We had an ocean front room. It was lovely having the patio door open with the ocean breeze and sound of the waves. We've stayed at one of their other hotels, Blue Dolphin Inn, which I prefer. However, this was a great place as well.

Don't know direction, but it was a patio overlooking the ocean and Moonstone Blvd. It was at the ocean end of the building. Patio has a table,2 chairs and a face around it.

The water is very inviting, but very cold so generally most people aren't interested in swimming. Water activities like surfing and kayaking are prevalent along this part of the coast...but even the surfers wear wetsuits.
