We, a group of 6 friends, were in Naksel 3 days ago for 2 nights. I went by TripAdvisor reviews (which i always do as its most trustworthy). Its location in Paro is amazing.Rooms are welcoming with lots of space and warmth, comfortable bed and well equipped/spacious bathroom. But the best part of Naksel is its amazing Spa. We all... We stayed at the Naksel for three nights. Our room had magnificent views of the Tigers Nest. The room itself was lovely and we really appreciated the underfloor heating as it was really cold at night. The staff were attentive and helpful and the food in the restaurant was very good and varied. We had no complaints whatsoever and the... More

We stayed here two nights to hike to the tiger's nest. We enjoyed the hotel, the service was excellent, the food was good and the rooms were comfortable and clean. It has kind of a log cabin feel as everything is in wood but it is nice. We had a couples massage at the spa and it was very relaxing... More

Exceptionally attentive staff. The buildings housing the well appointed rooms are located up a steep walk. They do provide shuttle service to and from. We used that frequently. The room had a refrigerator, but it shared the same socket as did the TV. We asked housekeeping staff and were told we could alternative—TV or frig. At checkout when we mentioned... More

Dear guest, It was a pleasure having you stay with us here at Naksel. We have built the road which is black topped (3 kms) up to the hotel which was a rural development project. It has benefited over 70 households. Unfortunately, we were not given a hand in maintaining the road we built. We are now discussing the reconstruction... More

Stayed for couple of nights during my on going trip to Bhutan. Loved the property. Very polite, efficient and cooperative staff. Good food and excellent rooms. We chose a junior suite which was quite spacious and with all modern amenities and the best part that it was facing Mt. Jomolhari...

An ideal place to unwind and relax, away from the city. It is located high up in the mountains, with stunning views all around. A bit difficult to get around from here. Stay put for a couple of days and enjoy the spa treatments.

Beautiful location, up on a hill. You get a lovely view of the mountains as well as the sunrise and sunset. The approach to the hotel is bone-racking. Paro market is also quite near in case you want a meal out or for shopping, but not walking distance. The rooms are good, clean and service was alright. We stayed for 3... More

Dear Guest, It was a pleasure having you with us at Naksel. The road up to the hotel was an initiative Naksel took and the 3 km road has benefited over 70 households. Excellent property situated on the fringes of jungle. The path towards the resort is very narrow and in bad shape. But the resort itself is really good. You can see the Tiger's nest far away from the property. The room was well kept and maintained. The bed was not very comfortable. Heated floors is a nice touch. Service was nice.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located thirty minutes from Paro International Airport, Naksel Boutique Hotel & SPA is a luxury retreat where the comforts of man and the presence of nature combine for a peaceful escape in the hills of Bhutan. Nestled on the edge of the national forest and the quiet Ngoba Village, Naksel derives its name from the Dzongka translation of 'Forest,' which is only fitting for this Himalayan sanctuary. The main lodge and surrounding cottages of Naksel rest on six acres of apple orchard, nearly 2700 meters above sea level. Each room, cottage and suite boasts unparalleled views of Mount Jumolhari, Taktsang Monastery, Sangachoekhor Monastery, and the Paro valley below. Elaborate hand-carved pillars and beautiful stonework exemplify the essence of Bhutan while tapered mud-brick walls provide insulation and restful silence. Leading Bhutan in energy efficiency, Naksel features LED lighting, highly efficient water heaters, and Swedish under floor heating systems preheated by solar panels. Main construction materials for Naksel are indigenous and locally purchased. Traditional windows, mud-bricks, framework and even furniture were locally crafted here in Ngoba Village, connecting Naksel to the surrounding forest. We offer the following room-categories: 1. Superior-room with two-single-size-beds (7 rooms) 2. Deluxe-rooms with 2 standard-size-beds with balcony (24 rooms) 3. Junior-Suites with 2 queen-size-beds. (5 rooms) 4. Executive-roof-top-suites with one king-size-bed (2 rooms) ... more   less
