Reviewing during stay. First time here. In general, I find that every hotel I stay at in Cambria has housekeeping issues. Which always makes me nervous during Covid. If they are overlooking obvious cleaning issues how are they handling the “detailed” cleaning and sanitation advertised. I think they are not. That being said, I am still here and while I had to call housekeeping back twice and point out the obvious (see pics), the property itself is nice. We are in a jr. suite and can currently hear every footstep/stomp in the room above. However our room is a good size. The breakfast is a nice perk with a polite wait staff, working hard to serve outdoors. Meanwhile the front desk has been less helpful, mis-informed and unapologetic (on 3 different encounters). On the fence about staying here again, there are so many options. And they seem busy enough that they really don’t care.

It was the perfect place for a romantic rendezvous with an old friend. Misty cool weather surrounded by pine forest makes and an in room fireplace make for a very cozy and comfortable getaway. The grounds are gorgeous and service excellent. I only gave it a 4 because the room was a bit bland & outdated, though perfectly clean. And, there were really no amenities due to Covid. The tented area for breakfast was organized well, but of course, limited selection. But given the circumstances, it was fine. We'll be back. It's a lovely place, and the town of Cambria is delightful. The rates were reasonable off season. I recommend highly!

Very nice property, the Gardens are beautiful and location is great. The wait time for the breakfast is pretty bad currently. Even to just pick up food to take back to the room is 30 minutes plus, there needs to be an additional food station.

As always, we were not disappointed. Top quality service, adapted for the pandemic. We felt quite safe and were impressed by the inventive ways the staff was able to still give the same service and wonderful food.

An outstanding hotel in a lovely forest setting, convenient to the town and nearby sites. Lovely bungalows with fireplaces (request one if you'd prefer that to a room in the main building), excellent service from very friendly and helpful staff. Also, an excellent value for what you're getting. Can't wait to return!
