The room are very spacious for two people. We love the view from our window on the second floor.. feel likes we're in the woods! The food here is the best!!!! We stayed in Bhutan for a week and this is where we had the best food. It was variety and authentic!

This hotel is highly over rated. The best thing about the hotel is the excellent spa. Everything else is a disaster. Starting from food, they claim to serve chinese, Indian and Bhutanese but have not got the taste right on any of the above categories. Their service is slow and the staff is not very friendly. The rooms are small... More

Naksel is far from the center of Paro. The road to the hotel is narrow, long & quirky. However, it's worth. The hotel is in the top of the mountain. From its yard, you can see the Tiger's Nest far away. There's a telescope for guest to see it. The rooms are nice also. From my room, I can see... More

I stayed here for one night while i waited for my friend to get in town. Very nice and relaxed environment. The meals were very delicious. Would have been nice to have some heat if possible next time or a heavier. Blanket

But all of my worries gone when I checked in Naksel Boutique Hotel and SPA at the deep inside of a village in Paro and 2700 Meter from the sea level. The hotel is well hidden on a hillside not far away from Paro center. It is such a beautiful hotel that has both Bhutanese architecture and modern touch. It also has a bit of view to the Tiger's Nest. However, what we were impressed most is the hospitality and service from the staff. We were very well taken even though... More

I was there 1st time 2013, and found the hotel great. It still is: the rooms very spacious and clean, the view spectacular (specially when you get up early and can see the Jomolhari, one of Bhutan's 7,000 m-peaks), the staff friendly and the food good. The only downside is the price for consumptions. Whilst for a few soft drinks,... More

Dear Guest, We are honored by your return visit to our hotel and very pleased that you enjoyed our service, staff, and food. Great spot nestled in the forest, Naksel means forest in Dzongkha, the language of the Bhutanese. Very comfortable bed and shower, large rooms, and good food. Loved how you can see the snow capped mountains and the Tiger's Nest right from your room!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located thirty minutes from Paro International Airport, Naksel Boutique Hotel & SPA is a luxury retreat where the comforts of man and the presence of nature combine for a peaceful escape in the hills of Bhutan. Nestled on the edge of the national forest and the quiet Ngoba Village, Naksel derives its name from the Dzongka translation of 'Forest,' which is only fitting for this Himalayan sanctuary. The main lodge and surrounding cottages of Naksel rest on six acres of apple orchard, nearly 2700 meters above sea level. Each room, cottage and suite boasts unparalleled views of Mount Jumolhari, Taktsang Monastery, Sangachoekhor Monastery, and the Paro valley below. Elaborate hand-carved pillars and beautiful stonework exemplify the essence of Bhutan while tapered mud-brick walls provide insulation and restful silence. Leading Bhutan in energy efficiency, Naksel features LED lighting, highly efficient water heaters, and Swedish under floor heating systems preheated by solar panels. Main construction materials for Naksel are indigenous and locally purchased. Traditional windows, mud-bricks, framework and even furniture were locally crafted here in Ngoba Village, connecting Naksel to the surrounding forest. We offer the following room-categories: 1. Superior-room with two-single-size-beds (7 rooms) 2. Deluxe-rooms with 2 standard-size-beds with balcony (24 rooms) 3. Junior-Suites with 2 queen-size-beds. (5 rooms) 4. Executive-roof-top-suites with one king-size-bed (2 rooms) ... more   less
