My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in Napa and had the pleasure of staying at the lovely Chateau de Vie. The location is in Calistoga, away from the hustle and bustle from the more high trafficked areas of Napa. This translates into peace, quiet, and serene surroundings. The grounds and view from the Chateau are breathtaking. Peter was such a wonderful host, always there and welcoming, but not in an overt way, very subtle and quietly attentive. The breakfasts were superb and the evening wine and bruschetta are not to be missed!

Our room and bathroom were wonderfully appointed and the entire house was equipped with everything we needed. It is quite clear much care and thought was put in to making sure everything was available to make their guests' stay as pleasant and easy as possible. This is an absolute gem, do not hesitate to stay here!

We stayed at Chateau de Vie over New Years for our ten year wedding anniversary. I can’t say enough amazing things about the stay. It was spotless, comfortable and our Host Peter was so graciously accommodating. The breakfast prepared by Felipe in the morning was some of the best food we had on the trip. When I say delicious, that’s understated. Probably my favorite thing was to wake up to the best coffee we have ever had every morning at your door. The views and property were absolutely stunning. Truly some of the best views of the valley. Peter and Felipe also have a wine and cheese hour every evening at 5 where you can sample their delicious wine they make right there at the vineyard. It was also private, yet fun meeting other guests from around the world and chatting with them. We were truly impressed. We will definitely be staying again at the Chateau and highly recommend this to everyone.

A wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable stay at this boutique hotel, with stunning views of the local vineyards against a backdrop of the beautiful Napa mountains.

Peter was a wonderful host and super friendly, we enjoyed chatting with him, and having the opportunity to sample and purchase amazing wine made from their own vineyard.

Highly recommended.

My husband, teenage son and I spent a November weekend at Chateau de Vie for a family celebration. The accommodations were excellent and the amenities first class! Felipe and Peter, the owners, have thought of everything in terms of making sure their guests have a pleasant stay. My husband and I stayed in a suite. It was very big and very comfortable. We enjoyed the large flat screen tv and the bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room. Our son loved his room and hanging out with Marcel, the dog! The breakfasts were amazingly delicious. Our son can be a picky eater and he ate everything! Even though we were there during a pandemic, we felt safe. Felipe and Peter have worked with their housekeeping staff to make sure everything is properly sanitized. We all agreed that this was a weekend we won't soon forget. Felipe and Peter are warm and friendly and are the quintessential hosts. We will definitely return!

We were luck enough to stay at Chataeu de Vie for three nights. We stayed in the very private carriage house. Coffee was brought to our door every morning followed by breakfast on our private patio overlooking the vineyard. We eat a plant based diet so as you can imagine typical breakfast fare doesn't work for us. Let me tell you! Felipe was our host and the chef. He put together the most delicious breakfasts and a charcuterie board for us with no animal products. They were creative, beautiful and delicious. So, if you are vegan, do not hesitate to stay here. Dietary accommodations will be made with delight.
You can also stroll around the vineyard as well as the rest of the lush property. The back deck is so lovely to enjoy for breakfast, evening wine or anytime. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and visiting with them as well. Our entire stay was so relaxing and effortless and quiet. The location of this property is excellent for getting to all of the local eateries and wineries with minimal effort. When you return here after your daily adventures you feel as if you are coming home. They also have plenty of parking.
We loved Calistoga very much and will be returning for sure to stay at Chateau de Vie. Felipe is the very best host and it will bless you to meet a beautiful soul like his. Finally, did I mention that their wine is fantastic? We bought a case and will think of this beautiful place every time we enjoy it. We will be back!

This place exceeded my expectations. It is right outside of Calistoga, but on a very private piece of property, set amongst Cabernet vines. The lap pool was divine, particularly since we were there in the middle of a heat wave. Breakfasts both days were fantastic. Peter was attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. We loved our private tasting of their house wine (from their own vineyards) on the shady back patio. Room was on the second floor with a lovely view of the vineyards, and, thank God, had A/C. We'd go back.

Chateau de Vie is an oasis! The outdoor patio with beautiful trees, vineyards on both sides, a running fountain, ambiance music, pool, hot tub- all of it creates such an idyllic setting for relaxation and romance! The rooms are perfect for what you need with comfy beds, clean bathroom/showers, etc. I came here for a girls weekend with 2 other women and we had such an amazing stay. The service from Peter and Felipe (owners) is top notch. They are so attentive with servicing us and are so so friendly, offering advice for day activities and restaurants! They also prepare an exquisite breakfast in the morning that includes produce from their own garden (2 courses!!) and they are always offering cheese, wine, bruschetta if you're around during the mid afternoon. Not to mention, they have hot coffee outside your door in the morning...unreal. The Chateau de Vie is truly wonderful. I will 100% be booking again soon! Do yourself a favor and book!

This was my first time staying at the Chateau De Vie, but it will not be my last. I could not image staying anywhere else.

This B&B had such a warm and inviting feel. The hosts were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The view from the back patio overlooks the wine vineyards and the mountains. Sitting outside with a glass of wine in the evenings looking at the view was like a piece of heaven on earth.

The breakfasts served outside in the morning belong in a five star restaurant. They were not only beautiful to the eye, they were absolutely delicious. A special treat was coffee left outside your door by 7:00am.

I stayed there three nights, and every aspect exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait to go back.

Our recent visit to the Chateau exceeded all of our expectations. This was our first time ever stating at a bed and breakfast, and the owners were absolutely wonderful and made us feel completely at home. We selected this bed and breakfast over some of the others that we researched in Napa, based on the photos that we saw online of their breakfasts and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The eggs benedict, which were served for breakfast on the second day of our stay, were my favorite food that I ate on our entire trip. This is a beautiful property, with a lot of wonderful amenities, and we would highly recommend the Chateau de Vie to any friends who were looking for a place to stay while visiting Napa Valley.

This B nB was quaint and lovely. The grounds had different nice sitting areas around the beautiful gardens throughout the exterior of the house from which you can enjoy wine and cheese. If you have your own food and wine, the hosts let’s you store it in the fridge in the kitchen. Back deck area has a view of the hills which my husband and I had the opportunity to hike it’s trails. Peter and Felipe were wonderful guests who provided us with wonderful gourmet breakfasts. It’s less than a 5 minute drive to the downtown Calistoga. We enjoyed walking between the rows of grape vines on the property. Only con was that our room didn’t have a small table to use for any food or drinks we wanted to enjoy in our room, but the common living room and back deck was great to enjoy wine.

I can't imagine... the main road was quite quiet, and by east coast standards would not have been considered a highly trafficked road; additionally, the Inn's vineyard surrounds the Inn so there is no sense of being by a road while you're on the property.
