From the first sip of wine at check-in, to the surprising thematic cookies in honor of all our celebrations along with a photo of us in a silver frame by our bedside to mark our wedding anniversary to the delectable, diverse palate pleasers at Solbar and Chef's Lounge to the refreshing dips in the oversized pool, to area hikes to biking around the property to luxurious invigorating spa treatments to an attractive range of amenities and friendly and prompt service, our four-day stay at Solage had only one drawback -- it was too short!

We experienced a power outage at 5am on the first evening of our stay. The staff did not notify us regarding the outage or any of the issues stemming from the outage. We learned from our friends that the Solbar was serving a modified breakfast, but we spent most of the morning rearranging our reservations as there was no indication when the power would be restored and there was smoke and ash falling. By the time we had made our arrangements to check out early, the Solbar had closed for breakfast but the Front Desk did not offer any compensation for the meal, nor for the inconvenience of the outage. Though we understand that the outage was not under their control, they did not seem apologetic, helpful, or even friendly/empathetic as we scrambled to change our plans. It did not leave a good impression on us as we left. Aside from that, our first afternoon and evening was very enjoyable. We enjoyed the five geothermal pools, the wonderfully infused water available at the spa, the bikes they provided to cruise around the property, and the room. Our fridge didn't work but they promptly gave us a new one. The patio of our bungalow had a nice firepit and fountain, and the robes in the room were AMAZING. All in all, I'd imagine we would've had a very pleasant stay had there not been the outage. Since fires are an unfortunate annual experience, we expected the staff to be better prepared for how to help the guests.

Stayed here for one night. Rooms were gorgeous and updated. Big pool & kid’s area that allowed for us to social distance safely. Spa is open for massages outside. I felt incredibly safe. Solar food was delicious as were the cocktails.

If you come on a week day be prepared to hear construction noise because there are new cottages and a new restaurant being built. Also there are more guests than the restaurant can handle to feed, so you will need to go off the property to eat meals. The grounds don't have enough staff to trim the bushes and care for the cottages, which are very dated, so the resort appears "tired" which begs for an upgrade. Not the kind of place I would go to again.
