Don’t expect to get any rest at this DoubleTree. We booked a hotel room for 3 nights. Room 201, the East wing of the hotel, right next to the retail shops (Marshalls), and above their delivery dock and industrial trash compactor. The rooms were nice & clean. However, you will not be able to have a restful stay at all. Friday night, we were awakened at 3:30am, by a big rig truck, delivering or picking up something. Not sure if it was working for the hotel or the retail, but after this, it was not easy to fall asleep again. Song with this nuisance the doors below us (staff entrance) would open and be slammed non-stop for the next hour. Saturday morning we told the front desk staff about the issue. They said they would move us on the other side of the hotel, but they had to wait for guests to check out (which they assured us they would have) and they could hold a new double room for us. We told them we would be back later after our event, to get the room. Later that day, upon returning to the hotel around 4pm, we came back to the front desk, there was new shift working the front desk. They told us they did not have a new room for us, and that they were fully booked, and were “prioritizing large groups” and did not have a new room for us. Extremely disappointing! Nothing we could do. The next issue was Monday morning. Awakened again, by the hotels laundry delivery service truck at 6am!!!! Rolling his Containers into and out of the truck, using the load lift gate each time. The rooms should be made sound proof, with sound proof windows as well. The hotel should also have an agreement with the retail businesses to not disrupt hotel guests with their deliveries and use of the trash compactor in the middle of the night! Bottom line, the fact that guests could not have a restful nights stay at a hotel, is not good for a hotel! I mean, isn’t this the main purpose for hotels?! For guests to be able to sleep comfortably without disruption?! So beware of this HUGE issue if you decide to actually book a room with this DoubleTree Hilton Hotel.…
We enjoyed our stay, and although the restaurant & bar were not open due to Covid, the staff gave many suggestions for options nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great stay and we will be back!
At the venue for a wedding, with many out of town guests. Place was clean and rooms ample sized. The price for the use of the venue was very fair - considering COVID. The patio was 'just right' size for our small (60 people) gathering. Disappointments: Could not (Or maybe would not) put all the guests on the same floor despite reserving rooms MONTHS in advance. Breakfast buffet was so-so. Positives: Service - from nearly all the employees. Special shout out to wedding coordinator Emily B. who was AWESOME at knowing her job, doing her job and keeping everything positive. Went out of her way to right some mis-steps by others and to make sure everyone had a great time before, during and after the ceremony.
This place is a gem if you are thinking to get married in campbell. Emily, the wedding coordinator, did fantastic job on setting up everything for me and the wedding went smoothly. I was very nervous and stressed to get things ready, but she was a big help. She suggested many good ideas and the way she setup, it's beyond beautiful. I would recommend this place and Emily, if you are thinking to get married soon. The location was nice and the parking was convenient. Also, many of our guests mentioned that food was amazing. Thanks guy! We did it :) you guys are awesome.
One of the more frustrating aspects of hotel stays is inadequate lighting in the rooms. This Doubletree overcomes that with very ample lighting from both lamps and can lights in the ceiling. Lighting in the bathroom is also decent. The room (at least ours, a King room) felt roomy and spacious and was nicely appointed. There small builtin benches both next to the bed and across to room connected to the desk/refrigerator cabinet. The benches are not comfortable to sit on for any length of time but certainly are serviceable as places to sit to put shoes on or to set your luggage. There as a large occasional chair with ottoman in the room. It looks very inviting but is not very comfortable because when you sit in it you sink WAY down so you butt is lower than the ottoman. There are small tables next to the chair to set your coffee and book or other reading material - nice touch that is often overlooked. The desk chair is a chair - solid and nicely upholstered. It is not a standard desk chair with wheels and arms, but I don't think that should be an issue as it is supportive and the correct height for the desk. There are many nice "little" touches in the room. All of the drawers and doors are soft close, i.e. they don't slam shut. This is a true bonus not to hear other people's room doors slamming shut at O Dark Thirty in the morning. The AC system is relatively quiet and unobtrusive, that is it doesn't wake you up in the night. This being Silicone Valley I guess one should expect a bit of technology which we noticed in the bathroom. It is equipped with a motion sensing switch that turns on both a light