Great spot nestled in the forest, Naksel means forest in Dzongkha, the language of the Bhutanese. Very comfortable bed and shower, large rooms, and good food. Loved how you can see the snow capped mountains and the Tiger's Nest right from your room!

Ok, expensive but worth it. You can see the Tigers nest from your room. Albeit small but it's there! Food delicious and one of the best massages I've had. I'll say again, expensive but worth it. Totally out of the way and off the beaten track. Treat yourself!!!

The rooms are very special with fantastic mountain view for the Bhutan. The hotel is located in hill with complete clam and peaceful. though hotel is very far from the city or any other accessibility may have little concern but never mind when you are in vacation you have to enjoy the resort amenities.

We stayed in this hotel after our visit to the "Tiger's Nest" Monastery. The Hotel consists of a main building with the actual rooms being in small 4 room chalets some distance away. It was a great room, very spacious with a bedroom, living area, and study area together with a private balcony with good views over the countryside. All... More

Pros:- 1. Fantastic views 2. Staff was quite welcoming. 3. Huge rooms. Cons:- 1. Huge mouse in the room at night. Only one housekeeping staff was present in the hotel who was managing the reception as well who tended to the mouse trap. 2. Food was above average. Still would recommend a stay there.

So to start with , we had driven down from Thimpu to Paro , the entire drive was pretty good however the last 20 mins drive from the diversion till the property is pathetic. We had already informed the hotel that we are travelling with 3 infants , still they offered us twin bed rooms, when we requested for king... More

I had the most beautiful stay at Naksel Boutique Hotel. The views of the mountains are to die for as you have a cup of coffee or tea. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable. Staying here is an absolute treat!

It is a good resort nested between the lush green forest of Paro. I found the rooms to be small and stuffy, they don't really have double beds, either you have to join the two single or adjust with the small sized queen bed. the food at the restaurant was good. Staff was very courteous and warm. The best part... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located thirty minutes from Paro International Airport, Naksel Boutique Hotel & SPA is a luxury retreat where the comforts of man and the presence of nature combine for a peaceful escape in the hills of Bhutan. Nestled on the edge of the national forest and the quiet Ngoba Village, Naksel derives its name from the Dzongka translation of 'Forest,' which is only fitting for this Himalayan sanctuary. The main lodge and surrounding cottages of Naksel rest on six acres of apple orchard, nearly 2700 meters above sea level. Each room, cottage and suite boasts unparalleled views of Mount Jumolhari, Taktsang Monastery, Sangachoekhor Monastery, and the Paro valley below. Elaborate hand-carved pillars and beautiful stonework exemplify the essence of Bhutan while tapered mud-brick walls provide insulation and restful silence. Leading Bhutan in energy efficiency, Naksel features LED lighting, highly efficient water heaters, and Swedish under floor heating systems preheated by solar panels. Main construction materials for Naksel are indigenous and locally purchased. Traditional windows, mud-bricks, framework and even furniture were locally crafted here in Ngoba Village, connecting Naksel to the surrounding forest. We offer the following room-categories: 1. Superior-room with two-single-size-beds (7 rooms) 2. Deluxe-rooms with 2 standard-size-beds with balcony (24 rooms) 3. Junior-Suites with 2 queen-size-beds. (5 rooms) 4. Executive-roof-top-suites with one king-size-bed (2 rooms) ... more   less
