Nice cottage just outside of town. Easy check-in and out. Need to keep your eyes open for the street address in order to find the entrance to the facility. Due to Covid protocols, had no interaction with any people during entire stay
This place was in the perfect location close to Calistoga Downtown and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend it as a place to stay for a short visit.
Sweet little cottage in Calistoga. Plenty of room, bathroom with shower and continental breafast delivered each morning. The softest sheets we have ever slept in and little touches like local ground coffee left for our morning cuppa. Everything was spotless and well laud out. Parking right outside and a nice veranda with table and chairs to sit outside.
I travel to wine country each year and always stay at Aurora Park Cottages. You can't beat the accommodations and the proximity to other areas if you choose to explore wineries and restaurants. The cottages themselves are delightful, well appointed, comfortable. Each morning breakfast is brought to your cottage, to enjoy on your deck or in your cottage. And the staff and innkeeper are wonderful!
Great location for visiting the wine country of Napa Valley. Attended an event at Rombauer Winery. Nice and close. Had lunch at Calistoga Brewery which was great. Cottages had all the needed amenities and more. Definitely would visit again.
The cottage was a bit rundown. The shower had mold. Toilet paper holder was broken. Bed was comfy. Price was good. It backed up to a house or property that was having a party one night and it was loud. Breakfast was delicious. We had no instructions about what to do with the breakfast basket or how to checkout. Location was just ok. We read somewhere robes were included, not one to be seen. Overall just ok.
The property is conveniently located, within walking distance to downtown and access to shopping and restaurants. We stayed in the Aurora House, which is a 2 bed, 1 bath cottage. It was well equipped, and clean. We slept well, the bed was comfortable. Our stay included daily breakfast of pastries, fruit bowl and fresh juice. The kitchen is equipped with coffee, creamers and sugar. We totally enjoyed sitting out on the deck reading. The property manager, Kate, is readily available when needed, professional and friendly. We rented the cottage for 2 persons and it was great. We agreed, though, that with 4 persons, the bathroom would be a bit cramped for holding toiletries and hanging towels.
Our cottage was exactly what we needed after a long travel day. About a 15 minute walk into town (go through neighborhoods and not on main road), we loved the location. It was quiet and clean and the bed was SO comfortable. We had coffee and tea provided and croissants or muffins with fruit were delivered each morning. It was so good! Aurora provided a nice place to explore Calistoga!
Good location but rundown. Needs better upkeep. For the price you would expect much better. The rooms are decent size and have a good size patio, however it is really dated. The AC is old and barely functional. The shower has low water pressure and uneven hot water. The coffee maker is old. On the positive side, though on the busy main road, the rooms are quiet. It is a long walk or a short drive to the center of town. Not a good value for the money.
Aurora cottage is perfect if you want a cottage feel to your Sonoma/Napa experience. So much better than being in another hotel. It was great to having our own private cottage to come back to from our wine tastings, hikes and outings.
