As others stated, this is an older property, but the grounds and outside are clean and in good repair. My wife and I stayed here while attending a wedding in the area. While the buildings are older, the rooms themselves appear to have been updated...More
This is an older property. It's been different names over the years. It's currently part of the Quality Inn family.
If you can't tolerate old motel properties this is not the place for you. Stay at the hotels in Folsom.

We stayed here a few night to visit family and attend a wedding. We arrived well past midnight, but received a warm welcome from Vickie. The bed is probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, and has feather pillows. The room...More
This hotel was easy to find. Priced well for its location. The room was clean. Had I cooktop in the room, if a guy needed to cook he could. They have a pan and silverware, which surprised me. Two thumbs up great stay.
Provides a reasonably clean and comfortable space for an overnight stay - Would hesitate to stay for more than a day.

The distance from hotel to center of Placerville is 11 miles according to mapquest. However Placerville is a larger town. My last trip, I felt I was five miles away as it took me 10 minutes or less with traffic lights in between to get to the hotel from the old courthouse in Placerville near Diamon Springs. Taking Hwy 50 which is the main drag, it was not a long trip.
Side note: there is a grocery, shopping and a Dollar Tree practically across the street from this hotel so its not a bad location for convenience sake.

This is a two story motel with all rooms entered from the outside. I can't answer about the handicapped rooms for sure, but I have to think they would have them on the first floor. Best bet is to call the hotel and ask.
Are you sure you want to delete this answer?
"I suggest ground floor. Positives are that you don't have to lug luggage upstairs."
