The room was claustrophobic with the window facing a wall. Front desk staff showed inflexibility and bad attitude when I asked for a different room. Not a nice way to treat an honor member. I was supposed to stay two nights but left in the morning after the first night and booked another room at Marriott next door.
We enjoyed our stay, and although the restaurant & bar were not open due to Covid, the staff gave many suggestions for options nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great stay and we will be back!
Front desk under trained and over staffed. One clerk was doing Macrame tied off to her check in computer. Breakfast was a joke at $20 per person. It still would have been a joke if free. Decor in the room very outdated. Carpet in the room was disgusting.. stains near bed and desk. I would get black feet from walking on the carpet after exiting the shower.
On arrival we were cheerfully greeted at the door by Rana who was just arriving on shift. She then was very helpful and patient at the front desk, making sure that we got the perfect room for our needs. A fine hotel and they have some very attractive weekend rates. The pool is not large but it is warm enough to swim in, in October. Being in the Pruneyard center was actually great, with a vibrant evening scene. Hotel is very close to the Los Gatos Creek trail. Great walk, head upstream (west).
Let me set the scene. My husband and I came out to CA in May of 2021. We landed in Oakland and made our way up the coast over 4 days and flew out of Seattle. We didn’t premake hotel reservations. We drove until we were tired and booked a room through the Hilton App. It worked great. Now it’s November of 2022. We planned the same sort of trip with our 3 teenagers. It’s tricky with 5 so we had to make some of the reservations ahead of time but the rest we’ve made since we’ve been here. Hampton inn and suites is great, Embassy Suites is great. Last night we booked a room at this Doubletree through the app. We clearly stated that we had 2 adults and 3 kids. The app requires we give the ages of the kids 16, 15 and 13. When a hotel doesn’t have enough room it usually clearly states that the room will not accommodate 5 people. We booked the room and after driving 5+ hours we arrive to find the room only has 2 beds and no sofa bed. So I went to the desk and asked if there was a room with a sofa bed. I was told no and there are no rollaway beds, and that they would send up a mattress pad. In my mind I heard mattress and I thought a mattress from a sofa bed. No they sent a mattress pad to sleep on a concrete floor. I had to ask for another mattress pad and I had to ask that they would bring up sheets for it. My 15 year old son is pretty chill so he’s just rolling with it. But come on Doubletree. Do better. Change the info in the app to say the room only sleeps 4. We would have booked elsewhere if only we had known. We are very disappointed!!!…
Stayed in a fresh, streamlined modern King with fantastic walk-in shower and glorious 71 degree air conditioning that wasn't too loud. Hilton beds are the best and the cool clean percale sheets were heaven. I stayed for 2 days of chill comfort and had room service deliver a nice breakfast. This hotel is so comfortable you don't want to leave even tho there's many shops and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend
It is located in a very safe and convenient place. The staff is nice. Our family has been enjoying the swimming pool but the hot tub has been out of order since we got here wendsday. We have 4 more days to stay, hopefully they will fix it before our checkout. (I'm back to my hometown and they never fixed the hot tub..) One bottled water per person when we checked in after that I was told that I need to purchase as a gold member plus stayed there for 8days. Trader joe's is right around the corner so we just got it from there. There is laundry service that is cost ALOT. 4 dollars for a pair of socks. There are many Wash and Fold Laundromat close by hotel so we used them instead.
Two days here were a delightful sanctuary stay! Very clean, comfortable and relaxing experience! The weather outside was 109 degrees when we checked in so let me tell you that the AC in the room became my new best friend! Agent at the desk Sailed made our stay a wonderful experience! Very helpful and cheerful, I love seeing team members love what they do! The room was very comfortable, the restaurant has delightful bites and there's even a convenient little shop adjacent from the lobby with a lot of good snacks and wines! This whole experience was wonderful, this is the second time we visit, we try to make out here once a year because Doubletree Pruneyard NEVER disappoints! Kudos to the entire team! Oh yeah, thank you for the delicious signature Cookies!
For the price you're paying, you would expect a top-notch experience. Not the case here. We came here on a staycation and were excited to use their pool/hot tub, only to find out that the pool was freezing and the hot tub was broken. The TV was outdated and had no streaming apps like Netflix or Hulu. Our keys only worked half the time, and we were forced out of our rooms at 2 AM because of a fire alarm. The cherry on top of our experience was saving food in our fridge before checking out, only to come back from brunch to find our food thrown away and our room in the process of being cleaned.
Don’t expect to get any rest at this DoubleTree. We booked a hotel room for 3 nights. Room 201, the East wing of the hotel, right next to the retail shops (Marshalls), and above their delivery dock and industrial trash compactor. The rooms were nice & clean. However, you will not be able to have a restful stay at all. Friday night, we were awakened at 3:30am, by a big rig truck, delivering or picking up something. Not sure if it was working for the hotel or the retail, but after this, it was not easy to fall asleep again. Song with this nuisance the doors below us (staff entrance) would open and be slammed non-stop for the next hour. Saturday morning we told the front desk staff about the issue. They said they would move us on the other side of the hotel, but they had to wait for guests to check out (which they assured us they would have) and they could hold a new double room for us. We told them we would be back later after our event, to get the room. Later that day, upon returning to the hotel around 4pm, we came back to the front desk, there was new shift working the front desk. They told us they did not have a new room for us, and that they were fully booked, and were “prioritizing large groups” and did not have a new room for us. Extremely disappointing! Nothing we could do. The next issue was Monday morning. Awakened again, by the hotels laundry delivery service truck at 6am!!!! Rolling his Containers into and out of the truck, using the load lift gate each time. The rooms should be made sound proof, with sound proof windows as well. The hotel should also have an agreement with the retail businesses to not disrupt hotel guests with their deliveries and use of the trash compactor in the middle of the night! Bottom line, the fact that guests could not have a restful nights stay at a hotel, is not good for a hotel! I mean, isn’t this the main purpose for hotels?! For guests to be able to sleep comfortably without disruption?! So beware of this HUGE issue if you decide to actually book a room with this DoubleTree Hilton Hotel.…
