unpacking. Not very good view as well from the windows. Small bathroom, but temperature controlled shower. ...........

We (myself and my wife) chose Bhutan for our Honeymoon destination for its peacefulness and serenity. There was very less sightseeing planned. So we reserved most of our budget towards the hotel for our stay. It was quiet hard to choose as there were quite a few choices (Naksel, Le Meridian, Tashi Namgay). But we chose Naksel, as out of... We stayed in this hotel for two nights in June this year. It is a very nice property with a beautiful view of the hills. Rooms are good but the food is horrible and exorbitenty priced. Even the breakfast is far from ok. My advice to the guests is not to eat in the hotel as they will only be... More

To enjoy Paro, there is no better place than Naksel. Located at a height, away from the hustle bustle of the town, the resort is at a truly scenic location. The staff is extremely helpful and goes out of their way to cater to the guests comfort. We had an issue with our rooms at the time of check-in, but... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located thirty minutes from Paro International Airport, Naksel Boutique Hotel & SPA is a luxury retreat where the comforts of man and the presence of nature combine for a peaceful escape in the hills of Bhutan. Nestled on the edge of the national forest and the quiet Ngoba Village, Naksel derives its name from the Dzongka translation of 'Forest,' which is only fitting for this Himalayan sanctuary. The main lodge and surrounding cottages of Naksel rest on six acres of apple orchard, nearly 2700 meters above sea level. Each room, cottage and suite boasts unparalleled views of Mount Jumolhari, Taktsang Monastery, Sangachoekhor Monastery, and the Paro valley below. Elaborate hand-carved pillars and beautiful stonework exemplify the essence of Bhutan while tapered mud-brick walls provide insulation and restful silence. Leading Bhutan in energy efficiency, Naksel features LED lighting, highly efficient water heaters, and Swedish under floor heating systems preheated by solar panels. Main construction materials for Naksel are indigenous and locally purchased. Traditional windows, mud-bricks, framework and even furniture were locally crafted here in Ngoba Village, connecting Naksel to the surrounding forest. We offer the following room-categories: 1. Superior-room with two-single-size-beds (7 rooms) 2. Deluxe-rooms with 2 standard-size-beds with balcony (24 rooms) 3. Junior-Suites with 2 queen-size-beds. (5 rooms) 4. Executive-roof-top-suites with one king-size-bed (2 rooms) ... more   less
