I have been going to Calistoga for decades and always passed over Dr. Wilkinson's since it looked, well, boring. That is no longer the case after the recent renovation playing up its retro era in a big way. I stayed over night recently with a friend. We enjoyed all 3 mineral pools although we wished the warmer outside pool was even warmer because it was inconvenient with Covid restrictions in place to get to and from the inside warmest pool. The staff were very helpful and there were plenty of towels at the pools....something easy to pull off and yet not all resorts are generous with towels for some reason. Also conveniently located bathrooms. And it is great to have a coffee bar/lunch cafe right on the property (pretty expensive, though). The room was comfortable although dark. The bed and linens were wonderful, and we appreciated the small fridge and tea kettle in the room. We had an end room which had significant road noise. Speaking of noise, even though we were there on a Sunday night and not that many other guests, it may be the new branding is attracting a younger crowd who are a little boisterous and the choice of piped in music contributes to this. All in all, the new Dr. Wilkinson's is a great addition to the Calistoga spa scene.

Thank you for our wonderful stay! We enjoyed all the geothermal pools! It was nice to swim outside. The pool temperature was perfect, even though it was windy outside. It was nice to have one of the pools inside. Room are very quiet and comfortable. The beds are very comfy. Very good quality linens, robes, towels. Mini refrigerator, coffee machine, unusually good quality hairdryer. Free WiFi and even Tesla charger outside on the parking lot! My mom forgot her makeup magnified mirror and Nick on reception found one and got it delivered to our room. We asked for early check-in and late check-out and we able to stay longer! Thanks again.

The ambiance of the hotel is stunning with the convenient food, drinks and pool on site. It was a tad pricing, however being a newly renovated hotel it was worth it. The staff made the stay even better, they were accommodating getting myself in the room early to decorate for my sisters birthday. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! Thank you so much to the staff, such a great getaway and we lucked out on the gorgeous weather!

When in Calestoga you must stay at Dr Wilkersons Resort. The place is extremely quaint and has an incredible vibe. The rooms are truly retro and the staff is wonderfully accommodating. Jose in particular really went out of his way to make our stay a most enjoyable. He was everywhere, a true professional. We will be back hopefully sooner than later…a great time had by all.

I am wrapping up an all-too-brief 24 hour vacation in Calistoga at Dr. Wilkinson‘s. It started with an exceptional massage, the best I’ve had in years. Continued through a lovely afternoon spent alongside the mineral pools. Great snacks from the bar. A late night plunge in the thermal pool and some time by the fire pit. A great night’s sleep in a really well-appointed room, waking to in-room Vietnamese coffee. In this short period of time, I have felt exceptionally well-cared for through both the exceptional, warm service and the overall restful ambience. We will be back here for another getaway in the coming months!
