Another enjoyable stay. I always feel that getting repeat guests says a lot. It had been a couple of years since I’d been to the area. I am happy to report that the staff were all as friendly and helpful as during previous stays here - from the front desk, housekeeping, and management. If traveling with a dog, I highly recommend contacting Bella Capri directly to be sure you are aware of their dog policy, dog fees & deposit. Other reviews I read sounded like guests weren’t aware ahead of arrival. I travel with a small dog and have a specific room I like. I was able to request and get that room. It’s a small room with full-sized bed, and perfect when I’m traveling with my small dog. The room has everything we need including a small fridge and microwave. It’s clean and the hotel has old-style charm. The location is safe, and enjoyable for walking my dog both in the early morning and evening. I appreciate that Bella Capri is dog friendly. For those of you who are traveling with a dog, please be sure to read and abide by the Inn’s pet policies so that they will remain dog friendly! I personally go beyond in assuring that I leave my room in great condition … so that no one would even know that I’d traveled with a dog. I bring an extra, clean blanket from home to drape on any furniture my dog might get on, plus he wears a full-body slinky (thin dog PJs) to assure we don’t leave any extra dog hair behind. He’s never left unattended in the room, either. Other precautions to consider … if you think your dog could possibly have a potty accident, use a belly band/dog diaper. Keep in mind a barking dog may disturb other guests (leaving a dog unattended, you have no idea if it’s barking). Thanks again to all Bella Capri staff for another nice stay. Note: this is a quiet hotel that IMO is best for quiet adults/couples. Sorry, photos were taken upon check out after my stay … forgot to take photos on arrival.…
What a pleasant surprise! They say this is a 2 star but it's a charming little place in a great location. It was only me so I had the I queen bed room. It was tiny but, the bedding was very nice, the lights were all updated.Good size tv. Cute flowers on the railing. The maintenance on this place is better than I have probably ever seen. Grant, in the office, was polite and super nice. I will be staying there again for sure! 100%
Really a nice place to stay right in the center of town. You get to park in the center courtyard and climb the narrow stairway. It felt like being back in the old Camarillo. The room was fresh, clean and comfortable. We had to print something on the hotel printer. The staff was extremely helpful transfering a document from our laptop to their system so we could print it.
4 adults and 2 young children in a 3 bed (two big queen and a king size) room. Clean beds. Clean bathroom. Fridge in room. And a balcony too. Slept really well. No noise at all. Pleasant reception at both check in and check out. $173 No breakfast room only. Was clean and would stay again. No complaints.
The Inn is located in the old town of Camarillo, with walking distance to some restaurants when you are tired of shopping at the outlet. The room was clean, nothing fancy, but had what you wants for a room. If you have trouble walking stairs ask for a room at the first level, the stair is quite steep. There was a breakfast and lunch plance ajactent to the Inn, but ome of the staff were quite rude to us and did not want to setve us other than take ot, so we ended up not going there at all.
Although this hotel was very clean and the staff friendly we were not impressed with the room itself. We booked a standard queen room. The headboard attached to the wall was queen size but the mattress was a full size. The bathroom was very small with little room to move around. The water in the sink was hot, but the water in the shower was luke warm. We would not stay here again.
The hotel, I think, is old, but clean so if you just need a room for the night, it is sufficient and the rate is reasonable. But if you are a big person, beware because the shower is very small. The room has one queen size bed, with a fridge, microwave and t.v. There was no free breakfast but the hotel has a cafe. However, the cafe does not open till 8am on Sundays which is a hassle since we needed to leave early. There is parking but on first come, first serve basis so you can end up parking on the street.
Stayed here last night on route from Vegas to Monterrey, as a half way stop. Checked in quick easy plenty of parking. Had no plug in the very very small shower room sink. Not the end of the world but a needed a shave. Went to reception sorry that room doesn’t have one was the reply. Astonishingly he suggested there may be somewhere in the town where I could get one !!! But I need a shave he said I’ll check the other empty room but that’s an upgrade and it will cost ! That didn’t have a plug either, never mind I rammed a flannel in the hole to make do. They came across with a free breakfast. So bring your own plug if your coming. Perhaps you should fix the sinks I’m sure it would help paying customers feel your doing your bit for us after all said and done. Perhaps next time your staying in the area try Ventura the next town along. …
While the room was small, and perhaps the bathroom smaller yet, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was hot and complete and served promptly. The promenade overlooking Ventura Blvd. was a comfortable gathering place to relax. Lots of places to shop and eat within walking distance, which is a nice plus.
The hotel is clean, quite and has a lovely location. I had stayed there before and booked another visit. Checked in on Saturday, March 31 for a 1 night stay. Clerk took 20 to 30 minutes to complete check in process, I had a reservation. We got into our room and went for dinner. After dinner we went back to room and left again for an event at Channel Island University. Upon our return, we discovered that the key we had was not programed correctly. We could not get into our room. We called "Emergency number" listed on hotel site, office door and key card envelope. Got no answer. I called several times. No answer and no reply to message. I has hotel key they'd provided. I followed their instructions and GOT NO REPLY OR HELP. I had to drive home. Office supposedly opens at 8:00 AM. NOBODY CALLED me the following morning. I drove back and asked why? Their reply "I am very sorry. I am happy to refund the cost of your room." Be careful.. Check both your hotel keys!!!!…