and the fan. The interesting twist is that after about a minute the fan shuts off if it doesn't detect motion - so a tip is move a bit when you are sitting on the throne. The fan also does a nice job of keeping the mirror from fogging from the shower - the shower is spacious and nicely done I might add. Currently they offer a buffet breakfast in the onsite restaurant. The buffet is OK, not as much variety as you would get at say a Best Western. The staff are very professional and nice - good people. The restaurant was not open for dinner but they have signs that they will be resuming dinner service soon. I would also ding the hotel for not having a functional computer and printer to check in to flights and print boarding passes. The (lone) computer was non-functional for several days during our stay. Seems inexcusable in Silicone Valley.…
Our daughter recently got married near the DoubleTree at the Pruneyard in Campbell, CA. We reserved a block of about 30 rooms for our guests and we paid for about 15 rooms for our close family for a two-day stay. The people at the front desk were welcoming when we arrived, despite the time it took for me to check in for all of our rooms. The rooms were large and so nice and clean. They tried to keep our group together as much as they could. We had one of the suite rooms for the morning of the wedding and the entire bridal party was able to be there comfortably while we got our hair and makeup done. On the evening after the wedding, we had no where to go to wind down (some local places within walking distance were already closed), and the people at the front desk let us go into one of the conference rooms until 1 am, which was so nice of them! We also had a brunch at the hotel the morning after the wedding in which they set up the buffet and room for about 70 people. The food was great and it was a fun way to conclude the event and visit with everyone at a convenient location. After we got home, we saw that one of the rooms we had was charged at a higher rate than they said. After letting the hotel know, they were quick to make the change and give us a credit. (We had stayed at a hotel in southern California for another wedding and had an issue with one of the rooms being charged to the wrong person and it took 3 months to resolve.!) The DoubleTree staff were friendly, accommodating, and went above & beyond for us! We REALLY appreciate it and would highly recommend the hotel for any stay in the San Jose area. It was particularly good for our large wedding event!…
Wow ! This hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms have been recently remodeled. The staff was professional, punctual and accommodating for our 100+ family and friends for an event we had nearby. Tons of restaurant options within walking distance. A trail outside the hotel for those morning runs. Close proximity to SJC -15 min. Close proximity to the quaint town of Los Gatos-15 min. 10 out of 10 would stay here again for either business or vacation travel. The best double tree experience I’ve ever had.
I can not say enough good things about our stay at the Double Tree. We got married in the area, and had a room block at the double tree. They were so incredibly accommodating to all of our crazy needs. It’s in a super cute location, it was so easy to walk to Trader Joe’s and had easy access to tons of restaurants. The staff went above and beyond for us. Janeen Bond and Jonathan Mecias worked with us and our planner to help set up our room blocks and our farewell brunch. They were both so helpful and communicative! They made everything so easy for us! The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The junior suite is huge. Photos don’t do it justice!! I had an 8 person bridal party plus moms, makeup and hair for me, and photographers and we easily fit everyone in the room to get ready. On our wedding night, things in the area close early. One bar that was a 2min walk away had its hours posted until midnight and we were planning to go there after the wedding. When a couple of us got there the bar was closed and it was about 10:30pm, leaving about 30 drunk loud wedding attendees in the lobby trying to research what in the area was open still that we could Uber to. Marlon the manager, came up to us and instead of treating us like a nuisance and asking us to leave, treated us with so much kindness and respect and offered us a conference room that was away from guest rooms. He told us we could stay in there until 1am but that we would need to clear out after that. I mean what an A+ example of kind, respectful and helpful management. I am so grateful to everyone here who helped make our stay so perfect. I am also SO thankful we chose the double tree as our hotel for our room block/farewell brunch/everything. Truly the top customer service.…
I have stayed at the Double Tree Campbell hotel over 30 days through out this year, I would not stay any where else. The staff is great, management is very accommodating, very kind . The restaurant has a great breakfast. It's always clean and well kept, inside and out, I feel very safe here. I love that it is located near shops and many restaurants.
