This is for the river tubing only. My children are strong swimmers, and we have all rafted Class 2 and 3 rapids before. We all surf, paddle board, and raft in the Pacific and in the Sierra Nevada. The river tubing was marketed as class 2 and 3. The day we were there they were Class 3 and 4. The...

This little resort is very close to Liberia, and can be reached in under 45 minutes on paved roads from the Liberia airport. It comprises ~50 rooms in long, one-storey buildings loosely arranged around an open green area. There is a small but nice, secluded feeling swimming pool. There is one restaurant on site that is open for 3 meals...

What a beautiful hotel tucked in a beautiful location with many fun things to do. Don't skip the thermal springs, absolutely wonderful! I will be back again for sure. Food was very good and the variety was plentiful.

This hotel is in one of the national parks in Costa Rica. We where there for two days of adventures. The rooms are basic but comfortable, the food we thought was expensive and not to our taste but we were there for a reason. The tours horse riding brilliant horses were so well behaved could have gone on for a...

Shared a wall with a Costa Rica couple. They were quiet and well behaved. Good location to access the national park! However... Why did I not read between the lines and see this was a Disneyland like zoo. Not for me at all. Required to wear a bracelet? Why? I forfeited one of our nights and left one day early....

Stayed here two nights over Christmas and were relegated to two rooms adjacent to the horse stable, which becomes active and loud before dawn. We could spit on the horses from our rooms, which were comfortable and clean (the rooms that is), but as others have said, come with paper thin walls. Unless you like sleeping with horses and your...

We visited with the family (horse enthusiasts) and had a super time here. The cowboy for a day tour was a super feature. We literally spent most of the day in the saddle on beautiful trails on the property, navigating little streams and narrow single tracks but also racing trough large open spaces. We saw monkeys, ant eaters, birds and...

We stayed here as a family of four ( kids aged 8 & 10) whilst driving across Costa Rica in Dec 2017. This is definitely a place to stay and be active. It is not a chill out by the pool hotel- the pool is small, cold and shady, somewhere to have a quick cool off after an activity. It...

It is a WORKING ranch as well as a hotel. It is isolated so once there you are a captured audience, there is plenty to do but at a cost! We had a good clean room and found the staff friendly and helpful if you ASKED the right questions.. We was not told about the free bus service but over...
