Naksel they say means 'Forest'. Nestling on the gently sloping hillside, this accommodation consists of rooms and cottages designed for privacy and tranquility. We got there on a chill and rainy day, which added to the romance of the picturesque setting. Another place of perfect peace - and no wonder for most of Bhutan reflects such an environment The rooms...

Excellent Property. Starting from the Traditional Welcome they do, the room size with facilities & supplies , Meals they serve in the Restaurant , everything is well maintained and awesomely taken care by staffs with personalized service . Highly recommended . Slightly on the higher end but totally value for money when compared to what they offer.

Reasonable accommodation though wifi is slow and the cable tv was not functioning for 2 of the 3 days I was there with staff unable to advise when this would be accessible. The location is some distance from town up a very long and bumpy track/road not in keeping with the newness of the hotel itself. Due to the distance...

We stayed here two nights in November 2016. Excellent accommodation; fantastic view of the mountains from the room and from dining area balcony. BF was very good. Only minus point is it is away from the city centre and have to drive thru rough path away from the main road.

I was disappointed with NakSel, but suspect I would have had a different opinion had I been there for a shorter period of time. I was booked for 4 nights, but left after 2. It took us 45 minutes to get to NakSel from downtown Paro, much of which was spent driving up a rutted out road. I was surprised...

We were lucky to have stayed in this upmarket resort at the end of our 12 day trip to Bhutan. Luxurious appointments, excellent food and an amazing view of the second highest mountain in Bhutan! We enjoyed the comfy beds and pillows. The 'cottages' are architecturally gorgeous and have huge picture windows. As it was winter, we really appreciated the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located thirty minutes from Paro International Airport, Naksel Boutique Hotel & SPA is a luxury retreat where the comforts of man and the presence of nature combine for a peaceful escape in the hills of Bhutan. Nestled on the edge of the national forest and the quiet Ngoba Village, Naksel derives its name from the Dzongka translation of 'Forest,' which is only fitting for this Himalayan sanctuary. The main lodge and surrounding cottages of Naksel rest on six acres of apple orchard, nearly 2700 meters above sea level. Each room, cottage and suite boasts unparalleled views of Mount Jumolhari, Taktsang Monastery, Sangachoekhor Monastery, and the Paro valley below. Elaborate hand-carved pillars and beautiful stonework exemplify the essence of Bhutan while tapered mud-brick walls provide insulation and restful silence. Leading Bhutan in energy efficiency, Naksel features LED lighting, highly efficient water heaters, and Swedish under floor heating systems preheated by solar panels. Main construction materials for Naksel are indigenous and locally purchased. Traditional windows, mud-bricks, framework and even furniture were locally crafted here in Ngoba Village, connecting Naksel to the surrounding forest. We offer the following room-categories: 1. Superior-room with two-single-size-beds (7 rooms) 2. Deluxe-rooms with 2 standard-size-beds with balcony (24 rooms) 3. Junior-Suites with 2 queen-size-beds. (5 rooms) 4. Executive-roof-top-suites with one king-size-bed (2 rooms) ... more   less
