Sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere. Minutes from downtown Calistoga. Wellness area with large seasonally heated mineral water lap pool, Mineral water hot tub, dry sauna, massage room, and bathroom-shower room. Covered pool garden with eating areas , chaise lounges, and privacy. In house massages available. Day pass use with prior reservation. Small dogs accepted for a fee. Not suitable for children because of safety and privacy reasons.

My wife and I spent a night here for a romantic getaway. It was all we could have wished, and then more: the property is serene and pristine; our suite was exquisitely arranged, was very ample and had an expansive veranda and beautiful views. On top of that, Kurt is an awesome host who made us truly welcomed, like we've known each other for years. The Meadowlark is possibly the best kept secret in Calistoga.

From the driveway crossing the covered bridge, taking in the beautiful flowers lining the drive, enjoying the fantastic breakfast all fresco, enjoying the daily recommendations of the hosts to plan your day, This is paradise. A beautiful gentleman's ranch settled on the hillside in Calistogo. These two fine gentleman extend their gracious living for all to enjoy. We came to paradise to enjoy the fresh air, the mineral water pool and the comfortable environment. My wife and spent five days soaking in the sun and swimming in the pool. We have been here several times in the past and we look forward to returning again in the future. Calistoga is a long way from Maryland but the memories keep this place close to the heart. From our check-in to our check-out, everything met or exceeded our expectations. At the last minute, our plans changed and instead of a late arrival, we were able to arrive 6 hours early. I emailed Kurt and shared this information with him and in typical Kurt response, "IT'S NO PROBLEM". I believe this is the motto for Meadowlark. Morning breakfast was wonderful each day. It was family style and a great way to meet and converse with our hosts and other guests. Beds and rooms were clean and in great shape. Sauna heats up quick and the spa is always available. Pool was too cold for a swim, it is the end of October. Why wouldn't it be cool. Kurt & Richard, we will be back soon!

My wife and I recently returned from another relaxing stay at the Meadowlark. Located just minutes from downtown Calistoga, the resort offers an incredibly tranquil and beautiful setting. The rooms are clean and well-appointed and the owners, Kurt and Richard, are gracious hosts. We really enjoyed our conversations with them, and Kurt gave us excellent restaurant recommendations! Maria cooks a delicious breakfast which is served on the porch of the main building each morning. After exploring the shops downtown, hiking, and visiting wineries each day, we were very happy to return to relax at the Meadowlark. We spent most of our afternoons lounging by the clothing-optional pool. The pool area is spacious and sits against a backdrop of the Calistoga hills, with beautiful views of oak trees and redwoods in the distance. There are plenty of options for sun or shade by the pool. We enjoyed refreshing swims in the pool and relaxing soaks in the hot tub. If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is it! We have been to the Napa Valley region on several occasions, and this was our first visit to Meadowlark. All in all, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meadowlark – everything was from the accommodations and amenities to the and hospitable hosts and were very impressed with our spacious accommodations and relaxing pool area. We stayed at the beautifully appointed and spacious Meadow House, which had a very updated and refreshing 5-star look and feel. On the outside, a large spacious stone patio was accessible from either the living or sleeping area – and was surrounded by beautiful landscaping for tons of privacy and enjoyment. Meadowlark comes with the kind of charm and allure that will most definitely bring us back for another relaxing and enjoyable time!

The Meadowlark Country House and Resort is conveniently located just outside of Calistoga, in the beautiful Napa Valley. When we arrived on the property, we immediately relaxed. The rooms are very comfortable, the atmosphere welcoming and inviting. The pool and spa area are very well maintained. The property has multiple seating and relaxation areas, including a water fountain seating terrace. There is a lovely path that leads to an upper terrace where you may enjoy views of the nearby mountains. Hosts Kurt and Richard ensured that we were happy with the accommodations. First of all, we knew before coming here that clothing was optional and we were totally ok with it. What we didnt like was this guy that sat in the corner the whole day naked with his laptop. This guy was getting off touching himself trying to cover with a towel while watching naked people. He might of been recording all the naked people on his laptop to be honest. We sat behind him so we saw everything he was doing. This happened later in the day when the owners left. This pervert made small talks with my friend and mentioned how he loved this place, and we can see why. The only reason why im giving this place a 2 star was because the owners were nice. Also they dont tell you on the website or when you call that its extra $10 for the day pass if you pay with a credit card. Pictures of the PERVERT attached…

You Ana .....arrived at meadowlark to enjoy the day with your women friends. You left and come back with bags of food and wine. I ask you what is going on and one of your friends let me know it is a birthday celebration. I was not informed this will happen. During the afternoon the drinking and eating continued until it got very loud and out of hand. Our Pool area had many lodging guests including me the owner, enjoying the pleasure of quietness . The behavier of you, the birthday child and your friends, become louder and out of control and an irrritation for me as well as the other guests at the pool areas. I had been at the pool the whole day looking forward to relax . I got slightly angry. I had to tell you ANA and your friends your behaving showes no respect to anyone else, it can not be a party. I told you ANA to quiet down and your friends where saying = she always likes to be in charge and getting loud.= I told the group af women to be respectful to others who are at the pool or leave.. Shortly after the three women departed. The Men who is descriped as sitting in the corner nude with a laptop is a long time guests and friend. He was sitting opposite of me working on his labtop. He is the one helping to keep the pool area need and clean and orderly. For many years I appriciate his help. Never ever would he behave in this way descriped by you ANA. ANA ...you are angry you got corrected and put in your place by me, the owner. You didnt like it. You and your partys loud behavior was disrespectful. Your friends agreed you can get out of hand when drinking. The guests with the laptop you write about as a pervert is the one taking care of the pool area to maintain a pleasent athmospher. He talked to you and your friend just to see how drunk you where. Nothing else happend. Stay awqy from Meadowlark.

Kurt and Richard are such gracious hosts. They have a truly beautiful property with well appointed rooms and gourmet breakfasts, but the stand out amenity is the pool with its lush gardens along with Sauna and Jacuzzi. The atmosphere is so tranquil and chill and friendly. We have been coming to Meadowlark Country House for many years now and we always leave knowing we will be back.

Our third trip to Meadowlark was glorious. Everything was as it should be - our preferred room was ready on the early side, the hosts were their usual friendly and laid-back style, and the pool area was just perfect. Despite being full we had the pool and hot tub area all to ourselves for 5 hours in the evening. We took a tour of the newly renovated Meadow House and were impressed. Can't wait until our next trip up!
