My fiancé (now husband) and I got married on 9/16/16 at chateau de vie. It was the most magical experience we had. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay and get married. We stayed at the carriage house, which opens up to the winery and the view is just breathtaking. It's in a private area and detached from... More

We have stayed in many, many great hotels around the world but rarely, if ever, have we felt so at home. Peter & Felipe are outstanding hosts and every aspect of our stay was memorable from the beautifully appointed rooms, seriously comfortable beds, excellent freshly prepared breakfasts to the lovely location just outside Calistoga. Everything, and I really mean everything,... More

This is a little oasis at the top of the valley with beautiful views. For all the starred restaurants of Napa, the best meals we had were the amazing breakfasts brilliantly prepared by Phillip. Imagine waking up to muffins or scones in the oven. We sat outside on the deck, framed by two sycamores overlooking their vineyard to enjoy breakfast... More

I've traveled a lot, and there are very few places which have made me feel like I could stay forever! Philip and Peter were the most graceful and loving hosts I've ever met. Their house wine, a cab, was spectacular, and their breakfast was shockingly amazing! Literally, the best breakfast I've had in a hotel, B&B, etc... They freshly toasted... More

CDV is a must if you're looking for peace and serenity in an idyllic setting--it's centrally located and perfect for a multi-day stay in wine country. The King Carriage House Jr. Suite is an intimate and delightfully romantic room. The private porch opens onto the CDV vineyard, and Mt. Saint Helena rises up in the northeast. Peter and Philip are... My wife surprised me with a escape weekend away to this absolutely stunning property in the heart of wine country. Think Provencal-like beauty without the thousands of miles travel. The proprietors are simply fabulous, from the daily wine and cheese to gourmet locally sourced breakfasts. They pick the tomatoes before sunrise for you! A tip - ask for the private... More

Came to Calistoga for a family wedding. First time back in 30 years since our honeymoon. We cannot say enough good things about Chateau De Vie. First it is located in a beautiful spot. The vineyards and the mountain views are spectacular. Second the grounds and patio and pool area are beautiful. Third the Chateau is spotless and well decorated.... More

We stayed at the Chateau De Vie for two nights a few weeks ago and couldn't have had a better experience. The house and grounds are beautiful and impeccably kept. The owners, Peter and Felipe were friendly and completely attentive to our needs, but never overbearing. Our room was comfortable and amenities were plentiful. Breakfast was amazing with the freshest... More

I could not stop taking pictures. Every angle is so beautiful. The front, back patio, the pool, and the beautiful vineyards. Our room was lovely, breakfast was delicious. All of our hosts' suggestions for dinner and hiking worked perfectly. The first night, after returning from dinner, we enjoyed a night time hike through the vineyards. The second night, we soaked... Peter and Felipe make your stay unimaginable! From the awesome breakfast to the wine in the afternoon. Even helps with recommendations for things to do in the area. Love getting to know these guys. Not to mention the pool in the hot summers!
