Loved the property and the pool and proximity to town. The staff was wonderful and we met some other nice guests with kids, too. We stayed in the Camper king and the camper bed was comfortable for what it was. Loved the pour over coffee in the morning with real creamer. Thank you for the snacks and waters. We also used the fridge for our leftovers. The only criticism I have is that the room could have really used at least one more electrical outlet in the camper side, 4 more towel hooks or bars, and one full length or vanity mirror in any other part, in addition to the bathroom.
We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Napa Valley. I fell in love with Calistoga and this property. First plus, you can walk into town! We walked to dinner each night. Our room was cute, the coffee and snacks was an added plus. Enjoyed the t-shirt robe on may way to some hot tub time.In addition, there were 2 heated pools.Bicycles for use, s'mores at night & a restaurant & spa on site. Will totally stay here again when we come back to visit.
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. The service was on point, the grounds were well kept and pleasant, the beds very comfortable. The main issue I had was the room decor in ours was geared toward a younger person. We stayed in the "camper room"and felt it was a bit cheesy. There is no vanity at all so no place for the 3 people in the room to put toiletries, makeup etc which left us feeling a bit scattered. The shower/bathroom was also a bit strange. The sunken shower came off as uninviting. We will definitely be back but will want to stay in the vista rooms with a different layout. All staff was so accommodating and friendly and quick to respond. Overall lovely. Thank you
This has become our family’s go to place to stay for night or two whenever we decide to escape to the Napa valley. We love it! Our kid loves it. Overall, a great family friendly stay. Service is amazing, and we love the new restaurant.
Our stay was amazing We stayed only one night but the rooms and the pools were great. The pools are great temperature and water was super healing The restaurant steak was beyond! Amazing. Will definitely be returning.
This was our first time at this motel- yes, motel not hotel. There was an attempt to put lipstick on a pig, it just needs way more lipstick. The common areas and pool are just fine, but the rooms - though spacious - are dated and rough around the edges. The heat/AC was far too noisy to use, the bathroom is not updated, and the linoleum front room really needs a full redo. There are far better places to stay around Napa in this price range.
The girl that works at the front desk was really rude and made the experience of staying at this location very unpleasant. This person lacks of customer service and people skills. When I went to ask for coffee in the morning, she made me feel like I was in the wrong for refusing it the day before.
We had the worst possible room, right above the restaurant and pool area. Our first night there was a really loud party in the pool area down below us that went really late....well past the 10pm quiet hour, till around 2am. We tried calling the front desk around midnight to complain, however no one staffs the front desk after 11pm so nothing was done. We actually saw the security guard walking around down in the area, clearly not caring. The room had no feeling of privacy whatsoever...you open up the shades and there is 40 people partying right outside of it. I have no doubt most of the rooms (especially the ones on the first floor) are far enough away to avoid the noise. We are all for having a good time, but 2am is too late. The second night the restaurant staff was blasting loud music which reverberated right into our room. That lasted until about midnight, not nearly as bad as the night before but still annoying after a long day of wine tasting. Maybe advertise that you are sort of a party place, at least would be prepared for it! I was in contact via text with someone at times during the stay. I was asked how things were going and I responded with what happened the night before...no response. Later, I was asked again how the stay was going on a scale on 1-10...I said 1 and then finally got a response. They said they would credit us our resort fee, which is really nothing when you are paying over $400/night. …
Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa Calistoga Best vacation ever 835106592 Oh my goodness. How am I ever going to summarize the most amazing 24 hours since Covid? My wife is a chef & I’m a dog trainer. Ever since Covid, we seem to be in a rut. We work super hard with very little to look forward to. We have tried to visit Calistoga Motor Lodge, but variants always got in the way. We finally decided to bite the bullet and do a Sunday overnight on Easter. From the minute I got the text the morning of our trip- I felt cared for and nurtured for every aspect of our vacation. I did have a couple last minute questions, and I received instant clarity and communication. Based on all the details about what the property had to offer, I made the last minute decision not to include our dog. I paid double to secure a last minute reservation with the dog sitter, and it was worth EVERY PENNY. What did I do while I was there? Our 24 hours included the following: AMAZING HOT HIMALAYAN massages with Sue and Stephanie. Our only regret? That we did 60 minutes, not 90 minutes. The spa was clean and comfortable. Just right. Not too fancy, it felt special, every detail was great- down to the graphics. It was updated and modern. Check in for our room was seamless, and I even got some Easter candy. We also learned about the Fleetwood happy hour. By then, we were HANGRY. We had a lovely cocktail & snacks -for a super reasonable price. We got dinner off site, which we regret. We will totally do Fleetwood next time. We took a disco nap and headed back to the pools. SO SPECIAL!!! We had the most wonderful time chatting with a variety of people that evening, while we rotated among the 3 pools. We had wonderful coincidences, I helped a boy with his swimming, and we gave Italy tips to a couple who plan to go this summer for the first time. I cannot emphasize enough how lovely those 2 hours were. It’s something I’ve missed since Covid. We clearly felt “collective effervescence.” We read about this term in the NYTIMES- look it up! Side note: I grew up going to the East Coast for beach experiences. This entire night was like a 2022 updated polished version of my childhood. I was so happy and content. As we walked back to our room, I turned to my wife and said the only thing that’s missing is a snack bar. That’s when I realized the lobby was still open, and they had a wonderful selection of snacks and drinks, along with a cheerful staff member, who was happy to joke with us. We came back to our room and had a spontaneous dance party- since we didn’t have to worry about the downstairs neighbors we have at home. We also loved the rainforest shower & bath products. We slept like babies in our super comfy bed. We had a yummy takeout breakfast from Sam’s general store and spent the rest of the morning in the pool. Checkout was seamless. And we are planning our next vacation….. Dear CML- Thank you for bringing something I so desperately needed. You combined everything I’ve appreciated in my life in one night- food, fun, water, people and shared experiences. I don’t know how else to thank you, besides putting my gratitude in writing… Please thank every single member of your wonderful staff —they treated us with kindness and respect. Most importantly- you saved me from burnout.…
The quality of the room for the price $400+ was very average. Light in the bathroom was broken…no coffee…limited towels. No room service . On site restaurant had limited menu ..$$$ for a mediocre pizza . Overall would not recommend
