Though it is described as on the beach, it is actually across the street from the beach. Other than that, it was perfect. Charming rooms with a lovely decor. Each room has a fireplace which is necessary because it gets chilly at night. Very accommodating staff. Loved the free bikes that we used to pedal to the little town which has charming shops and eateries. Excellent seafood restaurant is two doors down. The grab and go breakfast was a step above, with amazing bakery fresh muffins and cakes. I would not hesitate to go back there. Very enjoyable visit. Highly recommend it.

My daughter and I had a great time at the Cambria Beach Lodge. It was a sunny, cool day in Cambria. We hopped on the bikes and got an idea of the area. Bob and Tom gave us a great dinner recommendation. The beds were super comfortable! I would definitely stay there again!

There is so much to love about the Cambria Beach Lodge! And only a few minor things I would add to make it a full 5 star review. Let’s start with the pros: 1. Location is GREAT! Right across the street from the beach and boardwalk. My husband and I jogged everyday along the boardwalk. We also walked to town for shopping, meals and dinner (less than 1mi). 2. It is clean and stylish. It lived up to the pictures. Great bed, great shower and bathroom. Loved having breakfast in the lobby. 3. The staff was great. Friendly and helpful. 4. The breakfast and coffee was a nice touch. Here are my couple of suggestions to the lodge (not really cons, these are what would make it a 5): Add a coffee maker, an iron and maybe a mini fridge. Also, add some sheer curtains under the blackout drapes for those times when you’d like some natural light but still have the room be private. Things that didn’t really matter to us but might to you as a future visitor... the rooms are pretty small. Mostly meant for sleeping and not hanging out. Most (except 2) of the rooms face the parking lot, which means your main window lacks privacy if the curtains are open. We still felt that for the price we really liked this place (and we are pretty picky). We would come back. However, if you are looking for larger, more private, and ocean view rooms you may need to book somewhere else. There does seem to be two rooms that may offer this, but we didn’t see the inside of those. Happy travels!

I booked a two night stay at this hotel the first weekend of June, Despite having reserved a room with two queen beds and fireplace, Bob "Roberto" refused to honor the reservation. He put us in Room 15, with no fireplace. Thankfully, Rebecca had us moved to Room 19, which had a fireplace. Sadly, Room 19 had stained sheets on my bed. Therefore, I returned to the front desk to let Bob know about the sheets. Bob looked at me as if to say "what do you want me to do about it?" Bob advised me that the cleaning staff had left for the day. Eventually, he tracked down two housekeepers who came to see the sheets. They were very nice. They advised me that stained sheets were not normal and they promptly changed the sheets. I must say, the bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well. Remote work was impossible due to extremely poor/non-existent wi-fi. Because of that, we only stayed one night. The shower gel container in our room was empty. So we showered in the morning with just water and no soap. Geeez! Bob was very unpleasant. Rebecca is awesome!

Dear Cammie, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We're glad you slept well in our comfortable beds. However, please accept our sincere apology for aspects of your visit that didn't meet your expectations. We also regret that poor Wi-Fi prevented you from working remotely and caused you to cut your stay short. Your comments will aid us in improving the quality of our service and accommodations. That being said, it's good to know that certain team members assisted you with resolving issues with your room and reservations. We value your thoughtful input and hope for another chance to deliver a stay that lives up to the great potential you see in our property.

My daughter and I stayed 2 days in the double queen with fireplace. Came back to the motel on our second day to find them putting new mattresses in the rooms. Best night sleep on that new mattress. This place has everything you could ask for. Cute room with 60's beach colors. Solid surface floors and large walk in shower. Fireplace put out some serious heat. Across the street direct beach access and the Moonstone Beach trail. They have bikes that are super fun to ride with easy gearing. And last but not least, a rooftop patio to watch the sunset while sipping a glass of wine and listening to the right mood music on the outdoor speakers. We loved everything about this place and are planning to come back.
