Simply wonderful!!! Exceeded our expectations all the way around. The labor of love that goes into this bed and breakfast is incredible and the attention to detail that Lynn and Greg provide makes for the most memorable stay. The breakfast every morning was SO delicious and the sweet personable notes made it even sweeter!! We loved our time in Calistoga and having a wonderful place to stay made it even better. We cannot say enough great things about this place!!

My partner and I travel to Napa Valley every year. We were fortunate enough to discover the Potters and their home two trips ago. It was such an outstanding experience that we just returned on our last trip, and extended our vacation just to stay with them again! As far as bed and breakfasts go, this one tops the charts. Greg and Lynn are such kind and welcoming people you can't help but fall in love with the place on that alone. But when you add in the masterfully renovated rooms that are meticulously appointed with everything you could possibly want, you have a truly one of a kind, authentic experience that elevates the entire stay. I mean we're talking details down to different color towels every day, bottles of water placed exactly where you'd need them, a little treat like a piece of chocolate or something similar when you return from a day of wine tasting, and oh so much more. It's all of those little touches that show how much your hosts care about your comfort. And Lynn cannot be beat when it comes to breakfast. She will prepare you for your day with an unparalleled breakfast feast again with the most thoughtful of touches. I cannot say enough good things about the Potters and their establishment. Thank you Lynn and Greg for all that you do and I can't wait until we come back!

My husband and I decided to do a getaway weekend in Calistoga and wanted to try a B&B. The Foothill House goes above and beyond what you expect from a traditional B&B. Firstly, the rooms are separate units with access to the communal sunroom and gorgeous outdoor area complete with many water features. Secondly, breakfast is DELIVERED to your room in an adorable basket with tremendous amounts of delectable goodies both hot and cold including a pot of hot coffee (you can select which type of hot beverage you prefer). Thirdly, the bed was incredibly comfortable with the softest, comfiest sheets and spread. Fourthly, and most importantly, Lynn and Gregg are so inviting and warm and full of helpful tips to sightseeing in the area. They are truly amazing people. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back for another visit.

We would give them 6 stars if we could! The cottage was fantastic with high ceilings and natural light. Lynn and Gregg have thought of everything. The king bed was comfortable. The closet was large with two soft robes plus a washer and dryer. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The bathroom was over the top with a view of a small waterfall, and I spent far too much time in the bathroom watching the bird and squirrel activity. A beautiful gas fireplace separated the bathroom and living area and quickly heated the entire space. I could go on and on about the little details too, including snacks, chocolates, teas, and coffee. We were welcomed into the cottage with a bottle of chilled champagne for our 20th wedding anniversary. Every morning, Lynn or Filipa brought an amazing basket of breakfast and took care to accommodate any diet needs. Lynn even introduced me to a few lactose-free products I had never heard of. The evening appetizers were delicious and creative. The garden in the common area was breathtaking. We never spent time in the gazebo because we had two outside areas of our own, but next time, we will definitely try it out. We loved it so much, we already reserved the cottage for our anniversary next year.

I treated my husband here for his 30th birthday and, not having ever stayed at a bed & breakfast before, I believe we’ve both been spoiled now by the best experience ever at this b&b.

Lynn and Gregg were gracious hosts, super accommodating, and thoughtful. They kept the place sparkling clean, with amazing amenities like the spa bath in each room, and provided a delicious & varied breakfast everyday. The bed and sheets were super comfy, and the rooms were spacious.

They did a great job adapting to a COVID world too, with disinfecting cleanings done and sanitizing wipes/spray available everywhere.

We would stay here again in a heart beat!!

My girlfriend and I booked a weekend here as a getaway for the weekend. We'd both been under a lot of stress at work, and she took to calling it her rescue mission for our sanity.

We couldn't have dreamed of a better experience. The room was beautiful, spacious, well-lit, and homey, with multiple sitting areas, a set table, and a private patio. Everything seemed like it had been thought of, with lots of touches in the room.

The host welcomed us by bringing wine to our room, and while she'd mistaken that it was one of our birthdays, she insisted on going out and getting us two pieces of beautiful lemon cake, which she left on the table when we were out at dinner.

The breakfasts were exquisite, and the experience of having everything brought to our door for a private dining experience (including fresh squeezed juice, coffee, and multiple courses) made us feel so special. They even brought us champagne for brunch the second morning!

We had a perfect experience, and felt so refreshed after staying here. We'll definitely be back.

We booked all 4 suites for a family wedding in August at the Triple SSS Ranch; so of course, were able to view all of them. All 4 are unique; very private with beautifully appointed rooms. All have individual entrances and private sitting areas. The highlight are the personalized breakfasts delivered in a basket to your door in the morning. We ate ours out on our patio. Very serene and peaceful. Lynn went all out to make us feel comfortable. We used the gazebo in the spectacular gardens. Each suite has its own parking spot. Foothill House is a 5 minute drive to town. if we are ever back in Calistoga, Potters Foothill House is where we will stay.....Thanks for your kindness, Lynn!!!

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights after taking the train down from Portland. We arrived well before check-in time extremely tired from our trip. Lynn greeted us and gave some outstanding recommendations for lunch where we could relax while the finishing touches were put on our cottage . Upon returning for check-in, Lynn welcomed us into the sunroom where we chatted about wineries, things to do, etc. before walking through the beautiful garden area to our place. We were stunned upon entering our cottage due to all of the little touches throughout. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast (beyond anything typically found at a hotel) outside on our patio area with the waterfall in the background and the beautiful view in front of us. After our daily adventures, we opted to pick up food and enjoy dinner, also on the patio, with a bottle of wine purchased on the winery tour of the day and with visits from the hummingbirds. Throughout our trip, Lynn made sure we had plenty of bottled water, snacks, etc. and was ready with recommendations. This was such a relaxing 3 days!!! We will definitely return!

This is the one… it is Divine! So beautiful and breathtaking. Not your typical B&B. It is private, you have your own suite (unshared), with just three suites in total. Breakfast even comes to your door. Every inch of the complex exudes love and romance. A very special place (decorated with hearts, stars, angels, and butterflies). It is a family owned, five-star, luxurious experience. Just book it, you won’t be disappointed. A zillion, thank you’s for every detail… we felt the love! Katerina and Chris from Canada.

Lynn and Gregg are incredibly gracious hosts. The rooms are well-appointed with some fun personal touches. Breakfasts are special (homemade frittata, French toast…) and an appetizer happy hour was a perfect end to the day. Location is a 30min walk to town and easy to get to all the Napa vineyards.
