The owners were very helpful in recommending activities in the Cambria area. However, the room itself, whose only entrance is through the bathroom, was very tired and cluttered with miscellaneous tchotchkes which were of no use. The room was accessed down a flight of poorly maintained steps. The yard or garden area was cluttered and poorly maintained.

We welcomed Peter and Janet from Arizona to Her Castle and in the four days they stayed with us we were NOT made aware of any issues with our rooms or grounds. Had they brought them up we would have somehow made amends (even offered a full refund). We always strive to make our customers completely happy as our other... More

The B and B was very easy to find - always an advantage for strangers. When we got inside we were not disappointed. Everything was immaculate, there were some lovely snacks, including a bottle of wine, and the hosts were very welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the room was very well equipped. Special mention must be made of the... More

Entertaining & welcoming hosts. Great homemade appetizers on arrival that included wine. The homemade breakfast, especially the French toast was to die for. The room was very comfortable and had every amenity you could imagine. It was one of the very few B&B's that allowed one night stay.

We spent four nights at Her Castle B&B over Memorial Day weekend. Words that come to mind: charming, comfortable, cozy, quiet, delightful hosts, delicious breakfasts, great coffee, in room snacks delivered upon arrival, PLUS a wonderful bottle of wine. Eleanor and Bill try to anticipate their guests every need to make their stay pleasant. They could not have been more... More

We stayed three nights in Her Castle B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Eleanor and Bill are excellent hosts. The room was very clean and well furnished with little extras like things to nibble on, its own fridge and microwave, robe, slippers, etc. etc! The breakfast will keep you going for most of the day--and very tasty. We highly recommend it.

Her Castle B&B sets a very high standard for their guests. Eleanor was a warm, welcoming hostess and she anticipates every imaginable detail one could want. We were welcomed upon arrival with hors d'oeuvres and a bottle of wine. Our room was stocked with fresh flowers, bottled water, snacks, teas and coffee. The bed was so comfortable with lovely linens.... More

We picked this b&b based on the reviews. At first, we were a little concerned because the rooms are in the personal residence of the innkeeper/owners. However, the well appointed rooms have a private entrance and the owners were above and beyond accommodating. Eleanor is an amazing hostess and cook and Bill has lived such an interesting entrepreneurial Eco-oriented life,... More

As others have described, Her Castle Homestay is everything we want in a bed & breakfast. Eleanor & Bill are wonderful hosts & tried to fill our every need. The breakfasts are fabulous. We stayed in the queen room. It was very spacious & had a lovely outdoor patio. Because of the drought, the Seaveys provide bottled water for our... More

This is, by far, one of the best equipped b&b type stays we have ever experienced. Eleanor and Bill are consummate hosts, doing everything to make us happy and comfortable. The king room, where we stayed, was very roomy, quiet and had EVERY thoughtful amenity you can imagine including some things that you never even thought of. A welcome bottle... More
